Hey, Boss, I was just going through Arthur's CS so I could get a gauge of his personality and it lists his sexuality as "Demisexual". I did some research and I realise that this means that he's only attracted to people he is close friends with - but that doesn't tell me if he's gay, straight, bi or whatever.
Just cause some sources online say that you can have demi-sexuals who are only attracted to women, only attracted to men or attracted to both. I presume he'll be attracted to either, but I just want to run this by you first in case I'm wrong.

Appearance

Ruby is blessed with a very naturally pretty appearance, her big blue eyes, pale white skin and long red hair amplifying her sweet and innocent features. Despite her beauty, she is also quite simple minded and klutzy, not so much walking as bouncing and often standing with her hand to her chin, as if pondering something deep and meaningful. She is short and slender, at 5'4 and 109 lbs.

She has avoided the terrors often associated with adolescence, and has a physical appearance most girls are envious of without even trying. Which is good, because she really doesn't try. Her idea of "getting ready" involves a quick shower (soap and shampoo - none of this "Conditioner" and "Shower gel" nonsense) and throwing on the first vaguely appropriate outfit she has.

Of course, she wouldn't be Ruby Hunter unless she had her distinctive Red Hood coat. You will very rarely see her outside without it, making her a very distinctive figure on the streets of Cedar Grove.

Personality

In general, Ruby is cheerful and upbeat, tending to look on the bright side of things. It takes a hell of a lot to make Ruby worried, and a hell of a lot more to make her melancholy. She is very emotive and fluctuates wildly between emotions, going from crying enough water to plumb a small African village to jumping and skipping with joy in a matter of seconds. She is very slow to anger and quick to forgive and forget (mostly the forget part).

She is simple-minded and far too naive for her own good, happily following strangers into dark alleys for the promise of free candy. Despite one hair-raising encounter that had her sister lock her in the house for the next week, she has not learned her lesson at all. She also has a crushing fear of anything she thinks can eat her - Dogs and wolves get the top mention, though big cats and, oddly enough, pigs are all pretty terrifying in her opinion. She is naturally curious and will pry into things that frankly do not concern her. She is oblivious to real danger and holds a very fairytale view of Good Guys and Bad Guys.

She adores sweet things, and would gorge herself on cookies and ice-cream if she wasn't for her Chloe keeping an eye on her. Despite her fear of being eaten, she loves animals that don't bite.

History

Ruby never knew her parents. Her earliest memories of Mystvale consist of waiting at home for her sister to come home, a mere child in a run-down cottage for the majority of the day. Her early life was filled with poverty and more nights than not she went to bed hungry. If she was lucky, some of the old ladies in the village would look after her whilst her sister went out "working", so it wasn't all bad. It was these old ladies who made and gave her the distinctive cloak from which she would derive her name - Little Red Riding Hood.
But she was a scrawny waif at the start of her life, and spent most of her times indoors, in a dilapidated ruin of a home. She rarely left the house as much as she wanted to, and her sister never told her what she was doing when she disappeared for most of the day.

As Red grew older, she began to help out around the house more. Her sister worked harder whilst she stayed behind to patch up their collapsing cottage, with a little help from the villagers of course. Things started going well for the pair - they lived in a fairly respectable home, were cared for by their neighbours and soon the poverty she had been entrenched in when they first moved in became a distant memory.
Then everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked. But if you know the Story of Little Red, you'll know what happens next. She got braver and braver, and would occasionally take walks into the neighbouring villages. In order to get there, she had to pass through a dark, scary wood filled to the brim with all kinds of outlaws and monsters. But Red had no knowledge of these evils. Everyone she knew was a particularly nice person, and the bag guys in the fairy-tales were so distinct that she thought she would know if she ever came across one.
So when a certain Wolf came across her, determined to sink his claws into her, the little girl had no idea what his true intentions were. Blithely, she followed him to his cabin in the woods. He had her remove her cloak and climbed into the bed, asking her to join him. She almost complied. Fortunately for her, a huntsman from her village noticed her cloak and followed her, fearing her safety. When he saw her undress, he burst into the shack and cut the Wolf down. He took the confused and obviously upset Little Red back to the village and waited with her for her sister to come back. She was told she was almost eaten - a story she totally believes and to this day is terrified of.

