Honestly he got better characterization with Grayson as Batman. When Bruce came back it did go back to "Damien's the bestest because he's Bruce's TRUE son". His cameo in Grayson was heartwarming.

Honestly Damian and Dick are my favourite Bat Pairing with Damian being my favourite Robin and Dick being my favourite member of the Batfamily.

Damien grew on me when I was reading Batman and Robin v2 with Grayson as Bats. I'm honestly thinking about giving Robin: Son of Batman a try.

And Tim sucks. I cannot read Teen Titans because of him. :|
