“Well, here we are! I suppose that this is where you wanted to go, Tidus!” Bartz said cheerfully as he glanced over at Tidus. While he seemed to have wanted to help out Tidus in other ways, he opted to not let the blonde teen know that as he quickly took a step back from him and waited for his response.

“Thank you, Bartz. I really appreciate the help!” Tidus said before he ended up smiling. While he was glad that Bartz had decided to help him out by guiding him to the mechanic, he also decided not to speak further than a simple thanks.

The Citadel

Deep within a secluded forest in another world, there stood a towering structure known only as the Citadel. While not many beyond the people who worked there knew of the lab’s existence, those that did also tried to hide it by any means necessary. While this also meant making sure that nobody discovered the place, it also meant making sure that any information about it was erased as well. To this extent, those who accidentally stumbled across the place who weren’t experiments or staff members usually had their memories erased so that the secrecy of the lab wouldn’t be jeopardized.

However, on an almost silent day, a new arrival was being brought to the lab. While this arrival was only recently found on a nearby beach, he was still brought to the lab by those who were rather curious to learn more about merfolk although once the scientists brought him into the lab, there was a slight hiss that could be heard from him that seemed to signify annoyance at being taken away from the beach. While this was not the only sign that the newly arrived merman was quite upset with the current situation, it was far from being the most important sign.

Elsewhere in the facility, Hoshi, an artificial humanoid, was currently sitting on the bed in his room and opted to remain completely silent. Like always, he was not to leave his room without an escort which he seemed to follow rather well although today was one of those days where he wished that he could have left his room. While he seemed to be unaware of the presence of any of the other experiments, a loud hiss coming from one of the rooms across from him soon grabbed his attention and caused him to approach the window only to see that Firion, another experiment in the lab had suddenly hissed at a scientist as a warning to stay away from him.

However, in another part of the lab, Bartz and Vaan were sitting in complete silence in their assigned rooms. While they knew not of if the scientists had planned anything for the day, they were also unsure about why they were greeted with nothing but silence in the location that they were in nor did they have any idea about why Shiro was being completely silent either.

“Why am I not surprised that he would do something like that? After all, it is what he’s known for whether we like it or not. However, sometimes, I really wish that he would just stop and think before he acted. It would make things so much better and not as dangerous although we can never have nice things like that, can we?” Firion said. While he did walk over to where Bartz was standing after he spoke, he also ended up making it somewhat clear that he did not wish to be anywhere near Tidus which could be determined slightly by his tone of voice as well.

“Well, he is Tidus after all. It’s just what he does.” Vaan said as he watched Firion walk over to where Tidus was. While he did want to approach him, he also ended up turning to leave out the door as well. He had enough of being in the medbay and as a result, wanted to go explore the rest of the facility to see if he could find anything of interest. However, he also didn’t notify the others before he left which led to come slight confusion from Bartz and Firion.

Bartz has short brown hair, one brown eye and one grey eye (because I couldn’t choose between them so why not both?) and does tend to wear an outfit that is straight out of a fantasy game. He is 5’7” in terms of height and also has two faerie wings with a crystalline pattern on his back that are normally hidden by the cape that he wears.

Personality, Powers, Abilities and Weapons
Personality: While he’s normally an easygoing and friendly individual, Bartz is so much more than just a cheerful young man all the time. While he does enjoy being around other people, there are times where he would prefer to be left alone such as when he starts becoming overwhelmed by his emotions. At this point, he will excuse himself from any social interactions in a polite manner while he tries to process his emotions. He is also overly trusting which tends to make him more susceptible to being captured by an enemy. This is the reason why those who are on the same team as him receive a recommendation to keep an eye on him so that he won’t end up being captured. Aside from being overly trusting, he has trouble verbalizing difficult emotions and has a fear of heights (Acrophobia). He is also rather innocent and doesn’t understand some concepts of the world.
Powers:
•Immortality - An inability to age or die from biological causes
•Spellcasting - Basically Magic. It has various weaknesses depending on the kind of magic and different elements are effective against one another. For example, Fire magic is rather effective on ice magic but it is beaten by Water Magic. Similarly, light magic and dark magic are weak to one another. Also, not casting a spell correctly can lead to some disastrous consequences. (Luckily, Bartz has near limitless mana.)
•Whisperwind/Heavenswind - Whisperwind and Heavenswind are Sylph’s signature abilities although Bartz can use them. Both of them are wind elemental attacks and are pretty powerful as well. Whisperwind is also useful for helping wounds equivalent to about a fraction of the damage that the ability causes. If others are present in Bartz’s party, the total amount of damage caused by the ability is split between him and other members of the party.
•Weapon summoning - Pretty self explanatory, Bartz is able to summon weapons although it is limited to the 12 sealed weapons and the Brave Blade. (The 12 sealed weapons are the Excalibur (sword), Masamune (katana), Rune Axe (axe), Apollo’s Harp (harp), Yoichi Bow (bow), Assassin’s Dagger (dagger), Sasuke’s Katana (short sword), Fire Lash (whip), Gaia’s Bell (bell), Holy Lance (Spear), Sage’s Staff (staff) and then Magus Rod (rod).) (The entities probably sealed away this ability of his)

