Bio

This is my second profile on here, and I have been Play-By-Post RPing for about nine years now. I do my best to see every RP to the end or at least let my character come to his/her own dramatic conclusion when I feel like signing off. Just like novel writing in real life, I tend to find myself on long hiatuses. Since writing is a great way to work out your brain, I try stay engaged as much as possible.

My favorite genres include futuristic worlds, mysteries, and super powers. Any mixture of these three elements will peek my interest.

Liz was getting generally annoyed with this Duskull, Chloris was her strongest pokemon and this little ghost type was messing her whole day up!! She knew she had to switch pokemon, but Enyo would have no effect against it,maybe Hephaestus, she called back Chloris and sent out the Monferno hoping the Duskull did not take off.

"Hephaestus, burn the shit out of this spirit, use Ember!!" She called out.

Chloris was recalled back into her Pokeball, and Liz sent out Hephaestus in her place. Breathing in deeply, Hephaestus prepared for his attack. The wild Duskull seemed to be focused on the red light that had just absorbed the grass type Pokemon. Maybe this would be the perfect moment to catch him off guard.

But then a nightmarish figure appeared behind Hephaestus and let out another familiar scream. It was Duskull's Shadow Sneak attack again. He was only pretending to let his guard down. A strong slash came from out of the shadows and hit Hephaestus hard.

Result: Duskull's Rampage

At least they understand, and I cannot really hurt them too badly, so all is good! When I finally reach Route 1, I step towards the long grass, the wind in my hair and my special full body suit(similar to a zerosuit or a bodysuit from the Half-life series) radiating with passion. Shortly after I start taking in the area, a strange sense of Deja-Vu fills me. I have been here before. I push that aside, and start studying the wildlife and the plant life, in case this information will come into handy.

As Steven worked his way through the forest, a wild Hoothoot followed, fluttering from tree top to tree top. She had a plan. As soon as she could land in a tree directly above his head without him noticing, she would fly down and give him a nice peck on the head. Her only motivation for such a random act of violence would be her naughty nature (picking on trainers is her forte).

@SupernovaBlitz

Usually, interaction with wild pokemon is left to Balthazar, it's run like a D&D campaign, where he takes to give you a wild pokemon and takes control of what they do

This is correct. You'll have to erase the part where you bumped into the Hoothoot. First I have to roll dice and see what's going to happen first. There's a chance you'll get a Hoothoot, but we'll see.
@SupernovaBlitz

After reviewing your character sheet, here are my concerns, suggestions, and comments:
1st: I don't know why, but the picture for your character isn't showing up. I can follow the link to Deviant Art and see it that way. So if you could find a way to fix that, that would be cool. If not, it'll be okay.

2nd: I'm only going to allow the Vulpix gift thing in order to help you catch up to @Cerces22. Also, whether you realized it or not, your character's father being from a far off city and gifting you a Vulpix firmly lands him as the Professor of Large City #1 (Yet to be named). That area of Primis primarily hosts Gen 1 Pokemon.

3rd: Why does Steven go to the lab, but then wait 5 months to begin his journey? This seems a little awkward, given that we keep track of time in this RP. BUT we can work with it. This will have to place your B-Day in August. So that you can join our time line, five months later, in January.

With all that in mind, this is what I'd like you to do. For your first IC post, I want you to vaguely detail the events of Steven's birthday in August where he will choose a starter Pokemon from any generation. Then you will cover what Steven was doing for 5 months before he started his Journey in January. That will all be in your first IC post.

In your second IC post, I will be starting you on January 2nd. So you just missed Liz and Rin starting off their journeys. From there you can move at your own pace.

Also, until you catch up with Liz in the time line, you will have the ability to time skip 24 hours within your IC posts. You can use these time skips to travel and level up all your party Pokemon by 1 level. To get the most out of this, I would suggest you not start time skipping until you catch your sixth Pokemon. Counting your level 5 starter Pokemon from the lab and your Vulpix (which I'll also allow to start at level 5), you will already have 2 Pokemon. So you'll want to catch four more before time skipping.
Hopefully Balthy will be back soon, he's usually never gone this long, he may be sick

Oh dear, I hope he gets better if he is sick. I did read on his profile bio that he apparently has hiatuses, so maybe this is what is going on?

You are both right in a way. These last few days were another hiatus. And I did get sick for a day (hungover really).

It was a mixture of getting a new job, celebrating my birthday, and rehearsing for a stand up comedy performance. I'm settling in to the job smoothly, I'm done celebrating my b-day, and the comedy show went well. So I'm all set to get back on the ball here.