Though the move to Earth scared and confused her, she has since learned how to cope with the strange, foreign culture. Though she prefers to stick by her fellow Vales, she is learning to integrate with the natives, to whom she just appears a bouncy, upbeat young ditz.
She still thinks of home, and sometimes wishes she could have her old cottage back. But she realises that may not happen - as a result, she is working hard at school so she can get her own cottage on Earth.

Chloe is an attractive young lady, standing at about 5'6 and weighing 127 lbs. She has long blonde hair and green-blue eyes, and she's pretty in a subtle way, nothing really standing out as particularly gorgeous about her. Her skin is a fair bit darker than her paler sibling. She has an athletic figure, toned through her hobby of kickboxing, making her slim but strong.

Clothing-wise, she wears light, loose clothes that are good for moving about in. She's more partial to trousers than skirts, though she will occasionally stick on a dress if it's a formal occasion or she wants to show off her frame.

Personality

Chloe is the kind of girl who teaches you to swim by pushing you into a pond. Straightforward, confident and flippant, she doesn't really care about societal norms and prefers to do her own thing. Unlike Ruby, she is bright and well aware of the dangers that certain people bring with them. However, she still gets into risky situations simply for the thrill. She's not intimidated easily and even when the odds are stacked against her, she will smile and fight on. This goes to the point of being beyond reason, as even when a situation is hopeless she will still try to rectify it.

She is incredibly protective over her younger sister Ruby. She loves her dearly, but her ditzy and oblivious nature makes it hard for her to protect her. She is also very hot-headed, getting enraged easily and tending to lash out without thinking. Of course, it's a big mistake to piss her off - she's not like a lot of other girls and will not shy away from a proper fisticuff. She isn't very good at hiding her emotions, so if you do something wrong, she will let you know and she won't spare your feelings either.

She takes up kickboxing as a hobby. In general, she is very athletic and energetic, going on runs and walking just about everywhere. She is also far more in contact with the criminal underworld than she really should be, and does a bit of thievery on the side to support her and her sister.

History

Running through the forest. Sky - pitch black. Not even the light of moon to guide them. A young girl, sprinting barefoot away from an unknown enemy. In her hands is a little bundle wrapped in a blanket. Her legs are getting cut to ribbons, but she doesn't care. All that matters is getting the hell away from the thing behind her. By now, she is certain she left it long behind, but she isn't taking any chances. She won't stop until she was certain she was safe.
Ahead, a village. The girl slowed, but did not stop. If she went into the village, they'd see her. They'd take her back. Her parent's would feign tears of joy over losing their little girl. Then, it would be back to the house, back to her scumbag father and perverted mother. That was not an option. But whatever was hunting her would surely kill her if she tarried.
There! On the outskirts of the village! A bombed-out ruin of a cottage, far away from prying eyes. More than enough to shelter the girl for the night. Desperately and silently, she darts into the building she did not know she would come to call home. Finding what looked like the old bedroom, she lay her bundle down and attempted to start a fire. She sat there all night by the fire, her baby sister in her arms. They were safe - for now.

Over the next couple of years, neither Goldilocks - for it was her - nor her nameless sister were ever discovered by the villagers. Goldi originally took the baby with her whenever she left the house, stealing food from pantries and shops in the dead of night. as the baby grew into a toddler, Goldilocks left her behind to watch over the ruin. Stories of the ruin being haunted started to spread around the village - the shuffling, the movement at night, the food mysteriously disappearing. Doors were locked and foodstuff sealed away. Goldie and her sister almost starved

Desperate, she broke into a house whilst it's occupants were out. This was early in the morning, and the family was out for a walk. She looted the pantry for anything even remotely edible. Feeling weak and tired, she lay down in the smallest bed and fell asleep.
When she woke up, it was much later into the night. She saw the three faces of the house's occupants - she was caught. But their faces were not those of angry, but concern. Who was this girl? What drove her to break into their home and sleep in their bed? Was this the spirit they had feared? They probed her for answers but got nothing. Goldie only hung her head in shame and cried.

