Bio

Oh let's see. I've been on this site for awhile. So I figured it's time for an update to this thing.

I'm old lol. Born in 1990. I'm sure you can do the math. I've been roleplaying since freshmen year in highschool. So I have a lot of experience, to say the least.

As for my tastes in rps. I like custom worlds that don't branch from fandoms. I'm personally not great at fandoms. I can do them if I like my partner enough but I just can't get into a mindset of a world that has everything set in it. I like dark, gritty roleplays that delve into the darker themes that tend to make people feel uncomfortable sometimes. I have and WILL kill off my characters if it feels like that's where the plot is going. Nothing is safe! I like to think of myself as a literate rper. You WILL get at least three paragraphs from me. Sometimes it can go up to pages if what is happening requires it but I usually keep to it under two pages for normal replies. I enjoy dynamic characters that are fun to play! I play both male and female roles without a problem and I am not opposed to LGBTQ+ relationships either. Most genres are not off the table except maybe slice of life. I'm already living a boring life. I don't roleplay to keep doing that.

I unfortunately have Major Depressive Disorder and though I take meds for it, sometimes my world just kind of crashes down around me and I may just vanish. My replies will become less frequent and then I'll just disappear off the face of the earth. I'm really sorry for people I've done this to in the past. I'm working on it.

I do group and 1x1 roleplays. I do have discord (BunniesofDoom) and can roleplay on that if you want but I much rather the site because my replies tend to get long and I don't like copy and pasting over and over just to get one reply out.

Well this is getting kind of long. I feel like I'm putting out an application. So I'll go ahead and end it here. If you want to roleplay, hit me up and we'll see if we mesh well!

I used to read books like that. I'd be interested in giving it a try.
Serphia watched the man approach her, instructing her to let him see her wound. Everything she ever knew and learned told him not to let him see her side. He could poison her, injure her more severely, kill her in her moment of weakness but her logical mind watched the way he spoke, how he held himself, and how gently he was addressing her. She bit the inside of her cheek but reluctantly moved her hand out of the way for him. As he summoned the magic to warm his hand, she snapped her eyes closed and stilled. When his hand pressed into her side, the only sign of pain she exhibited was the tightening of her eyes and her fingers lightly digging into the dirt and grass. She remained completely still otherwise and as he moved his hand away, she let her body relax lightly.

She gave a meager nod of acknowledgement towards his apology, unsure if she could speak just yet again, her throat tight as the pain slowly simmered. She sat against the trunk with her eyes closed, listening as the wizard explained that they needed to get going. Arloke gave her some encouraging chirps and she finally opened her eyes to gaze down at her little fuzzy friend. She grunted as she finally rose, her face twisting into discomfort at the pull of the burned flesh. At least she wasn't bleeding anymore. One step in the right direction, she supposed. What she wouldn't give to have her armor back, however, or any other weapons besides her basic dagger and the guard's sword. She didn't even have a sheath for the sword so she was forced to carry it around in the open as they went.

Her senses were on high alert as they progressed. Every little twig snap, rustling of leaves, or quiver of a bush had her head on a swivel. As night finally caught up with them, her darkvision allowed her to peer out into the wood and see what it was that was around them. Mostly it was just the basic wildlife but from time to time, she would pause for a moment and listen to human voices as they passed by them on the road. None of them seemed dangerous to their current situation, mostly just lovers looking for a place away from town and quiet where they wouldn't be disturbed. When the lights of the village flickered off in the distance like a burning torch, she paused. She was thankfully for the mage at that moment because the drow was well and truly lost. She did not know the names of the villages nor if they would be safe for them to sneak into and settle for the night. As far as she was aware, this was just a nameless settlement where humans gathered.

As they peered through the bushes, the drow scanned the surrounding areas. It seemed to be a rather peaceful place without walls or any true defense. She searched through looking for a suitable place for them to bunker down and spotted a farmhouse off into the distance. She gave Malcador a gentle nudge before she pointed to where she saw the farmhouse off in the distance. They began their trek, slipping in and out of shadows of the treeline as they went, sure not to be spotted by anyone.

When the mage nearly tripped on the clothesline, she had to bite her bottom lip not to sputter out a laugh. It was a sudden stress relief that came from nowhere and broke her stern mask for only a moment. Her stern mask once more in place, she picked a tunic and pants off the line and draped it over her shoulder. She followed the wizard as he opened up the barn and she silently slipped in before he closed the door behind them. She stood, crouched at the entrance as her eyes scanned the area. There didn’t seem to be any living things out in the barn, so after a moment of checking that the coast was clear, she finally straightened and gave a whistle to Arloke. He scurried along her shoulder and she raised her hand up so he could jump from her arm to the second story with ease. She listened as he explained that the barn surely wasn’t Castle Never and her eyebrow quirked up a bit. She did not know of that place. She didn’t know of any real places on the surface.

She understood his frustration. She needed armor and true weapons, or at least a sheath so she wouldn’t have to open carry the sword around with her at all times. She was also very hungry as well. What little food she had, she threw up into the grass just outside the Thentia outer wall. She peered up at Arloke weaving himself a small nest on the second floor and pondered if her little friend could go and find them some food. Perhaps he could hunt for them and bring back anything he may find.

When he asked how she was holding up, she moved her gaze from Arloke to the mage. She scanned him over, remaining quiet for a moment before she turned her eyes back to her spider settling into his web bed. “Serphia.” She said before she faced the mage completely, crossing her arms in front of her chest with a low sigh. She rested her upper back against one of the support beams before continuing, “You may call me Serphia and I’m quite fine.” In reality, her side throbbed painfully and her body was exhausted but it wasn’t anything she couldn’t deal with. She was trained to endure worse.

