When you are so emotional you are close to dropping from every rp you are in just so people won't have to deal with you anymore

When a character that meant something to you gets torn down and thrown away like trash... 😢

How is life?

Just jumping on during my breaks to check on things. Work has been crazy. I had a panic attack about an hour ago. Can't wait to get off today and get home so I can relax and post.
Hey guys. Long day at work today and working tomorrow but I will be able to post tomorrow night no problem. Sorry for the delay.
Nikki suddenly reappeared out of nowhere with a two new people. "Where's Ethan? I thought you went back for him?" Kat asked as they took out the remaining walkers. She wasn't being accusing in her question she just wanted to know. Nikki had taken off back into the horde to get Ethan and Jason and her she was back with two other people and neither of the men she went after in sight.

And the new guy mainly just flirted with Nikki. And she flirted back. Kat stamped down her irritation. This wasn't the time to be flirting and trading life stories, not when Ethan and Jason were still back there somewhere and several people had died. But it was also not the time to cause dissention so Kat bit her tongue and comforted Grace, who was still crying.
She took the brush and let Nikki hold Grace long enough to brush her own hair. Grace didn't have much but Kat gave a little brush to the patch of golden hair she did have. Grace sucked her thumb and Kat allowed it because it kept her from screaming.

When Nikki headed off yet again, after kissing a man she had apparently just met, Kat mumbled under her breath. "We should be looking for Ethan and Jason."
Since she couldn't trust Grace to not scream her head off if she tried to go off and find them herself, Kat resigned herself to getting out of the truck and sitting in the grass. Grace was already standing, with help, and was trying to take a step. But she didn't have control or balance yet so she ended up on her bottom. But she just tried to get up again. Her baby girl was stubborn alright. Kat wondered which parent she had gotten that from.

The dog, which they still had to name, as sitting nearby watching. His ears were facing forward and his whole body was alert, listening for any signs of disturbance around them. Apparently he had accepted Grace as the pup of this new pack of his and as such she needed to be guarded carefully.
Work has been so crazy I finally got a few minutes to get on and post before going to bed before working another 12 hours tomorrow. I'm sorry I've been so slow to post. I'm hoping things will slow down a bit and I'll be on more.
Kat's head snapped up when Nikki jumped out of the truck. "Ethan... He was supposed to be following us!"
Damn men and their hero complexes! "Ethan I swear to God if you get killed..."
Kat had no choice but to trust Nikki to go after Ethan and Jason since she couldn't leave Grace. The dog, whatever his name was, growled under his breath at the horde behind them. The undead had no reason to come after them unless they gave them a reason...

The dog started barking viciously as a car nearly flattened Nikki. Grace had wrapped her arms around the dog's leg and screamed in panic. Kat swore loudly. This was called 'a reason'. Ding, Ding, Ding! Dinner time for all undead! Right this way!
Predictably several of the horde, about twelve or so that Kat could count, turned their way. Kat banged on the back window before opening it. "We can't get too far ahead of Ethan and Jason! And Nikki is back there now!"
The truck swerved back and went in a large circle, running over walkers and smashing their heads under the tires. At least they could take out a few. One or two managed to grab onto the side of the truck and tried to climb on, but Kat using her bag and the dog using it's teeth knocked them down again.

Grace hated the noise and shouting and the rough movements of the truck. Taking a deep breath she screamed the loudest scream her little lungs could muster, large tears rolling from her eyes. She reached here arms up for someone, anyone, to hold her and make all of the bad things stop.
@josephb
okay got it. Thank you. working on a post now. Gracie gonna be screaming for Daddy. Well not really since she doesn't really understand who he is yet, but you know what I mean.
I am going to guess that the "Tex" that Nikki told Kat to stay with is an NPC...? Either way I'mma bout to use him so if he belongs to anyone I'm sorry I will edit if I move anyone's character without their permission.
A girl and a dog joined them in the truck bed. Grace was full of crying now and working her way up to screaming. Distraction needed and fast.
"Look Gracie, puppy," Kat said, turning the baby towards the dog. Thankfully large furry things seemed to work just as well as small furry stuffed animals. The crying dialed back to whimpering as Grace stared at the dog, her little hands reaching out to grasp at it's ears. The dog was well behaved it seemed, allowing the baby to touch it's ears gently and the fur on it's neck. It even sniffed at the small human experimentally.

The girl was crying. Kat's newly found motherly instincts kicked it, even though the girl was not much younger than her if she wasn't the same age.
"Hey, you wanna hold Grace?" Kat asked, relenting enough in her overprotective tendencies to allow the presence of her child to calm the woman. For some reason holding a baby soothed some people. Probably their cuteness. "I'm Kathryn, but everyone calls... or did call me Kat. This is Grace. I don't think I got your name."

By that point they were heading down the road away from the yelling and fighting. Distraction was the name of the game now and not just for Grace.
@Wick HE can't stop me from using the dog anyway and I am going to.
So since the person who created the dog quit before their recent post I vote we ignore that blatant attempt at being just plain mean and petty and keep the dog with us. @Wick
