@Shadow Dragon, it depends because the solution differs from person to person. But I just chat with my lover or play games with friends. Watch "Memes" with them. Ultimately, the little things.

Just tried Long Island Ice tea for the first time. I can see why people love this. Life is good.

@FalloutJackFair enough, I honestly agree, just was me joking about.

But yeah. I'll work on the stuff when I'm more awake.
@FalloutJack So what you're saying is.

"Ice Blaster with Gauss Rife." Type deal, stun based weapons, and recharging shields, got it.~
@AlternateManThe Radiation would realistically harm you without a shadow of the doubt if it compromised your cell structure, and the integrity.

While you could hurt the bio-organism invading... The X are very adaptable. It would be unwise for all parties involved, and would lead to a far more painful death than it would be to assimilated and lose your sense of consciousness. If anything, that would be the most painful death you could endure in a effort to save someone. XD
@FalloutJack As for the X parasites, I know about them, they're also able to replicate whatever they... what is the word... assimilate? But they're not initially that smart, but are effectively like "The Thing" and "The Blob".

Even if someone had or didn't have energy to heal; I don't feasibly see how that would have purged a parasite logically speaking from a forensic standpoint. So I did account for that; the healing would be more for... lacerations, burns, possibly treating different kinds of infections, or even just blocking or purging radiation if it is present.

(Though, I do think Radiation purging would be a bit much, see as I would not feasibly understand how it would work... But Metroid is Space Fantasy, not Sci-fi. Tech used to convey magic,exct.)

But I'll see what I can scrounge up later.

I'll send you a more thought out idea when I am more awake. But so far, my mind is brimming with ideas I can find both amusing, fun, and practical all at the same time. So I say off to a good start.
@FalloutJackI could do something like that.

What types of powers are allowed of characters?

Mostly because some Hunters in the series are capable of powers that you'd not see in a beam.
Things you'd not see in a Gadget?

Obviously he could have gadgets in tandem with natural ability. (I;e, could still use weapons and still fulfill the role of healing or supporting maybe? I can be flexible with this kind of thing.)
@FalloutJack

To better illustrate, Someone who takes note of everyone's progress and updates, forwards relevant information based on findings, while stating observation, analytics, and general status updates.

Basically. "I'm nearby, but I might not really be in a fight, the safety of the ship, or orbit is fine."
To better simplify, I guess sorta like... Think of the characters from Metal Gear Solid who do not appear to help you on foot, but keep you updated from the sidelines. (Could also say someone like Arthur from Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey.)

Collects general information based on your findings, makes a chart based on it.
Notes resources in the areas based in findings for a reference point.

In a safe place, he might take note of your physical health, and personally inquire how you are feeling. (Mostly because if there is something going on, he'd want a scan on it.)

Tl;dr - General Analytics, not a combatant role, but works as a pillar of support in his own way. Keeps track of progress. For the most part, neutral on opinions, and cares for the facts. Keeps everyone updated. (Mostly because the isolation of Metroid styled Worlds, I imagine they split up when dealing with separate objectives, or just generally split up due to complications.) Probably has the least combat experience, but by no means useless.

However, if this is not to your interest, I can work around it.
@FalloutJack Sarcasm?~

I think I like this already, made me crack a smile.

It's just I have a few things going on between today, and tomorrow. But Saturday and onward I should have free time on my hands; provided I don't sleep for 12 hours like I'm used to; but I'd be committed none the less.

Just been a huge Metroid fan for years, and it's exciting to see well rounded post with a good dichotomy.

However, I could probably do a bit of a draft today, PM it and all, mostly because I realize I might have to work around what you may need of a character that isn't too samey as someone else, while still bringing something new to the table.

But I think I'll make an alien for this, but might take a more... supporting role.

Would a "Sidelines" like character be okay?
I'll be incredibly frank, I'm interested in this.

But in the event this is full, I would respect having to not be able to be part of this. But as a Longtime Metroid fan, this holds my interest compared to a lot of... the newer roleplays I see on this site; while I get that can come off as demeaning on one hand, it is just I'm glad to see a non-anime roleplay for once.

In the event I could apply, would I be allowed after the weekend?
