I go by Blue, Demon or BD. Or even Hey You if it's clear enough that you're talking to me. XD I prefer Blue or Blue Demon. And no, I didn't choose "Blue" because I'm sad. It's my favorite color. (And now you know.)

1. Don't Godmode. 2. Don't be a jerk 3. Please post all CSs in the OOC until they're accepted. 4. This is Casual/Advanced. No one-lines, even one paragraph posts will be highly frowned upon. 5. No killing Player Characters without permission. 6. I'm the sole GM, my word is final. 7. Lastly, just be cool and have fun.
The Set Up: Despite it being late March, Eagle Rock, is still in the clutches of winter. Which isn't terribly unusual for this town. But it is strange. Snow is still deep, and the temperature rarely reaches the seventies. School, however continues no matter what. The first day of University is quickly approaching.
In Chicago Harry Dresden, Wizard, gets a call from a paranetter who lives in Eagle Rock. She alerts him to a strange and worrying activity at Yellowstone. What makes it so worrying is that the national park is right over a very powerful ley line.
The closest entrance to Eagle rock is the West Enterence. It's 2-3 hours away by car (depending on if you speed or not). There are no buses that run to Yellowstone from Eagle rock.
Apart from being a Nation Park Yellowstone is special because it is over a very power ley line nexus. (Where more than one ley line converges)
Eagle Rock is a small college town. It is characterized by the old fashioned feel to it. There's a water tower, a drive in theater, a massive theater with a bowling alley and game room, and of course, the university itself. Eagle rock gets quite a few tourists in from other countries during the tourist season.
Around the town is a lot of farm land. The areas of land that haven't been worked are a mixture of sage brush a quasi-desert. There are sand dunes north of town, about a 30 minute drive. There are also shallow lakes that periodically dot the landscape. Most of them are close to the sand dunes.
Notable places:will expand as necessary. Eagle Rock University Serpent River (A major river that runs just a little outside of town)
Acceptable characters: I'm only looking for original characters. So Harry, Karen, Thomas, etc are not going to be accepted. Ideally, I'd love for everyone to be college students. But they don't have to be. Just as long as they have a good reason to be in Eagle Rock.
One thing to keep in mind, is the stronger your character the less "free" will they have. EG Fey will always act to their nature. Vampires will need to feed, Weres might lose control, etc. The people with the most free will are vanilla mortals.
You cannot play: Angels/ Demons (Possession is iffy. PM me if you really want this), Dragons, Fomor, Ghouls, Outsiders, Gods, Fey Rulers, I think you get the point. If you're unsure, ask me.
OK characters: Faith based, Vanilla (no powers), Wizards/ Practitioners, Vampires (Depending on which court. Red's out), Minor Fey, Shapeshifters (includes Weres), Valkyries, etc.
Magic: You can play wizards. But I wont take too many of them. If everyone applies to be a wizard, I'll only take the 2 best, maximum. So please keep this in mind when brainstorming your character. Also, I will be exceptionally critical about Wizards and their magic build. If I deam you OP, I will make you re-do it.
If you need resources to help you with your magic, here are a bunch of links. Wiki Magic in DFRPG, Part One; Two; Three; Four; Five; and Six*Since I do run a DFRPG, I pull a lot from the tabletop, just because it's easy for me. But I'm not running this as a table top. You wont have to keep track of numbers, stats or such. But these are some very good resources if you're not sure how to create a balanced magic user. Supernatural Powers Ideas
Side notes: I will custom tailor the plot to each character. If you have a really good idea of why your character might be in Eagle Rock, but you're not sure if it fits into the plot? No worries, shoot me a PM. With my friends, I was running three different quests all at the same time to make sure everyone was included and was able to do their own little thing. And there was never a dull moment.
Good v. Evil: I'm not taking an overtly evil people. However it is quite possible over the course of the RP that you can get swayed to their side. Morally ambiguous people are also acceptable.
Powers: (Magic, Vampire Skills, etc)(Make sure to include both strengths and weaknesses. EG. Vampires are super strong, but have to feed. Fire < Water, you get the idea)
Other: (Have a magical item (no Bobs accepted) or something else not mentioned? Put it here)
RP Type: GM Driven/Sandbox. I've given you the plot and will react according to each player's actions. But it's still the player's decision what they will do. Will they investigate something or will they ignore it completely to do something else?
I've run this campaign in my Dresden Files tabletop group. And you cannot possibly mess up anything. I've had them drop a flaming tree on a house, blow up a car, incapacitate the "Big Boss" within seconds (Which is actually a very amusing story) and set a bathroom (on campus) on fire. In general, most everything goes.
