Current Sorry for my lack of posts lately. I've just... been struggling to get the energy to write something up. I'm trying some new meds through so hopefully that will change soon.

"Would you kindly continue your wheezing elsewhere? You're rather distracting." A somewhat distracted, monotone voice asked the dark mage that was sitting down at the fire, appearing to be trying to work out if his lungs were attempting to kill him from the sounds of the wheezing.

Manus hadn't bothered to look up from the book he was writing in from his position at the flap of his tent, a fair enough distance from the fire pit that almost any other member of the company would have ignored the physically exhausted mage. Those who looked closely would notice that Manus wasn't actually writing in his book, as if the wheezing of the nearby human being was physically preventing him from doing so. Considering how the noise was grating across Manus's nerves like a saw blade that was clearly the case.
Torrential and Star Dancer are adorable together.
"A couple of reasons." Torrential answered back, rolling his shoulders a little and readjusting his wing a little as that it was comfortably wrapped around Star Dancer. "For starters, I gave her my blessing because at her core Applejack is and always has been a farmer. Almost all of the Apple family have been and frankly I'm disappointed that I didn't get a chance to have a word with Granny Smith while I was in Appleloosa. Between her, Applejack and Big Mac Sweet Apple Acres was one of the greatest farms I've ever seen and easily the best apple farm to ever exist. One of my greatest regrets is that I will never get the chance to walk through Sweet Apple Acres during its prime. I do have plans to go there in pilgrimage to see what is left after the flood but after two decades abandoned and in ruin it just isn't the same."

"I also did it to remind of her of origins. Two decades away from the farm and dealing with the war had started to erode her relationship with the earth and I sort to remind her of it so she did not repeat the mistakes of the original Earthborn." Exactly what he meant by that, Torrential did not say. However, he did seem to tighten the wing around Star Dancer a little more as he asked "Out of interest, why did you want to seek me out in the first place? Oh, I know that Silver wanting me to get her letter might have had something to do with it, but as easily distracted as she might be, she wouldn't have sent just anyone to track me down."
So the answer is both.
Nodding his head to Lethe polite, Magus simply said "If you need me, just ask." before wandering over towards the 'entrance' to the Shadow Temple.

Finding himself a steady looking surface to lean against (In this case, an old tombstone) the robed and hooded Magus sat down and rested against it, making himself comfortable before simply relaxing himself and taking the chance to have a bit of rest. Much like a puppet with its strings cut Magus didn't move in the slightest as he rested, being as still and seemingly lifeless as the one who was buried under the stone he was resting against.
Arcon, the reason you can't stand us is because we're family.

Just know that Torrential does love Arcon as a brother; He just doesn't like him. He doesn't like anything about him.
Alright, since Dawn isn't responding to me on Skype;

I'm sorry man. I didn't mean to imply anything or offend you in anyway. I have a habit of saying the wrong thing at the wrong time and the fact that its pretty much 4 am isn't doing my ability to have a good conversation any favors...

You're a good Rp'er and I really enjoy Rp'ing with you, even if RL does get in the way a little. I can afford to wait a few days for a good post... Not like I have anything else going on for me at the moment.
Today was a good day.

Sitting by himself near his tent, Manus the mage wrote in the book in front of him things that would set even the most brilliant of minds racing with new ideas... Or labeled completely insane and safely ignored by the majority. The line between genus and insanity was often blurred after all.

As was often the case, Manus paused in what he was writing on the forces that kept things on the ground as a new line of thought entered his head. Flipping ahead several pages in order to give him room to return to what he was writing later as he explored this new idea, Manus put ink to paper as he wrote down the inturding thought in order to get it out of his brain.

There are no such things as gods, nor transcendence. Only power. To become a god is merely to find that power.

Manus stared at what he had written. There were plenty of people out there that would consider such a sentence to be the foulest of heresy and would most likely try to have him killed for daring to challenge their beliefs... But Manus kept writing all the same.

For just about anything to be considered a god, all it requires are those willing to believe that it is a god and worship it as such. While the strong of both body and magic are often the targets of such worship, the cunning can also claim worship with some careful planning and a bit of luck. While such cults of personality tend to die out when the figure of devotion does, some manage to hang around after the death of their idol for a variety of reasons.

In total silence, Manus continued to write in his book rather innocently, blind to the world around him.
I'm sure Silver can get her hooves on a cake later. But no cake for Dawn until he finishes his post like a good boy.
Name: Manus
Race: Human
Sex: Male
Class: Mage
Gender Identity: Heterosexual Male
Age: 23
Height: 6.2 feet tall
Weight: 80 kilograms
Appearance:

Equipment:
Armor: His cloak which he seems to wear at almost all the time.
Weapons: Tomes of Fire, Wind and Lightning.
Other: A pretty standard but solid knife, various books that are either blank or continue some of his writings, a writing kit that is restocked whenever the opening presents itself, a portable homemade looking telescope.

Personality: Manus is friendly enough when talked to but more often then not he will keep to himself, thinking over things that are simply centuries, if not millennium ahead of his time. Manus is somewhat distant from his peers simply because any conversation that delves into what he is working on or thinking about results in him having to explain (IE, dumb down) concepts that are must likely completely alien to the listener. To his credit however Manus is more then willing to take the time to explain the strange thoughts running through his mind to those willing to listen; knowledge was meant to be shared after all.

In his free time, Manus likes to write down the formula and ideas that run rampant through his mind; the act of pinning them down to a page helping him not only work out some of the missing gaps, but also putting him somewhat at ease that if the worst should happen he would leave something behind for those who follow him to expand upon.

Likes/Dislikes: Manus likes educated discussion, educating others, spending some time alone to write down his thoughts and astronomy
Manus dislikes Drinking, awful rackets that disturb him when he is either writing or trying to sleep, those that stifle education, learning and the spreading of knowledge for ignorant and selfish reasons, the fact that he is slowly going insane.

Other: Hopes to one day start his own academy and take on students of his own so that he could have a lasting impact on the sciences... before he loses his mind.
