Bio

Welcome to my profile page

You found it

I guess it really isn't that hard though either.

I've been on this site for two years and I haven't written a bio, but I figured it's better late than never :P

I like to play a variety of different characters, but most tend to be humans in a modern setting. I feel like I tend to relate better if they're human, and I like roleplay plots that center more around the characters themselves and character development, versus magic or some "quest" going on.

My favorite genres are modern, slice of life, horror, and a good helping of romance on the side. However, I dislike 1x1 roleplays and like for romance to be a casual side plot rather than the center of the roleplay.

I enjoy characters with unusual personalities, but are fairly normal and well adjusted. They don't need pages of backstory or personality, they just need to sound believable to me.

I started roleplaying online about 7 years ago, and I was doing tabletop roleplaying a few years before that. I still actively participate in table top games, and my interest in roleplaying online waxes and wanes.

I like to write a lot, but I find the standards in a lot of advanced roleplaying sections to be rather intimidating, so I stick to casual or free roleplays.

I (like many other people on this site), think wayy too much about their characters and their backstories. I really hope to animate one day or get my characters out to the world in a more professional way, but for now I enjoy roleplaying them and seeing how they change and develop.

Thanks for reading :)

Hey, I realize this roleplay has already started, but is it alright if I join?

This is my character sheet:

Holy smokes, I just realized that almost everyone has a missing dad, haha. That was unintentional on my part. I can see about thinking of something different in regards to my character's family situation, lol.

And I'll be taking those location and npc suggestions ^^
I'm still working out everything for his backstory and how he met the Lostman (I was thinking that it might happen during the roleplay, not before it), but this is a rough outline for what I have down so far for this character. If there's anything I need to change to fit with the game, I am more than willing to edit it ^^.

This roleplay sounds really interesting, I apologise if it's getting too crowded now, since I think there are already 6(?) or so people who have also expressed an interest in this game.

I really like the cyberpunk feel of the world and everything, and I was thinking of making a character who hung out with the other dredges of society, punks, in short. I'm thinking along the lines of the movie AKIRA, with groups of biker gangs that would race down the streets of Tenoroshi. My character used to belong to a local biker gang but never especially felt like he fit in with the rest of the crew. He felt disconnected- but never could think of a way to leave or turn away from the life of violence he had entered without feeling the retribution from his former "friends".

This would launch him into a narrative of trying to untangle himself from this life of crime and trying to really figure out who he was and where his life is going. Since he feels like the foundations of what his life was built on are now giving away, he starts searching for something else to grab onto, something that could pull him out of this blackhole of delinquency and corruption. This would lead up to him finding "the lostman" - the only part I'm stuck on is what sort of power he would gain.

I don't do a lot of sci-fi/fantasy roleplays, and I'm a little unsure of what sorts of powers the characters in this setting would have. It seems like the powers this story favors are more passive, but insightful abilities that tamper with reality. If what I'm thinking is correct, that's really cool and I definitely like those powers better than the typical "superhero" powers. I'm still trying to come up what sort of power would fit/be appropriate for my character, and whether it would change him or center on manipulating the world. If you have any suggestions I'd love to hear them.

Oh, and if there's anything you could give me about world building or anything I need to change about the premise of my character, feel free to let me know. I'm not familiar with the anime you listed, so there's a good chance that I could have gotten something wrong, haha.

EDIT: I was thinking more about what kind of power my character could have and I thought maybe some sort of nondetection power that obscures his presence? It's not exactly like invisibility because it would be more of a mental trait where if he concentrates, he can "jam" someone's brain from processing where he is. So he could be standing near someone and they wouldn't notice that he's there because he's augmenting their perception of him, if that makes any sense. He also wouldn't be able to affect large groups of people with this ability, since it's a concentration thing on his part. Sufficiently willed people have a chance of seeing through his ability and noticing him as well.

Please don't let this roleplay be dead.
Fillan:

Everything moved around so fast. I decided the best I could do right now was keep out of the way, people didn't need me messing them up, especially not when the situation was so dire. I had pulled a math packet out from under my shirt. I always kept packets on me. I grabbed my mechanical pencil out of the small pocket on my shirt and started working, trying to keep my mind busy on other things.

The young man, who had the mysterious gash on his chest and face, suddenly bolted up and was talking? It didn't look like he was talking to anyone of us however. I thought it was really strange and maybe just a little unnerving, but soon enough he fell back asleep, or unconscious I suppose. Was this something he did regularly or...?

That wasn't all though, as I tried to refocus myself the guy suddenly sat up and started talking about his mother. I wasn't paying the closest attention to any of this, but I'm almost certain that his mother had nothing to do with any of this. The others seemed to act accordingly, settling him down and telling him to lie still. Things seemed to calm down after that and even Kludd and that one girl were working together to help the poor guy. It was a nice scene– the fact they were working together, not that the guy was bleeding out and had potential head trauma based on the things he'd been saying.

I decided to make my approach when everything calmed down. I really didn't want to mess anything up after all, so it was probably best to wait until the chances of me getting in their way were low. I turned to Kludd,
"Maybe we could um, look for food together?" I glanced around the place as I spoke, "I would like to um, explore the mansion as well but it would probably be um, best if we went in a group." I looked back at him,
"If that's alright with you, of course."
Yo guys, sorry I haven't done much today. There isn't a whole lot for me to do at the moment, haha. Fillan doesn't really fill the role of "medic". I'll post more once this whole ordeal is all over.
Fillan:

"Oh, no problem." I nodded and followed where Kludd had directed too. I sincerely hoped the guy would be okay- his face looked like it had some nasty slashes all over it. Could he have been the person that the girl was referring too earlier? The one who fell in the void?

I entered the room and looked around for more cloth. There was a tablecloth on one of the tables. It doesn't look like there's anything else in here to use so... I went over and grabbed it. A bit long, but we could probably cut it down into smaller pieces. Wrapping it under my arm, I walked as quickly as possible back into the room and handed the tablecloth over to Kludd,
"I know it's um, a bit long but I believe that's the um, only thing left in the room...you might be able to tear it or um, something."
I tried to be hopeful, but this guy looked like he had grave injuries and without any medical tools to treat him, I didn't know how much longer he was going to last.
Fillan:

I caught Isaac's smile and returned with one of my own. I had been growing more hopeful about getting out of here since finding Kludd and it would nice to make some new friends along the way. I closed the communication line and looked around, the arguing seems to have dissipated but I noticed several people had gathered around someone in the corner.

Curious, I went over to look. I approached the 'crowd' (if you could even term it that, there were so few of us) and saw there was a young man bleeding out. Kludd and two other girls were already working on stopping the bleeding however, so I figured my help there wasn't needed. But as I turned to leave, the young man suddenly tried to stand up before passing out again. I caught a glimpse of his face and it looked like a gruesome patchwork of flesh. Like someone tried to cut his face completely open but didn't quite get the job done. It was slightly unnerving. This looks bad...
Kludd asked if anyone could help.
"I can um, try...do you need more cloth? I can um, gather some more of that."