“As for food,” she gave a low whistle followed by a few clicks and Arloke peeked out from his little cubby hole. He looked down at her, his fangs twitching lightly as they caught each other’s gazes. She tilted her head to the side, curious, before the little spider chittered and began to crawl down from his nest. He didn’t seem to be too happy about the task she sent him to do but he followed her command, nonetheless. He hurried along the ground before climbing the wall and slipping out of the window above.

“He will hunt for us. Though, what he will bring back will not be very large.” The spider would still need to be able to bring the prey back to them and Serphia hoped that he wasn’t so upset that he would inject his venom into the prey just to get back at her. He had done that a time or two whenever she spent too much time out of the home and left him behind. He could be rather vindictive like that. She imagined he wouldn’t, however. Arloke was a very intelligent little pet and he understood, at least to a degree, that his task was important. \
@IAmTheIsland
Aw Erik is so cute with his proper ways and not wanting to break protocol.
@BunniesOfDoom i'm sorry, but i might have to stop being in the roleplay, since i have a bunch of other roleplay commitments, and i just might need to take this one off so that i don't have a bunch going on

That's fine. A shame to see you go but I understand.

Would it be alright if I kill of your character then? Or do you want me to save if in case you ever want to return?
Too little/much

Well, she had quite the backbone to her, huh? Without even dropping the man in her arms, the young woman dashed forward with the sword in her hands. Algrimar stared at her for a moment, unsure of what he was seeing. A young light bearer, carrying a fallen ally, had just drawn a sword and charged him with said ally still in her arms. If the man had eyebrows, they would have risen high at the sight. This was probably the stupidest thing he had seen someone do in the times of his battles. Well, perhaps not the stupidest. He once had a man charge him with his bare hands, like his fists would even make a dent in his armor. So this was probably the second most stupid thing he had seen. At least she had a weapon in her hands.

Algrimar watched her dash forward, sword pointed directly in front of her before she took a swing at his leg. He crossed his arms, unmoving even as the blade of her katana made contact with his armor. There was a loud clang of metal on metal before the brute of a man began to laugh.

”I’m afraid I have to acknowledge your bravery, child.” He reached down for the katana, his large gauntleted hand attempting to coil around the blade. ”To come at me with dead weight and even attempt to strike me through my armor. It was stupid, but incredibly brave. I’ll enjoy eating the flesh off your bones.” As he reached for the blade with one hand, he unleashed his gaze upon the girl, locking his eyes on her own with a sadistic grin on his face. He moved his free hand, its palm a glow with hell fire. He reached towards her head, a dark laugh leaving him as he extended his arm. Such a foolish fight. The girl would have been better off running for her life than trying to fight him.

There was a loud crack of thunder and just before Algrimar’s hand touched the girl’s head, a bolt of bright light slammed into him. It was strong enough to send the brute crashing into the beach and forcing him to slide along the sand. He situated himself upright, digging his claws into the sand and halting himself. Eyes like fire locked on the older woman at the top of the wall, her staff raised high and the bulbous head glowing brightly.

The old woman was panting, her grip on the staff weak and her arms quivering, yet she kept the staff held high, a beacon of light in the midnight sun. Algrimar sneered at the woman as he slowly stood to his full height again, rolling the shoulder the bolt of light had hit. ”Let’s see you do that again, old hag!” He called out to the woman before turning his eyes on the child again. He will finish the girl first than find a way to drop that sigil so he can personally thank that woman for such a hit.

Tarrian was content to just sit there for a while longer on her bench. She was going to wait for the sun to dip below the horizon then go seek out something to eat for dinner. She was idly gazing up at the sky as the stars were slowly popping into existence. She traced a few of the constellations with her eyes. Some of them were still incomplete, the night sky not being dark enough yet for the fainter of stars to appear but she still found a few that she could recognize. Usually night brought worry but Tarrian always felt like the night was a peaceful time that she enjoyed.

As the guard made their rounds, Tarrian let her eyes linger on them for a moment before turning her gaze back to the sky. When he paused, however, she focused on the man. It was Erik Ostriecher V, son to the man who had taught her a harsh lesson just earlier. She puckered her lips a moment as he tried to comfort her in a way. She had seen the way that man trains, she knew it would not be a gentle training for her but she hadn’t expected a large bruise and almost broken ribs harsh.

“I think,” she pondered a moment as she leaned her head back, still watching the guard in the corner of her eye, “He must learn a new way to train. If I am not mistaken, he was treating me like a Grim to be slain. I have never been so abused by an instructor before.” Her hand slowly rose to the bruise on her side, a frown planted on her face before she sighed and sat straighter.

“I apologize. I know he is your father. I should not speak so ill of him to you.” She turned on the bench, pulling her leg up so she could face him properly. “I see you are on patrol this night. Do you require companionship? I do not have anything planned for the rest of the evening and it seems it’s going to be a nice, warm night.” She wasn’t quite ready to head inside to simply eat than sleep. She could take some time to give a friend companionship while he spent his evening patrolling the walls and making sure their home did not come under attack.

She also knew Erik from a relatively young age. His father trained her own father and other light bearers that earned their gifts. The man had a tendency to take the world upon his shoulders and is hesitant to give even a sliver of that weight to others. She wanted to make sure he wasn’t stressing about something behind the scenes. She would hate to learn that he had lost his way because someone didn’t take the time to check on him from time to time.
@HyliaIncarnate
Love her! Put her butt in the character selection and get her into the fray!

Edit:
I'll have my duo post up here in a moment! Just finishing up my girl's reply.
The rp is really starting to move now!
I agree! But the more we post and people see it, the more others will join. We've got a nice solid little squad at the moment. It'll be alright.
can light bearers purify grim who used to be human?

I feel like the lesser grim who used to be human once could be purified but those who were more willing to the darkness would be harder or even impossible to purify.
