Why are people looking for gender specific RPers..?

For myself, it's a simple, selfish, and stupid reason. I like romantic plots when I do 1x1s, so long as there's still plot. I tend to get heavily invested in my characters emotionally, and it tends to bleed out a little toward the RPer I'm working with, even though it's not intentional.

But if I'm RPing with another male, when they're RPing a female character...

Yeah, that just would get weird.

Plus, I'm looking for someone to socialize with as much as I am someone to RP with, and I already have enough male friends. >_____>

Fantastic Romance plot (Seeking F)

So this is just an idea I've been tossing over, and want to start on it before I start back at school in three weeks. Anyway, here's the rough:

The idea is a story based on a nonspecific fantasy setting. The two characters would be members of two species (human and elf is the idea I've been tossing around) that have been at odds for centuries. An event of major consequence to both races forces the two to travel together. The idea is that they are overcoming racism and prejudices to see each other as people that they care for greatly.

So looking for a female writing partner to contribute to that, both in the character and story development sense.

Erm, just PM me if interested. I'm planning on running the RP offsite, as not to cause any trouble, so yeah.

As he reached the exit door, he turned about. "Now then, you've all made appointments with your advisers, they will be able to help you figure out which courses you're going to take. For the time being, I must remind you all that you are not to mention what you have seen here today to any of the other students at the university." With that, the man left.

Ethan blinked. "Huh, well that was weird," he mumbled. Having finally gotten the hint, though, he shrugged and walked up to Ramon on the stage. "Man, you sure look red!" He laughed. "Must've been real embarrassing for you to have that kind of response... Still, Old man seems real tough, huh? Sounds like he's older than he looks too... This whole place is crazy."
