This is my second profile on here, and I have been Play-By-Post RPing for about nine years now. I do my best to see every RP to the end or at least let my character come to his/her own dramatic conclusion when I feel like signing off. Just like novel writing in real life, I tend to find myself on long hiatuses. Since writing is a great way to work out your brain, I try stay engaged as much as possible.
My favorite genres include futuristic worlds, mysteries, and super powers. Any mixture of these three elements will peek my interest.

I hate to stifle creative genius, and I love your writing style. That being said, there are some minor issues with your last post.
1) You just "discovered" something new on your outfit. The only thing everyone wakes up with is blue scrubs. If you want a watch like that, you should take your character to a store and "buy" one for free.
2) You literally don't get hungry in Paradise City. You can eat because you wanna, but there is no physiological need to eat.
That's all. Please edit your last post. Again, I love what you wrote, but we gotta keep the lore of this RP consistent.

I'll share stuff related to gameplay, not plot.
There will be quests. These quests will be started in a separate threads, but linked to this one. Each quest will have objectives and a reward.
The objectives will be simple like, 'defeat so many bad guys' and 'each person must post X amount of times'. The reward will be hidden until the quest is cleared for the first time. The reward will be either a 'special item' or 'special ability'. These will give your character access to new areas or allow them to do extraordinary things.
To start a quest, each person will have to meet a certain level. The combined level of everyone questing together must also meet a minimum.
That's pretty much all you need to know about the leveling system and 'special abilities and items'.

I'm working on my next post now. Like I mentioned, this post will begin the night time cycle. Also, this post will reveal the true usage behind the level system.

Should we possibly fastforward the introductions a bit?
The only say I'm going to have on time will be on Wednesday. Come Wednesday, everyone will have to do a little time skip to the beginning of nighttime.
You can spend the whole week (daytime in the RP) on introductions if that's what you all want. But I do suggest that everyone get out of the blue scrubs this week or on the first time skip post after Wednesday.

I've starred to think that this RP would benefit from having a predictable steady pace.I want to try setting the time of day based off real life time. That way the RP feels a little closer to the real world.
Every Wednesday, I will make a post that will take place at dawn or dusk. So posts you make this week will be during the day time. Posts next week will be at night, and so forth.
The exact time of your posts in the RP world is not related to the days of the week or anything. It can still be morning even if it's Tuesday. You all set that pace. But come Wednesday, it will be night time.
This requires me to make a post once a week. This weekly post will contain at least somewhat important info. If you see me post on any other day of the week, you better bet it's important plot moving info.

The morning news is an unavoidable spectacle in Paradise City. It’s a moment that everyone takes out of their busy day of frolicking to listen to the same two happy faces. They are displayed on every TV, electronic billboard, and even floating holographic displays that pop up in older style streets. With a beautiful artificial sunrise as their background, a young man and woman recite the “important” news of the city.
“GOOOOD morning Paradise City! It’s us again, Randy McFeelgood!”
“And his much more attractive co-host, Trixie Goodlife!”
“Oh Trixie, you hurt my feelings!”
“Oh shut it Randy. Since when do you have feelings?”
The couple laughs in sync, stopping at the same moment as well. Their perfect harmony of joy may seem a little unsettling, but after a while, most people get used to it. After all, it’s widely believed that they are a pair of androids or perhaps a computer program. That being the case, what else would you expect?
“So Trixie, will you do the honors of welcoming todays new arrivals or should I?”
“I think I will this time, Randy. You can go next time.”
“Okay, if you insist!”
“Today we have five new arrivals!”
“Oh wow, five!? That’s my favorite number!”
“Mine too! Anyways, let’s all give a warm welcome to these new darlings. We all know how hard things can be in the beginning.”
On cue, almost everyone in the city starts to applaud. The few people that don’t clap are presumably new as well. After an appropriate amount of time, Trixie begins to introduce each new inhabitant one by one. Introductions consist what period in time and what part of the world they come from, all while showing a picture of their faces and names. At the end of the introductions, Trixie signals another well received applause.
“That sure was lovely, Trixie! You did a great job.”
“Awe thanks, Randy!”
“And since you did the morning introductions, I’m going to do the morning announcements!”
“That sounds fair to me!”
“We only have one important notice to share with you all today, but in my opinion, it’s the most important announcement we have ever made!”
“Oh, you always say that, Randy!”
“Shhhh!! The new people don’t know that!”
“Hahaha!” “Bahaha!”
Anyways, as I was saying, we have but one announcement today. Today-"
“And every day from here on out!”
“Exactly! Every day from now until the end of days, you will be able to look back on our morning news reports. We will be posting a summary on our new website, “Good Morning Paradise” dot com. I suggest buying a smart phone when you get the chance. That way, you can look up our website wherever you may be! If you don’t know about smart phones or the internet, just ask a friendly face. It is September 30th, and we now have our first five people. As promised, this RP is now temporarily labeled as FULL. If all goes according to plan, I will consider allowing five more people to enter the RP come next week. I won't make this decision alone mind you. You five will help me decide by a majority rules decision.
New people may still submit character sheets in the CHAR section, but submitting a character sheet does not equal approval for posting in the IC section. Submitting a character sheet is equivalent to getting in line at the amusement park.
I'll edit a condensed version of this announcement into the OOC opening post.
I'm excited! This is going to be fun! Mwahaha!!
