Current Sorry for my lack of posts lately. I've just... been struggling to get the energy to write something up. I'm trying some new meds through so hopefully that will change soon.

Ah I see... Either way that's kind of bad.

I will have to rework the character a bit...

The link you sent was helpful, but I admit that the guides are problematic for the character I had in mind.

Angron is not meant to be a likeable badass, or even trying to earn the parties respect. Angron is meant to be a somewhat deranged monster who's only redeeming feature is that he is really good at killing people (A skill that that a increasingly desperate Republic could use).

Then again, I can understand why, in a story about falling to darkness, having a character start off radiating darkness itself could be an issue.
I've just submitted a character if you'll have me and him...

Personally I think the Jedi might be a little unnerved by him... Oh well.
And finished the new post.
Blue Skies

The bells of the church of Blue Skies rang out to to announce to the world that a loving couple had been wed into eternal bliss under the eyes of the Goddesses.

Congratulations had been offered, various items had been thrown in celebration and the happy couple had departed shortly after the kiss that sealed their vows to spend the rest of existence by each others side. In fact, the newly wed couple had looked so cute and happy together laying beside the church's alter (The bride had nuzzled her head against the grooms neck and used him as a makeshift pillow) that Laughing Consort had deemed it an injustice to even think about parting them. Despite all the extra work that creating an Alicorn with them as the base would be, it was a task that Laughing and the rest of the wedding party was more then happy to take on.

However, that was not the only good news that would grace them this day. One of the Wedding Party members that had been sent out to check on how the party with the slaves and servants had gone before returning with a wide grin and a small Pegasus foal riding on his back. The foal was smiling widely, but his eyes appeared to be having a lot of trouble focusing on anything. The cultist announced loudly as he darted past his brothers and sisters who were busy taking care of and sorting through the rest of the guests "FATHER CONSORT, I'VE FOUND A CHOSEN!"

Laughing Consort paused in his work, carefully putting down the remains of the father of the bride before looking at the cultist carrying the foal. "Then what are you waiting for? Bring them here and go and fetch some water and food!" The child was quickly placed in front of Laughing Consort, several cultists including the one who had brought the child running off to gather what he had requested. With a sad smile on his face, Laughing knelt down to look the foal in his unfocused eyes before softly asking "Can you hear me?"

The child took a little while to respond to the fact that someone was talking to him at all. This wasn't that strange; All Chosen felt like they were underwater after their first encounter with Laughing's concoction because the senses had to readjust to being limited to the senses of a body after briefly being graced with so much more. The child slowly nodded his head, but didn't seem able to speak at the moment.

Laughing let out a small sigh before speaking again. "Do you remember much of the eternal party? Of meeting the pink hostess?" The child shook his head a little, Laughing reaching out to help steady the poor foal. "That's okay. Few remember right away. The shock of seeing so much and embracing so many new senses at once is an experience that needs some time to be filtered by our mortal shells. Do you want me to tell you what is happening?" The foal nodded his head, but it was clear that his unfocused state made such an act tricky. Dizziness sucked after all.

"Well my friend, I have some good news and some slightly-not-so-good-news-at-the-moment-but-it'll-turn-into-good-news-later." Laughing started, his smile and tone playful and friendly. "The good news is that your friends, family and almost all of the ponies in your town have been invited to join the greatest party their ever was. They have been freed of having to work or feel hunger pains and can now enjoy the fun and enticement that awaits them at the eternal party of the Laughing Mare. The slightly-not-so-good-news-at-the-moment-but-it'll-turn-into-good-news-later is that the Laughing Mare has chosen you to stay behind and help send out more invitations to her party. She has taken a good old look at you and seen something that told her that you were worthy of helping bring more ponies to her party. While that does mean you're going to have to miss out on the party itself for a while, when you're finally done your work you'll get the warmest and bigger welcome imaginable! And they'll make sure that a slice of cake will be put aside just for you. Now I know you don't know much about inviting ponies to such a grand party right now but don't worry. We'll take care of you..."

Old Ponyville

Lowering his head a little in order to better hear what Snow had to say to him, Torrential's face betrayed... regret. It was not an emotion that he allowed himself to feel often. However, with a small ruffling of feathers as he shifted his wings back into their proper place, the alicorn rose to his hooves before walking over towards the recently blinded mare. Sitting down next to her and wrapping one of his wings around her body, he carefully pulled her against him before leaning down and softly planting a kiss on her forehead.

"I'm sorry." He whispered softly before he started to nuzzle her gently. It wouldn't help heal her by any means but it would hopefully help make her feel better.
Blue Skies

In the town of Blue Skies, an even that had been months in the making was finally taking place.

Originally the wedding of Lucky Day and Calming Star was meant to be a small affair; Both unicorns belonged to upstanding and well liked families, but neither family really had the money to spend on a large wedding. That changed when by chance Bishop Consort and his followers had arrived in Blue Skies and heard about two ponies seeking to cement their union under the gaze of the goddesses. Bishop Consort had taken it as a sign from the goddesses that this wedding was to receive their blessing and whoa and behold if he wasn't a humble servant.