Ebenezer didn't even blink as the cold woman glared at him. Imp, however, hissed low. A barely audible sound. It truly didn't like the woman at all. When she yielded the podium to a harried looking man, Joshua, Imp loosened it's grip. The poor fool stuttered and kept looking to others to reassurance that he was doing okay. Ebenezer dismissed him as not a danger. The fool was just another cog in the demon machine. Not someone to be overly worried about.
Of course even small sharks were dangerous in large enough quantities. This group might not have any individual thinkers, but pack mentality was just as dangerous. Blind devotion was hazardous to everyone's health.
When the meeting ended Ebenezer climbed to his feet. His knees gave a small pop as he did so. Sitting in one place never sat well with him. He was made for movement. The demonologist stretched his arms towards the ceiling. The dislodged Imp gave a hiss and landed on the floor. Long claws made a distinctive sound as they hit the floor. There was a small skittering sound as Imp scurried off to go investigate something. Ebenezer wasn't worried Imp would wander too far. Imp valued it's life too much for that.
When the two women swept past them he dropped his gaze down their bodies. They were both fine looking women. And just to piss them off he smiled.
The Far, Far Past S.H.I.E.L.D. HQ; Washington D.C.
The silence was nearly killing Clint as Coulson and him had a stare down. Clint wasn't going to crack first. No way. As if sensing his determination, Coulson gave an exaggerated sigh. He grabbed the file Fury had pushed at Clint and flipped it open, twisting it so Clint could see it.
"This is Black Widow. She also goes by Tatiana Sokolova, Alion Vans, Natasha Romanoff, Marya Konn, Irina Zlataryova and Audrey. And no, we don't know if any of those names are her real one. She's a Russian Assassin. She's linked mostly to the KGB." Coulson flipped the file from the photo of an attractive Redhead woman. "She's killed many people SHIELD would have rathered stayed alive. She poses a very real threat to national security."
Clint watched as Coulson flipped through photos of Black Widow's confirmed kills. He pressed his lips together. "So you want to kill her first. If that it?"
Coulson raised an eyebrow. Clint's you vs. we wasn't missed. "Yes. We've received good intel that she's assigned to kill someone in Madripoor. You will find out who, and stop her."
"And if I refuse?" Clint asked casually, even though the question was anything but.
"You push the rules Clint. You don't follow orders and you're a pain in the ass of not only SHEILD but the WSA." Coulson looked Clint steadily in the eyes. "But I think you're a damn fine agent, even Fury agrees. He wouldn't have recruited you if he didn't." Coulson stood up from the table. "I think it's about time you stop punishing yourself."
Clint stared at the empty seat even as the door swung closed. After a long while he pulled the file closer and began to read.
The Present A dirty motel; Libson, Portugal
“You’ve gone soft,”
Clint's eyes were wide even before the words left her mouth. His hands flew to his chest, something he did often when offended. "I'm not soft!" He protested. "I am super freaking awesome." When Nat continued on to some of Clint's other ramblings, he gave himself a mental pat on the back. Her dour mood from earlier had been slightly eased. It would never go away, but Clint knew how to make her forget, if only for a while.
Clint's eyes lit up at Natasha's suggestion of shirt. "Or even, 'My friends went to Portugal and all I got was this lousy t-shirt.'"
The archer snickered at his own joke. The headset on was a gentle murmur in the back ground. "But you know what would really be awesome?" Clint didn't wait for Nat to guess, instead he just plowed right on with nary a breath. "When I was trailing ---"
Clint was on his feet with his hand pulling his gun. "Damn it!" Clint hissed as gun fire still echoed in his ears from the headset. Clint didn't often use a gun, but ever since they hit the stage in Europe he'd become widely known. After Manhattan he had been able to still fly under the radar in a lot of circles. But now? Everyone recognized his distinctive style. Which unfortunately meant he had been using normal weapons up to this point, guns and knives. He did bring his bow, but that was only for worst case scenario.
"Someone's shooting up Yuri's."
Clint shoved said gun back in it's holster, ripped off the head set and made a b-line for his shoes. He didn't check to see if Natasha was coming, he knew she was. So even after he shoved his feet into his shoes, grabbed his 'go bag' and the rental cars keys, he knew she was ready.
Posting speed is largely determined by the group. Though I cannot imagine that it'll move so quickly that posting 3-4 times a week would still see you falling behind.
As for speed of me getting this started... Right now I don't think we have enough people. Usually when the thread goes up I loose at least 2 people. With such a small group; we need everyone we can get.
