Bio

This is my second profile on here, and I have been Play-By-Post RPing for about nine years now. I do my best to see every RP to the end or at least let my character come to his/her own dramatic conclusion when I feel like signing off. Just like novel writing in real life, I tend to find myself on long hiatuses. Since writing is a great way to work out your brain, I try stay engaged as much as possible.

My favorite genres include futuristic worlds, mysteries, and super powers. Any mixture of these three elements will peek my interest.

The great ball dinged it's success, and Liz ran over to collect the ball. She smiled and placed the Bayleef with her other pokeballs, she than called back Arachne.

"You did an amazing job Arachne, though I think our new friend Chloris will be a bit of a hand full. We will get by, with her on our team now." Liz looked to the setting sun, she decided to press on and get closer to Zuerest Town before buckling down for the night again.

The sun dropped quickly. The forest trees weren't helping either. It was indeed night time once again.

Soon Liz would come across two Hoothoot fighting over a berry. Then one Hoothoot used Confusion on the other. The other was stunned for a moment, while the caster grabbed up the berry and began to flee. The effected Hoothoot came to its senses in time to give chase to its rival.

Upon closer inspection, Liz would find two ripe berries upon the bush the Hoothoot were fighting near (if her eye is keen enough to notice).

30% Chance Common (Three per area, currently)
20% Chance Uncommon (Two per area....)
10% Chance Rare (One per area)
1% Chance Legendary / Pseudo legendary. (One per area / But they move around sometimes)

The rest of the percentages are split between items and trainers.

Arachne completely took the Bayleaf by complete surprise. Infestation was such a strong hit that Liz knew not to push her luck and lose out on an other pokemon. She reached and grabbed the new blue ball she had just purchased.

"Alright you, with you on my team we will be overwhelming, join me on my journey to be the best, we will beat everyone in our path!!" With that the great ball was thrown into the air with a beeline to Bayleaf's head. The ball sucked up the starter and now Liz waited with baited breath of a capture.

The Great Ball's blue beam of light took in the Bayleef. She wasn't happy with this at all....

One shake....
.......Two shake.....
.............Three shake........

Ding!

Despite her struggles, she couldn't escape. Liz had caught herself a Bayleef!

Result: Liz Caught a Bayleef!

...That Furret from earlier? Just a lesson in humility. Whether they'd learn that lesson was another matter entirely; for the moment Rin had other concerns. Returning Olotah to his pokéball, Rin called out for Osajyin to follow as they ran back to bushes of the shore's treeline; searching for tall grass full of Pokémon. "Seven-Hundred-Ninety-Eight, here we come!" Who knows if that Furret would still follow, or maybe Rin really had seen the last of her slinking figure. Only time would tell.

On the other side of the bushes, a wild Smeargle was hard at work on a master piece. Like the Smeargle Rin had already captured, this Smeargle this one was painting on a rock looking out to the ocean. This Smeargle's tale was white. Her job in this Smeargle mural was apparently to paint the stars and reflections off the water.

Then, Smeargle sensed Rin's presence. She turned her head to look. She dismissed the human with a sassy head turn, back to her artwork. If that human had the nerve to interrupt her, she would teach them a lesson!

The "Max Cap" is moving.

Your strongest Pokemon's level, plus your weakest Pokemon's level, plus the random level rolled, divided by three.

There are only hard caps for entire Pokemon species (depending on their rarity). The Chikorita line is considered rare (with only one tier above it (Legendary/Pseudo Legendary). There are no route specific limitations.
Rainbow colored leaves fell just short of Liz, she looked up and saw an aggressive Bayleaf in the shadows. Liz had a wicked smile on her face, her entire team was structured towards fighting Grass types, despite an obvious weaker team her advantage should play a factor.

"Arachne, let's go, show this Bayleaf how your infestation looks!!" The spider popped out it's pincers moving itching for a fight!!

Bayleef laughed at the tiny spider Pokemon that was before her. She knew that the little thing had a type advantage, but it looked so weak. Bayleef looked forward to squashing the little bug, surely a Tackle would get the job done.

But things did not go her way. The Infestation that Arachne used targeted her vital points. And with such a tiny target, she completely missed hitting the bug as well.

Result: Spinarak's Attack Does Damage

The poor little Sentret fainted under the power of Hephaestus's ember. Liz was somewhat disappointed, but there wasn't anything she could do. She recalled the little monkey pokemon and continued on her way, eventually she entered the forest alerting her to the fact she was about halfway home, it was at this moment she wished Murkrow could fly her to make it faster and easier.

"At least this will all be worth it in the end!! I will unlock a new ability and be that much stronger for it!!"

Night was beginning to fall as Liz reached the forest, a familiar scene for her indeed. From the shadows of the forest came some rainbow looking leaves (Magical Leaf). They stuck into the ground in front of her. If that would have connected, that would have been bad. If she looked carefully, she could see the distinct shape of a teenage Bayleef. The Bayleef smile was wide, mischevious, and down right naughty. She was an intimidating foe indeed.

Liz followed the path back to Zuerest, which was so far faster than going the way she had originally. Her eyes constantly searching both sides of the peaceful route, ever vigilant for Pokemon. Atop one grassy hill she spotted a figure bobbing up and down. It had a long slender body, Liz produced her Pokedex and it informed her the Pokemon was a Sentret. She would like to have that to her team, it's slick body made it look very fast.

"Alright Hephaestus, let's go buddy, use ember!!" Hephaestus popped out of the ball flames already building in his mouth.

Hephaestus's embers launch toward the timid little Sentret. She closes her eyes and rolls into a ball (Defense Curl). Unfortuantly Chimchar's Embers were far too powerful for the little creature. She fainted. Two seconds later, a couple of her Sentret buddies swung by and picked her up. Two more seconds and they were gone as quick as they came.

Result: Hephaestus is too Strong

"I will be back in two days time Spunky, I want a rematch with you got it?? I have to win, nothing will get in my way of my dream of being champion!!" Liz turned and walked out of the gym, she took her Pokemon back to the center to be checked on and after the ok was back on the road to Zuerest Town, hopefully her Pokemon will be stronger when she returned, she would learn about Z-Crystals too!! As she left town she noticed a path leading back to Zuerest, hopefully this time the trip wouldn't take so long!!

As Liz walked down the main path through the hills, she was being watched from a distance. Very timidly, a wild Sentret bobbed up and down out of the tall grass. Half of her wanted to come in and say hello to the human. Half of her wanted to stay as far away as possible. She settled for watching from a distance.

Rin tapped their chin before putting it as plain as they could, "You are an evolved pokémon, so I'm sure you know how this goes. If you wanna hangout, we gotta battle. Friends fight, it's like bonding or something, but with physical pain. I'm sure you understand right?" Rin gave the Furret two thumbs up and a genuine smile before nodding to Anusobeket. As requested, she fired a volley of water from her mouth with her STAB Water Gun. "Osajyin! Make sure she doesn't run off," Rin called out as they waved over the (still) Leaf Pokémon. The thought of a wild Furret following was appealing, but Rin would much rather just catch her. They still have Seven-Hundred-Ninety-Eight pokémon left to catch after all!

Anusobeket released a powerful Water Gun, but Furret's instincts were too fast. A split second before the Water Gun made contact, she disappeared into the grass. The next second, she reemerged. She was on a direct collision course using Quick Attack on the unsuspecting Totodile. As amazingly as her speed was, it would take a slow motion camera to see her feet landing on the ground gently, not making a sound. Though the inevitable crash into Anu would be anything but gentle.

Result: Furret's Grace and Speed