It took a while. Several years, in fact. But eventually Goldie became a part of the village proper. She would go out with the menfolk to cut down trees or hunt or farm. She took quite well to physical labour, especially since she was now getting a regular meal in her belly. She grew strong, smart and resourceful. Looking after Red was also a task that developed her maternal instincts.

The move to Earth didn't scare her as much as excite her. She hoped to meet new people, learn of new places and wow everyone with her skills. But Earth isn't as accepting of young ladies being lumberjacks and hunters. She went back to her oldest profession - thievery - and regularly fences stolen valuables to make enough money for her and her sister to survive on. She hopes to return to Mystvale one day, but until then she is satisfied with what she has now.

Ruby is a little envious of Alyssa. She's seen her making speeches at the school and heard some of her friends complain they lost to her at Cedar Grove Pageant, which sparked her curiosity.

Ruby works with Marlin most days and as such she feels she knows him quite well. She smiles and sings during her work and when Marlin has a bad day, she does what she can to cheer him up. She doesn't mind that he occasionally vanishes and she hasn't noticed that he's addicted to Essix yet. In her eyes, he's very similar to Chloe, looking out for her and keeping her safe whilst going off on adventures of his own.

Ruby is petrified of Lakewood. His social awkwardness and odd looks when he's drunk have led her to theorise that he may not be all he seems to be. Her favoured theory is that he is a cannibal looking for a victim. Ruby, obviously, is terrified of being eaten and thus goes to great lengths to avoid his attention.

Ruby is a singer herself, and enjoys Alden's company. Although he is a womaniser, she is perhaps too young to attract his attention and she's content to keep it that way. However, she doesn't know much about him personally.

"You mean Robert Kirkless Gilbert Nottingham Roger Hereford Guy Simon Belleme Maude Derbyshire John Locksley the First? He works with my sister. I've only spoken to him a couple of times, but he's a real explorer."

Robin is "the guy who works with my sister" to Ruby. As such, they have only briefly chatted and do not know each other that well, bar what Chloe has told them about each other, which in Ruby's case is not much.

"Poor guy. He seems, I dunno, kind of scared of me. Is that the right word? No, it's more like he's scared for me."

Ruby feels sorry for the homeless Kingsley. She's not as attuned to the more subtle emotions as Chloe may be, but even she can tell that he's having a rough time. She would happily sit and listen to his story if she ever had the time.

Ruby's analogy of a rose is perhaps the best way to describe the relationship between Saara and her - very much a look but don't touch sort of deal. Though Ruby would like to know more about the mysterious girl, her prickly and rude nature puts her off. Fortunately, Ruby isn't easily offended and will shrug off most insults as a joke or prank, so she doesn't have a sour view of Saara.

Ruby loves spending time with "Cousin Maile". Their trips to get ice-cream are one of the things she looks forward to the most and Ruby feels she can really open up to her. Oddly enough for her, she knows Maile isn't the most excitable person in the world and tries to put on a calm front - well, somewhat calm front - when they are around each other.

Although Ruby admires her sister and looks up to her in many ways, she finds her very over-protective at times. Their relationship is stable and they get along most of the time, but they don't always see eye to eye.

Ruby knows that there is animosity between Archie and her sister and tries to stay out of it. She is perfectly civil and sometimes quite helpful to the police officer, but in a confrontation between the sheriff and the thief, Ruby will side with the blonde girl even if she doesn't know what's happening.

Piper has a weird grasp over Ruby, though perhaps not one that is deliberate. The younger girl is impressed by and strangely attracted to the drug dealer. She likes her dark, mysterious atmosphere and would love to hang out with her more. She knows Chloe is worried about Piper, and would rather they not get close, but Ruby shrugs it off as Chloe being over-protective.

Alyssa bores Chloe. To her, the pageant queen is just too uninteresting to give a damn about. They don't tend to see eye to eye, since Chloe is a hot-headed, do-whatever-it-takes kind of chick whilst Alyssa is a more by-the-book kind of girl. Though she doesn't go out of her way to antagonise the other girl, but she's not exactly her best friend either.

