'Misthophoroi' - A Sci-Fi Mercenary RP

@Jbcool Yeah, it seems so. All that I'm trying to do now is to synchronize my page number with yours. After I achieve that I will instantly remove any thing you dislike, be it metal skin or tail blow torch. Most of the things I've put there are pure fluff. We may never see the princess or his sister. I mentioned his quest and things like that only to give my character some beef, to flesh him out so he doesn't look like a simple pawn in the greater game. But he always finishes the given mission and then recruits new members that were part of the same mission as him. So for the mission they will be only used for that mission. So for the mission/missions that are given he will be totally dedicated to finish it, to stay true to his reputation and whatnot. I wasn't even trying to start my own quest, just part of the bio and it is something which I find interesting to think about. Knowing that the current mission is part of something bigger, still pure fluff but the thought makes it better for me.

He does his job because it is what he is best at, fighting. And being a born fighter and talented as he is, he makes quite the profit out of it. And his people are a warrior race, they won't avoid a battle if faced with it. It is considered a shame for them to live a cowards life. And as I mentioned before, it is his main source of income. The main reason he does this high risk high reward jobs is to gain money. How he uses these earnings is just fluff.

Assassin =/= ninja. They are killers, as long as they fulfill their contract and kill someone, detected or not the job is accomplished.

I apologize for not mentioning most of the stuff. I have it pretty well fleshed out atm but been joining different Rps as crazy and am juggling between many settings. Apologies again. And once more, if after we come at the same page, you dislike anything just tell me and I'll change it.

Dark energy is gonna be my go to energy to justify how darkness developed a will and has those powers. It's identity and properties aren't identified yet so I believe I can give multiple unexplainable effects.

@SleepingSilence I have and it was interesting indeed, with all the political maneuvers that the main protagonist performed...and the crazy amount of glass re positioning. How it ended again? Moon aliens were behind all of it? XDDD

But that is focused more on the logical aspect, the emotional aspect is felt way stronger in anime if they can convey it properly.
Like Hai to Gensou no Grimgar which is practically a better and superbly more captivating version of what SAO was attempting to reach.

Darkness uses dark energy to project it's will on the physical realm. Is that what you were asking?

@Meta Basically, the darkness is the body and it's will is a point of blood. The blood can move freely through the body, carrying that special point of blood with it, but only muster the body part which is directly in contact with that point. So i can basically use it as a freeway through the dimensions and such but only harness the power of the surrounding darkness.

The way I phrased it, I only had in mind transportation and way of movement through dimensions. Maybe I shall word it differently?

Well the main gist of it, seeing as he is darkness incarnate, he is Darkness, where ever that absence of light may be, he is there. He is the will of Darkness, an extension of it and as so anywhere there is darkness there he is. Absence of light = him where ever that may be, in any dimension where light is absent, even in some small parts. So basically he is just the concentrated will of Darkness. If it chooses so he can be focused on another part of the whole and reappear there.

And I expected every living being to have a projection of their spirit/soul on some parallel realm to the physical one. What happens to said creature when it leaves its physical dimension to a dimension without a parallel spiritual realm? Can people and things live without their soul?

My Heart is on the Throne

So just wanna put this out here. I will have owner ship over a massive desert that is located in the middle of the continent and takes a good chunk of it. It is compromised of 2 layers of defenses. 5 citadels on the outskirt, 3 on the inner region and the main one, the castle of the city is located at the very center. The 3 citadels on the inner region are all connected to the main castle with multiple underground routes which expand to open underground areas where different trade and what not is performed. The castle itself is mostly located underground. And to pass from one side of the desert to the next, the fastest way is to pass right through the dessert. Passing around it would increase the travel time exponentially.

I swear I will not abuse this monopoly of the main road and you are all free to pah..ahem..pass without over charged fees and -oh boy.


But seriously now, it just seems aesthetically pleasing to me to have this desert and the citadels. No ulterior motives on gaining the upper hand. This isn't even a NRP.

@Meta Hmm, well I'll go to my back up power theory explanation plan. He has a pocket dimension which is connected to every other dimension and universe. His powers come from this dimension. Dimension of Darkness... That is a higher dimension so theoretically he is able to connect to any lower dimension as for say, the 3D one.

@Meta... do we, right now, have a scientific explanation of spirits? The first part, where he engulfs someone's spirit with darkness to also disable their body is just that, power over the spirit realm.
Now when he comes to the physical plane, he can summon energies from the spirit realm to the physical one, energies which imitate a black hole but only working on energy and not affecting physical matter.
