Current Sorry for my lack of posts lately. I've just... been struggling to get the energy to write something up. I'm trying some new meds through so hopefully that will change soon.

Felicia really needs to stop looking at the caramel apple for advice. The advice it gives is always a bad idea.
Magus listened to Lethe in complete silence, gears turning in his mind as he put together what he knew of the so called 'King of Darkness' (Part of him wanted to spit at the foolishness of those who were blinded by the light and afraid of it no longer being there).

Hearing the whispers of those he often passed by in his recent travels of suggestions that the hooded man was an agent of the disposed King of Darkness had spiked Magus's interest long before he had come to the graveyard he was currently standing in. A researcher of history by passion and profession, Magus had briefly ceased looking into the history of his own people to investigate local history for a time. It had been a very interesting tale, even if separating the truth from the tall tales and the legends had been a major chore.

While a lot of the legends were no doubt either made up or simply exaggerated over the years with the retelling, what parts he was willing to consider true painted a very haunting familiar tale of a remarkably powerful magic user who became completely consumed by his own power, unleashing it on those weaker than himself without care or restraint. There were rumors that the triforce played a role in the events of his rule, both while he reigned and in his dethroning. Magus had his theories on the matter...

Once Lethe had finished speaking and those gathered seemed to be arguing over wasted time and fairy cons, the hooded Magus with his unnervingly creaking movements was the first to move from his place and walked to stand by Lethe the fairy in support, everything about the man hidden by shadows. It was quite the strange contrast between Magus and Lethe, what with one being a creature of shadow and the other a creature of light . "I assume that all these years off the throne has done little to quench the desires and madness of the Insane King?" He asked her in his echoing voice that sounded like it was coming from further away than it should have been.
The question remains as to who Blueblood's distant grandparent was. Since Faust said that Blueblood was also Luna's nephew, the arrogant noble isn't the result of Luna and Crashing's union.

It's possible that Blueblood was a descendant of Torrential since over 52 generations and the intermingling of the three pony tribes it isn't a surprise that a unicorn was born into the bloodline. It's such a same that Blueblood is already dead, since their mutual hatred of the horned pig would have been a wonderful bonding experience for Torrential and his grand daughter in law Rarity.

Anyone else want to try and lay claim to Blueblood?

Considering that Theá has (most likely) attempted it more than a few times, I would say that an offspring between mortal and immortal is impossible. Granted, it may just be that the chance of success is infinitely small.

Since alicorns are somewhat based on the idea of greek gods, I don't really see a reason why they couldn't have children with each other or mortals. It was the kind of thing that happened all the time. The thing about demi gods is that despite having divine blood in them (And no doubt having some neat tricks to go with it) they are still mortal and thus grow old and die sooner or later. Add on that the abilities tend to get passed on by the bloodline (Even if they might grow weaker with each successive generation) and its quite possible for Thea to have a X to the power of Great grandchild around somewhere.

Now that I think about it, there is a cannon precedent for this theory in the form of the ex Prince Blueblood, Nephew of Princess Celestia. Considering how many years it has been since an alicorn other than Luna and Celestia has been to the mortal plane and working under the assumption that the benefits of divine blood start to wane over successive generations, it is completely possible that Prince Blueblood was an arrogantly proud descendant of one of our characters from a coupling hundreds, if not thousands of years ago.

To quote the grand Faust herself:

Lauren Faust stated that Celestia's nephew had no name in the show (before The Best Night Ever aired), and that he's the "great great great great great great great great great great great (and probably even more greats) nephew on Celestia's and Luna's mother's side, about 52 times removed, roughly speaking." He was originally a Duke, but was changed to a Prince because "someone in the approval process thought kids wouldn't know what a Duke is",[3] though the title of Duke would eventually be used for other ponies much later.
That reminds me...

What exactly is the rule on alicorn/mortal pony relations as far as offspring are concerned?

Can alicorns have children with mortal ponies and if so, are these children demi god like beings?
Hey Tai, I'm sorry if Torrential has sort of left the bulk of the Rp on your end of things.
For his part Torrential just remained where he was with a playful smile on his face that could have been taken as a sign that his words have been a friendly joke or that he was legitimately flirting with Star Dancer.

However, there did seem to be a subtle change happening to the alicorn. His coat and hat appeared to be melting as if they were made of colored ice, pooling and vanishing into his body like water soaking into skin. While Star Dancer and Snow Tail were busy disarming the latter, Torrential's coat and hat vanished as they were taken back into the being that created them in the first place. Torrential also appeared to be a few inches taller and just that little bit bigger than he had been before. As his passengers and companions both hopped onto his back, Torrential grinned a little as he gave his wings a few flaps in order to not only give them a bit of a warm up but also to adjust to the weight of the two ponies on his back. Turning his head, he simply answered Star with a "I suggest you hold on."

Once his passengers were firmly latched onto him Torrential launched himself skywards a fair distance before adjusting himself for flight and taking off in a north eastern direction. While not as fast as his sister Thea and nor as reckless as his sister Silver, the number of mortal ponies who could keep up (if not overtake) Torrential in flight could be counted on his hooves. Still, he wasn't moving at full speed; The ponies on his back were holding on physically and not properly secured enough for that sort of thing. He was however moving fast enough to get across the message that it was time to get out before the welcome was officially warn out.

Hey, I hate to do this but I'm having to pull out. I wish I could have told you guys without disappearing for almost a week, but I got in a bit of trouble at home and didn't have internet privileges for a while. I've kind of lost interest in anything to do with play-by-post RP and just haven't been able to push out any posts for anything, so I'm pulling out of all the RP's I'm currently in and stepping away for a while.

I doubt you'll see this if you're leaving the internet for a while, but take care. Just no that you'll be back... There is a reason it is called the 'Web'!
Well, you dang kids managed to wake Magus up with your yelling and your playing...
In the silence that no doubt followed the outburst of the skull kid and the darknut just before the general outrage that normally follows such statements, a something wooden creaked loudly.

Magus sighed breathlessly as he started to shift his body around, canceling his day time nap as the noise of the gathered group finally grew to great to ignore. Forcing himself back to his feet, the hooded figure turned its darkness covered gaze towards those gathered around the graveyard, inspecting those who had also seemed to have answered the call. There was no face to see, so facial expressions where impossible to tell and his tone of voice betrayed nothing in turn. "Either the goddesses have some divine plan for everyone gathered here that is so masterfully weaved together that the presence of all of us will make sense only in hind sight, or they are really, really despite and they are scraping together everything that has nothing better to do than answer their call. There is only one way to figure out which is which and that is to wait for Lethe the fairy to explain herself. While killing each other before she arrives would give me an answer to my question, I would rather hear what is happening in the big picture before the blood starts to fall. Does anyone have any issue with waiting?
