The sprawling metropolis of Xenon truly was a paradise. It was a safe haven from the hordes of monsters that inhabited many of the other parts of the island, thanks to the tireless efforts of the city guard and the Hunters, and there was never any risk of going hungry, thanks to the farmers and breeders of Miris, who provide a steady supply of wholesome meats and vegetables. The people even have plenty of entertainment to keep them from getting bored with their lives. Truly a paradise.

And still, nothing is perfect. Xenon's Omega district often finds itself besieged by a group known as Barke, and there are the ever present rumors of a dark underbelly to the city. That is also compounded with the fact that the industrial district of Gamma is filled with innumerable thieves and homeless, some can be led to wonder if groups like Barke are correct when they say that Xenon's government is corrupt.

Of course, that really made no difference to Red as he got up that morning. It was Friday, which meant he was going there whether he wanted to or not. He dressed himself in the loose shirt he wore every Friday, as well as a pair of comfortable cargo pants, then went outside, where a few others from the farm were already working on filling up the wagon that he would be taking to the city. He sighed, not understanding why he was the one who had to go down across the straight. The ferry always made him sick.

He decided to get away for a little bit, heading for the nearby Chocobo Ranch while he had the time. He'd have rung the bell if he'd had half a chance at all, but he was immediately accosted by one of the farm's friendlier residents, a red chocobo by the name of Comet. "Woah, easy, easy!" He exclaimed while the bird attempted to say hello by walking all over him. "Can you give me some air here?" He begged. "I don't have a lot of time, you know!?"

Second, we have a three post rule in this RP, meaning once you post, at least 3 users must post between you before you may post again. In the IC, anyway. OOC is fair game.

On collaborative posting: I have no issues with doing in game chat sessions, but they MUST include everyone in the vicinity in which they take place. Flashbacks are always okay. If 4 people are in a room and 3 decide to start fighting a dragon, the 4th person cannot be left out.

History: Annabel was born in Miris to a long line of Chocobo breeders. People would say the Ro'ni family had chocobo blood coursing through their veins. That didn't exclude Annabel. She took to caring for chocobo faster than bamboo could grow. Even her family considered her a prodigy.
After her parents died when she was 16, it was up to Annabel to take on the responsibilities of not only raising chocobo, but of raising her baby sister Elizabeth. Elizabeth doesn't take to caring for the birds as well as Annabel did and spends most of her time causing trouble.
Usually growing her own Gysahl greens, Annabel sometimes purchases them from other farms when her stock runs low or her own crop fails.

History: Born and raised in Alpha, she was taught by her father how to shoot a crossbow. Her mom died when she was very young. her dad was all she really had, so it was hard when he expressed his with for her to leave, start her own story and live her own life. Though he did have a point; It will be an adventure.

History: Mal was born in Alpha and still lives there to this day. When he was a child, his older cousin was killed by a monster that had snuck into the city. Ever since then he has hated them with a passion, working for the city as a monster hunter, protecting others from the creatures.

Fuyuto is a quiet, yet bubbly, person who supports his comrades in the shadows. He prefers to only speak when necessary, but is very friendly and kind. Although he often tries to appear a little intimidating and cool, he actually is a little clumsy from time to time. Fuyuto is embarrassed by this, and always attempts to make it look like he meant it.
History:
Fuyuto is from Miris, the farming village. He was left alone to live with his grandfather ever since he could remember. His grandfather had told him about his parents dying from an unknown illness. However, he was happy in Miris. He helped the other farms, who would give them some of their produce to bring home. His grandfather was one of the wiseman of Miris. He had many stories to tell, including those of Espers. Fuyuto was inspired to be a legend, and sort for adventure. By the time he had turned 16, he decided he would leave his village and went to live on his own in the lower class of Alpha, to work to become enlisted in the army.

Personality: Ruthless and calculating, Sara favours a direct approach to her problems and doesn't let insults slide. If you cross her, you will know about it. This hard exterior is difficult to break, and it might seem to some that she is indeed impossible to stop once she is determined, but her anger can turn into impatience and fault if it accumulates. While she can be ferocious when angry, she can also be more predictable and rash. Her patience varies, so whether it becomes a weakness can depend on the context. She tends to stick with her principles over a greater plan if they were to clash. Being used to treating others with sterness has made it difficult for her to relax around most people and take in good humour, however this doesn't stop her developing emotional attachment.
History: Sara is a strong woman raised amongst a middle class soldier family in Alpha. She had developed a strong belief of protecting the commons and bringing justice to those that would abuse their power and shirk their responsibilities. Such beliefs made her well suited for the vocation of a policewoman. A commanding presence and a no-nonsense attitude brought her to various areas of work trying to keep the parts of Gamma district safe. A job impossible to fathom by any one person, but improbable to succeed without her. Her skill with her weapon of choice has given her the title of 'Moon Lady' amongst the Gamma district, though this title carries more fear than admiration behind it. Other, more profane variants of her title are more common with the criminals of the district.

Personality: Tyme is a closed off individual, typically keeping silent and refusing to talk to those around him, though he does have a very strong sense of justice. He is also very distrusting of those who approach him, often expecting them to harm him in some way.
History: Tyme grew up in the Alpha district with his parents and younger sister, though they were of the lower class. Tyme's parents were barely able to get by, often giving up eating so Tyme and his sister could. Then the day came when there was an accident in the Industrial district where both of his parents worked, his parents were involved and never made it out alive, thus orphaning Tyme and his sister. With no money coming in, and no known living relatives, the two were kicked to the street. As the years went by, Tyme began to teach himself how to use a sword, while his sister learned the ways of archery. When the two got older, they eventually started to hire themselves out to people for jobs, earning a living that way. After saving up enough money, Tyme's sister took some of it and bought a ring and engraving tools, spending all her free time between jobs etching something into the ring. On Tyme's eighteenth birthday, she gave it to him, the ring finally finished. The design was that of a lion leaping through flames, it was the best gift he could've gotten from her...and it would also be the last.
Three days later, there was a large commotion, a crowd was gathering around a massive fallen tree. When Tyme approached, all he could see was his sister pinned under it, dying. Tyme stayed with his sister, not wanting her to die, though that was impossible. He remained there with her, even after the crowd had dispersed, refusing to move even for the guards. He was in shock, his sister was dead, he was the last one left of his family. Eventually Tyme left his sister, unable to think clearly, unaware that he was packing up all his belongings, including his sister's etching tools. He walked for hours, finally coming to his senses and looking around, finding he was lost. It wasn't long before someone noticed him, and after a lengthy talk, the person decided to take him in and teach him how to use a gunblade. Now, at twenty-five, he has completed his training and is ready to set out into the world once more. However, he doesn't know what lies before him, the path he will have to walk down. The destiny that awaits him.

Appearance:
Personality: Laecora is a fairly quiet woman when you first meet her, however she is also a very kind and caring soul. Many of the families in her neighborhood in Alpha go to her when they are in need. She has a good attention to detail and loves to take care of others, both physically and mentally. Having grown up in Gamma, she does also possess some minor martial ability which she learned in order to defend herself.
History: Originally from Gamma, there was a factory fire in the middle of the night that caused said nearby factory to collapse, crushing a handful of small homes in the area. Laecora lost her family to this fire, only escaping she had been working a late night shift elsewhere to help support her mother and father in raising her little brother. Afterwards, she was taken in by friends of her parents in Gamma as she found work in Omega as a paper pusher thanks to her outwardly quiet demeanor and attention to detail. Eventually, she saved up enough to move into her own home in the lower-class areas of Alpha and is living out her days there for now.