"I'm worried about him. He used to be able to run that shop of his single-handedly, but he's becoming more and more reliant on my Ruby and it's scaring me."

Chloe worries about Marlin. He's a very likeable guy, and Ruby's close to him - for this reason, she does all she can to make sure he stays on the straight and narrow. But she doesn't really have much sway over him and her sister is no good at that kind of thing. ABove all, she wants to see him recover.

Chloe has three reasons not to like Lakewood. One, he works in the Criminal Justice system and she's a thief. Two, he's a functioning alcoholic whilst she hates substance abuse. Three, he's a suit-wearing, socially-awkward and remarkably perverse creep in her eyes, and she's a pretty young lady in Uni. So yeah, they don't get along. At all.

Chloe acknowledges Alden, but doesn't really talk to him. Their paths don't cross usually, but she recognises the stance of the ex-thief.

"He's a cocky sonofabitch, I'll tell ya that much right now. But he's also the only decent fence in town. Thinks he's God's gift to women and all."

He's her fence. That means he's her boss and could potentially turn her in at any point. She also knows of his daredevil attitude which makes him unlikely to turn her in anyway so they get along swimmingly. Chloe is very keen to keep her work and private lives separate, so it's little more than a friendship to her.

"What can you really say about him? He's a beggar. God knows how he hasn't turned to theft or robbery yet. I guess he's a good guy on the inside, but there's something bothering him. Whatever it was, he needs help dealing with it."

Chloe has a great deal of respect for Kingsley. Not only does she sympathise with his plight due to her own knowledge of what it's like to live on the streets but she understands that he made his mistakes and is paying for them. She wants to help him, but doesn't know how.

Chloe is torn over Saara. On one hand, she sees a pompous, well-to-do brat, the kind that has been born with a silver spoon in her mouth. On the other hand, she recognises... something amiss that reminds her of herself. In the end, Chloe is left in the awkward position where if Saara asks for help, she'll gladly give it, but not without security.

Chloe would get on quite well with Maile, though the barrier that the sorceress puts between herself and others means that Chloe has never really gotten to know her personally. They occasionally engage in a bit of banter or some back-and-forth flirting, but nothing serious.

"Someone to keep you on your toes, huh? He's zany and clever, but sometimes he pushes a little too hard. I almost floored him once - it was an accident, I swear!"

Chloe gets on well with Tarrant. He's zany, spontaneous, more than a little wacky and an all-round joy to be around.

Chloe sees a kindred soul in Amara. They might get along if they knew each other better, but alas they don't really talk. She notices how moody and socially inept the genie is and so keeps out of her way, but it pains her to do so.

"Oh, Ruby... I love her to pieces, but she's not exactly bright, you know? I know she's hanging out with some pretty nasty people, too. I just don't want her getting hurt. She's all I got left."

Chloe is very motherly to Ruby. She dotes on her little sister, but she's also scared for her, worried that her carefree attitude and less-than-average common sense will get her into trouble. This causes some friction between the two, but there is no resentment.

Archie is Chloe's worst enemy. Being a cop, she's terrified of being caught by him and going to jail by his hand. As a result, although she tries to project the image of the typical cocky teenage girl to him, she actually comes across as nervous and bitter. Which probably only helps the "cocky teenage girl" look she's going for, but that's besides the point.

Piper scares and unnerves Chloe. Her eccentric nature and emotional stunting leaves the relatively emotionally-ruled blonde girl at a loss. Her position as "local Essix dealer" doesn't exactly help matters and this will lead to confrontation. Chloe doesn't dislike Piper, but is wary of her.

Of course Chloe has had a run in with Connor, being essentially the head of the criminal underworld in Cedar Grove. He's partly why she stuck with Robin as her fence - better to go through the flirty rogue than go to this guy directly.

Kay, so I still have to do the histories, but here's my two claims.

Appearance

Ruby is blessed with a very naturally pretty appearance, her big blue eyes, pale white skin and long red hair amplifying her sweet and innocent features. Despite her beauty, she is also quite simple minded and klutzy, not so much walking as bouncing and often standing with her hand to her chin, as if pondering something deep and meaningful. She is short and slender, at 5'0 and 109 lbs.