What had started off as a small and private wedding quickly grew as the Bishop and his followers poured more money and supplies into the wedding, quickly becoming a town wide event. Everyone had been invited; While the slave caste hadn't been allowed to attend to wedding or the after party, they had been allowed a half day off from their hard duties as well as access to fruit juice, wine and cake in order to toast and celebrate the happy occasion.

After the first toast to the newly wed couple, the Bishop had politely taken his leave in order to check up on a personal matter while the party carried on without him. In truth he had withdrawn to his own personal wagon, allowing himself the chance to be alone for a few hours to enjoy the company of his dearly beloved wife. He could still quite vividly remember the very birthday that he had proudly announced his engagement to his friends, family and in general just about every pony who had ever met him back in his home town. He still remembered the toast... how the wine had made him feel perfect bliss as his poison had done what he had designed it to do.

The only being that had the right to know his real name was his beloved Laughing Mare herself. Still despite his attempts to join her during his birthday party with everyone else who had known his real name, she had spared him and sent him back in order to help make others as happy as he made her. It was a duty the newly named Laughing Consort took very seriously.

She always liked it best when he sent her happy souls. They always put her in a good mood.

Torrential continued to sit for a little while, resting. With each passing minute, he appeared just that little bit healthier. That little bit stronger. However, for the moment he was simply going to wait and recover his strength. He trusted that Snow would find Star quickly enough and make sure she was alright. There were other ponies around, but until they acted against him and his own, he would treat them with the same mutual respect as any other.
Ah... It seems that you've filled up. No real point in finishing my application then. Sorry...
And Torrential is still amongst the land of the living.
It was quite clear from the difficultly that Torrential was having breathing and the pained expression on his face that he was not having a good day. Being hit by his own lightning strike had hurt like all hell; The fact that there had been a metal pole rammed through his lung at the time didn't exactly help matters and sure as hell didn't do him any favors. Still, despite the horrible condition he was in, his horn started to glow softly... somewhat weakly in fact. The pole that was still impaling him started to glow as well, slowly and with the odd pain filled jerk it started to be removed from his body. Still progress was slow... and a helping hoof wouldn't have been turned down in the slightest.

Snow's blue dress seemed to lose its solid form, melting into a blue liquid again before sliding back towards its creator. It seemed to pool around the wound caused by the pole, draining into the hole left behind as space was freed up, reforming its into the bits and pieces that were missing and repairing the damage that the impalement had done. By the time the pole was removed completely, the damage it had done was merely superficial and being undone with each passing second. Torrential still looked like he had gotten the absolute shit kicked out of him and that he wouldn't be moving all that fast for a while, but he seemed more alive as he forced himself into a proper sitting position, allowing him to look around much easier then before. Turning to look at Snow again after doing a quick look around for threats, he offered her a small smile as he simply said "Thank you. As the old saying goes what doesn't kill you can certainly make you wish that it did. Are you and Dancer alright?"
Work in Progress.

Nations Name: The Incorporated States of Everglow.
Flag:
Form of Government: Constitutional Empire
Describe the System: At the top of the Empire there is the Emperor or (More often then not) Empress. During their reign, the current ruler may take on as many or as few students as they deem fit in order to try and mold them to be the next ruler of the empire. Ever since the foundation of the empire it has always been a fundamental law that anyone from any tribe, clan or social position could be selected as a student of the current ruler, provided that they had traits that the current ruler deemed acceptable to have in their heir.

Just below the Imperial Throne is the Senate. Made up of the elected representatives of their various demesnes of the Empire, the Senate of the Incorporated States of Everglow was founded when the Empire was first formed in order to give the various different peoples that made up the Empire a voice in the political landscape of their nation as well as acting as a balance of power to the Imperial Throne; Hearing the old tales of tyrants with total control of their lands going completely insane with power and the damage they caused, the founders of Everglow wanted to avoid making the mistakes of the past.

At the time being, thirteen people make up the Senate. Twelve elected representatives and the current Emperor or Empress. The Emperor or Empress's vote counts for three, giving their opinion weight but not enough so that they can outright control the Senate. The Senate is the main legal body on the Empire, with most laws and all courses of action that effect the empire as a whole being discussed and voted on within it. The most well known duty of the Senate is voting on who shall be the heir of the current ruler. The Emperor/Empress presents the students they selected to teach the ways of leadership to the Senate and the Senate votes on who they believe would be best to take over the mantle of leadership. The Senate as a whole has three possible options per candidate; Vote in support of them, Vote against them or do nothing. The Senate can vote once per candidate; It isn't strange for someone to vote in support of more then one candidate if they believe that either of them would make a good ruler.

Below the Elected Representatives of the Senate are their respective demesnes. Where the Senate decides the course of the Empire as a whole, the Demesne Governments tend to be more focused on the day to day affairs of their respective territories.
