@Drakey

Realistically, that will probably have to happen.
Demetree stood there, rather annoyed at being passed by the dragon lady- she had maybe looked at him for two seconds, before staring at the other two and then stalking off. Shit like that was gonna give Demetree an aneurysm some say, he was sure of it. He angrily asked the bartender for the highest proof whiskey they had, and sat down in her seat. He was about to start ranting before checking his mailbox and realizing she had just sent him coordinates. "Fuck." he muttered to himself- the guy had no ship to begin with, so getting there might be expensive.

Suddenly a loud baritone voice declared its unimpression with the woman and he felt rather inclined to agree. The bartender handed him his whisky and Demetree downed it shortly, and made his way over to the man in question, nodding solemnly. "She's got some serious balls to walk in here like that, like she owns the place." Demetree felt incredibly insulted that she just upped and walked away, and was willing to bond over that anger and annoyance. He extended his hand: "Demetree."

Jakob stepped onto the shore, his arms supporting the bag balancing on top of the one currently on his back, like a large bag shaped T. The money his parents had given him had long since run out and the stipend he received while studying at the university had been barely enough to live on. Therefore, he had not been able to afford a porter to carry his bags for him. Not that he minded too much- despite a noble upbringing, he had dirtied his hands enough times back home in the crimea and thus did not struggle with their weight. His uniform was a bit disheveled from the work, but he hoped he could straighten it out quickly before his appointment with his captain.

Remembering the path to the citadel from his first time in Nikomedia, he made his way through the bustling streets in rather good time. Upon making it through the citadel gates, his first stop was to the quarters duty desk. A rather put upon corporal wound up sending one of troopers also on duty away with Cornet Konyk's bags to a secure room, until he could claim it after his appointment with the captain. Looking at the clock on the wall, he realized he had yet another hour until he was needed in the captain's office. Deciding he had time, he went looking for something he was unable to find last time- the library.
It should, yes
Balls. Frokane was gonna let me play :(
1. Its actually a one to five ratio

2. This is historically accurate for a regiment of dragoons, which are cavalry- the ratio is much higher in the infantry for example.

3. A five to one subordinate is plenty efficient, especially since each cornet has a subordinate NCO to help them and the lieutenant does as well.

4. Its also administratively useful- guiding and being responsible for individual soldiers makes a platoon leaders job untenable.

5. As an aside, breaking down a cavalry platoon that much allows it to scout and maneouver effectively at speed- since, yknow, horseback.