She has avoided the terrors often associated with adolescence, and has a physical appearance most girls are envious of without even trying. Which is good, because she really doesn't try. Her idea of "getting ready" involves a quick shower (soap and shampoo - none of this "Conditioner" and "Shower gel" nonsense) and throwing on the first vaguely appropriate outfit she has.

Of course, she wouldn't be Ruby Hunter unless she had her distinctive Red Hood coat. You will very rarely see her outside without it, making her a very distinctive figure on the streets of Cedar Grove.

Personality

In general, Ruby is cheerful and upbeat, tending to look on the bright side of things. It takes a hell of a lot to make Ruby worried, and a hell of a lot more to make her melancholy. She is very emotive and fluctuates wildly between emotions, going from crying enough water to plumb a small African village to jumping and skipping with joy in a matter of seconds. She is very slow to anger and quick to forgive and forget (mostly the forget part).

She is simple-minded and far too naive for her own good, happily following strangers into dark alleys for the promise of free candy. Despite one hair-raising encounter that had her sister lock her in the house for the next week, she has not learned her lesson at all. She also has a crushing fear of anything she thinks can eat her - Dogs and wolves get the top mention, though big cats and, oddly enough, pigs are all pretty terrifying in her opinion. She is naturally curious and will pry into things that frankly do not concern her. She is oblivious to real danger and holds

She adores sweet things, and would gorge herself on cookies and ice-cream if she wasn't for her Chloe keeping an eye on her. Despite her fear of being eaten, she loves animals that don't bite.

Getting eaten, and anything that can eat her - dogs, wolves, bears, big cats, foxes, cannibals and pigs are her biggest concerns.

History

Ruby never knew her parents. Her earliest memories of Mystvale consist of waiting at home for her sister to come home, a mere child in a run-down cottage for the majority of the day. Her early life was filled with poverty and more nights than not she went to bed hungry. If she was lucky, some of the old ladies in the village would look after her whilst her sister went out "working", so it wasn't all bad. It was these old ladies who made and gave her the distinctive cloak from which she would derive her name - Little Red Riding Hood.
But she was a scrawny waif at the start of her life, and spent most of her times indoors, in a dilapidated ruin of a home. She rarely left the house as much as she wanted to, and her sister never told her what she was doing when she disappeared for most of the day.

As Red grew older, she began to help out around the house more. Her sister worked harder whilst she stayed behind to patch up their collapsing cottage, with a little help from the villagers of course. Things started going well for the pair - they lived in a fairly respectable home, were cared for by their neighbours and soon the poverty she had been entrenched in when they first moved in became a distant memory.
Then everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked. But if you know the Story of Little Red, you'll know what happens next. She got braver and braver, and would occasionally take walks into the neighbouring villages. In order to get there, she had to pass through a dark, scary wood filled to the brim with all kinds of outlaws and monsters. But Red had no knowledge of these evils. Everyone she knew was a particularly nice person, and the bag guys in the fairy-tales were so distinct that she thought she would know if she ever came across one.
So when a certain Wolf came across her, determined to sink his claws into her, the little girl had no idea what his true intentions were. Blithely, she followed him to his cabin in the woods. He had her remove her cloak and climbed into the bed, asking her to join him. She almost complied. Fortunately for her, a huntsman from her village noticed her cloak and followed her, fearing her safety. When he saw her undress, he burst into the shack and cut the Wolf down. He took the confused and obviously upset Little Red back to the village and waited with her for her sister to come back. She was told she was almost eaten - a story she totally believes and to this day is terrified of.

Though the move to Earth scared and confused her, she has since learned how to cope with the strange, foreign culture. Though she prefers to stick by her fellow Vales, she is learning to integrate with the natives, to whom she just appears a bouncy, upbeat young ditz.
She still thinks of home, and sometimes wishes she could have her old cottage back. But she realises that may not happen - as a result, she is working hard at school so she can get her own cottage on Earth.

Chloe is an attractive young lady, standing at about 5'6 and weighing 127 lbs. She has long blonde hair and green-blue eyes, and she's pretty in a subtle way, nothing really standing out as particularly gorgeous about her. Her skin is a fair bit darker than her paler sibling. She has an athletic figure, toned through her hobby of kickboxing, making her slim but strong.

