Born into an ancient clan of ninjas, Kiemasu, commonly known as KI, has lived anything but a normal life. Isolated from society, deep in the mountains, he was forced to learn the ways of the ninja and assassination. Practicing on wild animals, with nothing but knives and throwing stars, KI became a master of the ninja arts early at the age of 10. His talent led him to his first assassination mission at the age of 11, a daunting three years before most other children of his clan.
Accompanied by his father and elder sister, he ventured out to a distant city in search of his target. Using timeless methods, such as interrogation, they located the young boy's target, a wealthy 'up and coming' politician. But KI's curiosity along the way brought up questions like, "Why don't we use one of those hand held communication devices or table top machines to find the target?" This earned him a swift smack across the face from his elder sister, which seemed to satisfy his father who was preparing to much the same thing. Taking the message, KI spoke no more of the magical devices. Following the politician around on a night of debauchery and sin, KI was exposed to many new sights. As the night grew late, the politician began his walk home with only five body guards protecting his drunken self. As the group, turned down a dim lit alley, KI felt his chance, the moment where the pack's visibility was poor and energy levels low. With but on swift kunai to the back of the head, the politician fell dead. Soon after a flurry of bullets started being shot in the vague direction of the ninja trio, but to no avail. They were long out of range by the time the third bullet was even fired.
Upon arrival home, his father spoke to him about the frivolous lives people of the outside world live and the technologies on which they rely. Assured that the timeless traditions of the clan were more than enough to complete any mission, KI was forbidden to ever use any kind of machine. He was to study their weaknesses and nothing more. KI nodded in understanding, but secretly harbored curiosity for the devices he saw while on his mission, especially the loud things called guns that the politician's body guards had tried to use for defense. Mission after mission, KI did just as he was told and studied the machines of the outside world, but never touching them.
Upon the night of his sixteenth birthday, the day of manhood in his clan, KI abandoned the settlement. Such desertion resulted in being labeled a traitor. Today, KI wanders the world as a mercenary, using a perfect blend of ancient teachings and modern technology to complete his missions. One never knows what new gadget might be hiding under the young man's cloak.