I see nobody saw my post... Am I allowed to join? I could help change this from a 1 on 1 role-play to a good multi person RP. I am very literate and have a love for Pokemon, and I have a fully fleshed out character.

Nice to meet you. I suppose a spot has opened up. So yeah, let's work on getting you into the RP. My next post will be targeted toward how we can do that.
Hi you two, if you haven't seen my little profile status, then I regret to inform you that I lost both of my devices last sunday when I went down to Ohio for a family trip. There is still technically a chance they'll show up, but seeing as we had to bounce around to two different hotels before settling in at my aunt's house I seriously doubt it. So seeing as my only connection to the Internet now is my Nana's computer (that I'm using now), and I only see her every other week at best, I will have to drop out of this RP, along with this site altogether.

I will miss you both, and I want to thank you for making this such a lovely and hilarious experience. Especially I will cherish my memories of teasing and beating Liz, and bothering Balthy to no end with all my one-hundred-million questions!

I hope you'll be able to continue this RP as a 1×1, if not I'm sorry again, but it's quite out of my control. I hope this won't be, but if this is the last we talk at all I just want to say: stay happy, stay inspired, and stay you.

Oh no! I'm sad to hear that you'll be dropping out. If you ever want to rejoin, just ask. We might be able to time skip you back into the loop.

Best Wishes!
The Duskull unleashed a quick Shadow Sneak, disrupting Chloris's attack. She shook her head recovering it's senses. It was ready to attack once more, the sun going lower in the sky.

"Come on girl, we got this, use razor leaf!!" Liz shouted out to her Pokemon.

They say that when normally calm and lax people become angry, the sight is horrific. It turns out the same can be said for Pokemon.

As Chloris launched her Razor Leaf, Duskull charged. As he charged, he also zig zagged in such a way that it created after images. The leaves kept hitting these after images and not Duskull himself. Once in range, Duskull let out the most horrific scream imaginable, worse than that of his Shadow Sneak attack. This caused Chloris to quit attacking and flinch. He then struck Chloris back down to the ground and hovered above her body. A dark aura surrounded his body.

Result: Wrath of Duskull

"Woah. Hey there, buddy," Rin put their hands up inoffensive and did their best to lace their tone in warm sentiment as they approached the wild pokémon. "How are you?" Rin smiled gently and reached out to pet the Skarmory's beak.

Skarmory spread his wings in alarm as Rin reached out their hand, but he calmed down quickly. The human didn't appear to be threatening. So he lowered his wings and allowed Rin to touch his beak.

As Rin pet his beak, Skarmory remained silent. Any time they would slow down too much, he would nuzzle his beak into their hand. Eventually, this relaxed him enough to lay down on the ground, next to one of the black fences.

That's when a man appeared from behind one of the fences. He wore a plain white T-shirt with blue jeans and a green hat. He didn't look happy at all. "What do you think you're doing kid!? Kick that thing! Get it out of here!"

Naturally Rin had something to say on the matter, but he was ready for it. "I don't care! Look around you. Look at these fences. You see those holes. Those are from wild Skarmory like this one! Sometimes they even get behind the fences and peck at the machinery, and I'm the one that has to fix 'em. I don't care what your deal is with this thing. Get it the hell out of here, NOW!" The man's face was beet red.

Hopefully meta returns soon as well, I loathe to think the sites temp crash caused my rival to flee away, my victory of the champion would lose all meaning

I have a feeling they'll be back soon.
EDIT: Not that I've heard from them. That's just a guess.
"Chloris, I need this pokemon, I know you just worked real hard cut through that growth, but I need you a little longer. Use Magical Leaf." She whispered to Chloris. Who quietly nodded as it prepared it's move.

The wild Duskull hovered on the cliffs edge with his back Liz. He knew she was there, but he didn't care. He might say hello after the sunset, but this was his favorite time of day; dusk, the time of day that his species is named after. Nothing would ruin that... or so he thought.

In the silence, he heard a whisper. This caught his attention just enough to turn around and see Chloris preparing to attack. Suddenly all his lax naturedness dissipated. He was furious. "How dare they interrupt his moment of solitude! It's all I look forward to each day." he thought.

And so, with the sun to his back, he unleashed his attack. His shadow was already cast toward the trainer and her Pokemon. So it didn't take much effort to twist it around a little. By doing so, he created a nightmarish figure behind Chloris. It called out with a scream (the stuff of nightmares) and then slashed at Chloris.

Chloris was unable to launch her attack and the Shadow Sneak landed square on her back.

Result: Angry Ghost