Clothing-wise, she wears light, loose clothes that are good for moving about in. She's more partial to trousers than skirts, though she will occasionally stick on a dress if it's a formal occasion or she wants to show off her frame.

Personality

Chloe is the kind of girl who teaches you to swim by pushing you into a pond. Straightforward, confident and flippant, she doesn't really care about societal norms and prefers to do her own thing. Unlike Ruby, she is bright and well aware of the dangers that certain people bring with them. However, she still gets into risky situations simply for the thrill. She's not intimidated easily and even when the odds are stacked against her, she will smile and fight on. This goes to the point of being beyond reason, as even when a situation is hopeless she will still try to rectify it.

She is incredibly protective over her younger sister Ruby. She loves her dearly, but her ditzy and oblivious nature makes it hard for her to protect her. She is also very hot-headed, getting enraged easily and tending to lash out without thinking. Of course, it's a big mistake to piss her off - she's not like a lot of other girls and will not shy away from a proper fisticuff. She isn't very good at hiding her emotions, so if you do something wrong, she will let you know and she won't spare your feelings either.

She takes up kickboxing as a hobby. In general, she is very athletic and energetic, going on runs and walking just about everywhere. She is also far more in contact with the criminal underworld than she really should be, and does a bit of thievery on the side to support her and her sister.

History

Running through the forest. Sky - pitch black. Not even the light of moon to guide them. A young girl, sprinting barefoot away from an unknown enemy. In her hands is a little bundle wrapped in a blanket. Her legs are getting cut to ribbons, but she doesn't care. All that matters is getting the hell away from the thing behind her. By now, she is certain she left it long behind, but she isn't taking any chances. She won't stop until she was certain she was safe.
Ahead, a village. The girl slowed, but did not stop. If she went into the village, they'd see her. They'd take her back. Her parent's would feign tears of joy over losing their little girl. Then, it would be back to the house, back to her scumbag father and perverted mother. That was not an option. But whatever was hunting her would surely kill her if she tarried.
There! On the outskirts of the village! A bombed-out ruin of a cottage, far away from prying eyes. More than enough to shelter the girl for the night. Desperately and silently, she darts into the building she did not know she would come to call home. Finding what looked like the old bedroom, she lay her bundle down and attempted to start a fire. She sat there all night by the fire, her baby sister in her arms. They were safe - for now.

Over the next couple of years, neither Goldilocks - for it was her - nor her nameless sister were ever discovered by the villagers. Goldi originally took the baby with her whenever she left the house, stealing food from pantries and shops in the dead of night. as the baby grew into a toddler, Goldilocks left her behind to watch over the ruin. Stories of the ruin being haunted started to spread around the village - the shuffling, the movement at night, the food mysteriously disappearing. Doors were locked and foodstuff sealed away. Goldie and her sister almost starved

Desperate, she broke into a house whilst it's occupants were out. This was early in the morning, and the family was out for a walk. She looted the pantry for anything even remotely edible. Feeling weak and tired, she lay down in the smallest bed and fell asleep.
When she woke up, it was much later into the night. She saw the three faces of the house's occupants - she was caught. But their faces were not those of angry, but concern. Who was this girl? What drove her to break into their home and sleep in their bed? Was this the spirit they had feared? They probed her for answers but got nothing. Goldie only hung her head in shame and cried.

It took a while. Several years, in fact. But eventually Goldie became a part of the village proper. She would go out with the menfolk to cut down trees or hunt or farm. She took quite well to physical labour, especially since she was now getting a regular meal in her belly. She grew strong, smart and resourceful. Looking after Red was also a task that developed her maternal instincts.

The move to Earth didn't scare her as much as excite her. She hoped to meet new people, learn of new places and wow everyone with her skills. But Earth isn't as accepting of young ladies being lumberjacks and hunters. She went back to her oldest profession - thievery - and regularly fences stolen valuables to make enough money for her and her sister to survive on. She hopes to return to Mystvale one day, but until then she is satisfied with what she has now.
