@CollectorOfMyst Yup, and I've sent a PM asking if they're still with us or no, since they've been kinda inactive for a while. We'll wait a bit and see if they are or not.
@13org Also, I should mention that while you are allowed to behave slightly treacherously, and insinuate that Kat would also accept employment from the heavens' Eyes - and indeed I should congratulate you, because that certainly seems very in character for her - it will make the IRIO very, very wary of her. Kay's going to be under Daniel's distrustful gaze. It'll make this game very interesting, to be sure.
[@DeadnautNo worries. I'm just happy we're still going.
@Buddhaas a Briton I resent that. I shall have to throw my tea at you.
I'm so ready for this. Kitchen Chemistry here we come, bitches. I hope Japan is ready for bootlegged TNT.
Frowning, Michael peered through the scope at the fire. No signs of major enchantment - so it probably wasn't a firetrap - and at the same time, an apparent complete lack of life nearby. It was, as far as things were, rather strange. Watching from the forest, his hood pulled up and his green cloak on, he lay in wait, beginning the drill all military men are well acquainted with - the one where they sit there, and wait. For as long as waiting takes.

It was, of course, really sodding boring.

As he sat in his position, deep within the woods, his rifle trained expertly on the spot they'd been told to meet at, it began to rain gently. Not a drizzle, too heavy for that, with droplets large enough to make your skin notice them, but also far too light to be considered proper rain. That kind of sweet spot for rain. It wasn't even terribly cold - the sniper in him made Michael feel like it might even be, under the correct set of circumstances, rather pleasant.

He peeked around the scope, adjusting his field of view, to see if there might be anything else around the fire he'd failed to notice - though that was as unlikely as he was old, which is to say, quite unlikely.

Michael glanced down at his watch.

The meeting was due to begin soon.

Hm. Give it another half hour, then bugger off. That's a safe margin.
@CollectorOfMyst Well, where would you rather your character hang out? A slightly dingy but overall respectable Victorian inn, powered by steam, or a shady jazz club from the early 1920s?
By the way, what are you guys feeling in terms of General theme and air? The Iron Dominion is verging on dieselpunk right now, but I feel like their culture should remain dominantly British imperial. You guys want mostly Victorian-esque themes and steampunk style? Or shall we sort of dip back and forth between that and a swingier dieselpunk setting depending on where we are?
@CollectorOfMyst Well, I can neither confirm nor deny that this is true.
@CollectorOfMyst Oh, you mean the Heavens' Twits?
