Blue Demon || Female || Older || Ace

I go by Blue, Demon or BD. Or even Hey You if it's clear enough that you're talking to me. XD I prefer Blue or Blue Demon. And no, I didn't choose "Blue" because I'm sad. It's my favorite color. (And now you know.)

I'll be home this afternoon, so expect to hear from me then!

Considering I'm at work still, no rush on my end.
@ayzrulesI'm glad you didn't ask me anymore because my answer would have been: I don't know ><! (I'm new to this) :D

@ShanksI've just finished the first act of King John. I googled the summary. Now I'm going to go back and re-read it. However I'm now pondering if I want my own book, so I can scribble notes in the margins. :|

I work way less now that I'm out of school. Being a secretary take little thought for me. Set hours and I never have to take my work home with me. The only draw back is sheer boredom.
You had me at Shadowrun.

So interested. :)

High school was miserable. I enjoyed Uni a lot better. It challenged be academically and the people who were in the classes didn't hold that much drama.

I haven't read any. I think we had to read Tempest back in HS (But I didn't...) I want to start this weekend with Henry IV, I think it is. The first historical play. I have no interest in his non-historical plays at the moment.
@XLegs@ayzrulesYou both make me so happy that I'm not in school anymore. *wipes brow* Thank goodness I got that Degree!

I just recently got into Shakespeare. I've moved on from Greek Epics (Read as: Iliad & Odyssey) and Arthurian tales. So this is really the first time (apart from grade school) that I'm reading his plays. My friend, who is a complete history buff, had me watch the Hollow Crown versions and they got me hooked. Thankfully my mother had the complete set I can snap from her and devour. But right now I'm only interested in his historical plays.
I'm doing good. Just waiting for the weekend so I can curl up with my book of Shakespeare and ignore the rain. :)
Space, the final frontier.

Well, I see the universe as something we don't understand. We look out at it, but every time we can see something new. Do I think there are other habitable planets? Yes. Do I believe there's life on said habitable planets? Yes. I believe that 100%. There are some amazing studies being done at NASA currently. They're finding other planets that could support life within our solar system. And they're finding more everyday. They're also weeding out planets that aren't giving off the right lightwaves (those that tell us what the planet's composition is).

But life isn't the norm as far as we can tell. This article from BBC explains just how many freakish events had to happen in order for Earth to be what it is today. Since we live on this planet and have never been off of it (other than the quick jaunt to the moon), it's hard to realize just how special it is.

Other than life as we know it, there are hundreds more things for us to learn outside in the universe. We don't know what black holes are. We have no idea why the universe is still expanding. And it's getting faster every second. And we have no idea why.

Or how about Quantum entanglement. That's some trippy stuff. I know this is weird to say, but as amateur astronomer (we're only called that because we don't have degrees) we learn how to look at space outside of ourselves as a context. Human beings only came into the universe so very recently. We're just one piece in a giant puzzle. We need to keep striving for the big picture and to not limit ourselves.

So I guess I see the universe as amazing potential.
Tar Valon, The White Tower

Anything for the White Tower Sister Galliana and Sister Surin, I accept this task.

Galliana and Surin nodded their heads. The two then exchanged a look.

"Sister." Galliana said turning back to Aranya. "You must make preparations to leave before the week is over. It's imperative you arrive in Al'Cair'rahienallen quickly."

"Which," Surin picked up. "Means you must decide soon if you'll take a warder before you leave." She nodded to Galliana and rose. "I wish you fair winds." With those words she swept gracefully out of the room. Her warder following right on her heels.

Galliana poured herself a new cup of tea. "If you need anything for your journey and you cannot get it on your own, ask for me and I will see to it." The dismissal was obvious.

Almoren, Al'cair'rahienallen, Palace of the High Seat

Lady Amarr didn't pace. Instead she lounged on one of the plush sofas in her solar. Next to her General Isede did pace. His heavy boots clomped on her fine marble floors. Whenever he looked at her she frowned. The others in the room were two men from minor houses. Lords Farim and Bashere. Lord Morin'staal had taken to standing by the door. The other adviser had taken to rummaging through her late husband's liquor cabinet.

"Oh, do be seated, Joune." Sora snapped, losing patience. "It's the exact same as last time you looked five minutes ago."

The aging adviser looked up, chastised. "Sorry, M'lady." He grabbed the nearest bottle and retreated to his seat. His wife patted his knee. Lady Kate wasn't the brightest and tended to follow her husband like a lost puppy.

"How long are we to wait?" Lord Farim muttered as Joune situated himself.

Lady Amarr switched her disapproving glare to the offending lord. He shrunk a little, but remained defiant.

"You said he'd be here. And with him all this," He gestured around the room, "Will be more than talk."

Sora had Farim pegged since day one. He was greedy and stupid and had delusions of grandeur. But he had men who would follow him. And those men she needed. Almoran needed a strong leader. Farim believed it was him. More fool him for it.

"Peace." Sora placated. "He'll be here. I promised you did I not?" She smiled, a smile that made most men quiver at the knees. For while though she was older, she was still beautiful. She used that beauty for all it was worth. "And I always keep my promises."

Farim licked his lips. But before he could reply, the doors to Sora's Solar burst open.
So, I've been thinking I might want to GM another group. This thread is for tentative interest. I'm not going to expand the world unless I get enough people liking the idea. Also, I will want a Co-GM. :) That way the story moves on even if something unexpected happens in RL. Just so you know. If I get about 2 people expressing interest, I'll fill this in more.

General Plot:
Six years from now a Terrorist organization, H.O.D. will threaten the world with a plague. They want 6 Billion dollars in return for not releasing the plague which they call The Walking Death. The world refuses and for a while nothing happens and the event is forgotten. Then people start getting sick. Some scientists a liken the plague stricken to Zombies. (Yes, this is a zombie apocalypse story.) No one is immune. Some just took longer to get sick than others. The young and the old succumb first. The youthful and healthy hold out. For two years the Human race struggles to survive and find a cure. Then in a hospital a pregnant woman's child shows all the signs of being immune. The small town decides she needs to be transported to a bigger city that would have the equipment needed to "save the human race".

Setting:
Most people live in small, walled towns (about 1200 people). Some have electricity, some do not. Our particular town will have electricity and a hospital.
We will travel from our small community through cities and fields to their final destination.

Players:
I'm look for 3-5 people. Spots that are open are:
  • Pregnant Lady
  • Guards (2-4)
The guards would either be military or mercenary. They need to have some sort of training.
Once all spots are gone, I wont be accepting anymore people. More than 1 person can apply for the same spot. If that happens I'll confer with the masses and then decide which character to pick. Everyone is limited to 1 character at the moment.

Requirements:
High-Casual to Advanced Writing/ Character Development.

If there's interest I'll flesh out the interest check. (EDIT: Also added in the general plot direction... because apparently I forgot that. Haha)