Vaan appears to be a 17 year old boy with ashen blonde hair, blue-grey eyes with cat-like pupils, two purplish blackish dragon wings on his back, sharpened claw-like fingernails, and two small but rather sharp fangs in his mouth. He stands at about 5’7” in terms of height and also wears an outfit that appears to have come straight out of a fantasy game.

Personality: While normally coming off as naive at first, Vaan is a rather cheerful person who is fiercely loyal. However, there are more sides of his personality have come to light including his stubbornness. This stubbornness can cause him to end up in some dangerous situations. He is also reckless sometimes which can add to the danger that he can bring to himself.

Appearance: Shiro appears to be around 18 years old with long, silvery white hair, grey eyes, and stands at about 5’11” in terms of height. While this makes him the tallest of his siblings, his general appearance was also determined due to the base genetic template for him being some of Firion’s blood that the Citadel had managed to obtain. However, he also often has some flowering vines wrapped around his right arm along with the wings of a dragon on his back and two small but razor sharp fangs in his mouth. He also tends to wear an outfit that appears to be out of a fantasy game as well.

“So we won’t have to worry about pitchforks and torches then. What a relief…” Firion muttered softly as he glanced over at Bartz. While he was undoubtedly relieved that he wouldn’t have to deal with anyone trying to kill him, he also seemed to be rather curious about why Bartz had decided to step away from Tidus although he decided not to ask him about his decision. Rather, he just stood there in silence as he also ended up glancing over at Vaan who was at the other wall.

“So Vaan, has Tidus done anything stupid prior to getting caught in the net?” He asked the ashen haired merman. He was somewhat curious about what Tidus could have done prior to being caught in the net hence the reason why he decided to ask Vaan about it.

“Well, aside from pulling a prank on the wrong merfolk, not much. Tidus often doesn’t think before he acts especially when he pulls these practical jokes of his…” Vaan said as he glanced over at Tidus as if trying to prove a point.

Shown in the image. As shown in the image, Tidus is a blonde haired boy with blue eyes that stands at around 5’9” in terms of height. He often wears the clothing shown in the images above although he does take on a slightly different appearance in his merfolk form.
Merfolk Form: His merfolk form is almost the same as his human form with the exception of the cerulean colored tail that glows in the dark that replaces the lower body of a human. Also, he doesn’t wear a shirt in his merfolk form

Personality, Powers, Abilities and Weapons
Personality: Tidus is rather energetic to the point where he can be described as “annoyingly energetic” by some. Aside from his boundless energy, he is rather friendly and has a somewhat childish demeanor. He is also rather upbeat unless facing a serious situation.
Powers:
•Immortality - Due to being a merman, Tidus cannot age past 17 years of age and for some odd reason, is also immune to dying via poison and disease. However, this ability doesn’t protect him from getting injured.
•Shapeshifting - From human form to merfolk form. Tidus is able to switch between a fully clothed human form meant for land and his merfolk form which is meant for the water. However, merfolk are unable to shift from one form to the other should they end up being wounded.
• Spellcasting (Magic) - Basically Magic. It has various weaknesses depending on the kind of magic and different elements are effective against one another. For example, Fire magic is rather effective on ice magic but it is beaten by Water Magic. Similarly, light magic and dark magic are weak to one another. Also, not casting a spell correctly can lead to some disastrous consequences.
• The ability to breathe underwater (PASSIVE ABILITY)
•Weapon Summoning - The user is able to summon weapons from a pocket dimension that acts as a storage space for them. Currently, the only weapon type that Tidus is able to summon from that are swords.
Abilities:
•Tsunami - The user summons a massive wave of water to attack their foes with. This ability is most often used by sea dragons and Leviathan herself although Tidus is able to use it as well.
•Energy Rain: This attack requires for Tidus to jump off of an enemy or an object into the air where he then charges mystical energy into his sword before throwing down said energy to explode on his foes (ACTIVE ABILITY) (Only usable in human form)
• Blitz Ace - Probably his most notable ability, this ability also requires the use of mobility since Tidus slices at his enemy eight times before using the hilt of his sword to leap into the air before he kicks a Blitzball into his target which… explodes on impact. This ability isn’t powerful enough to destroy a mountain but it can cause a lot of damage. (ACTIVE ABILITY) (Usable in both forms although in his merfolk form, he swims upwards instead of using the hilt of his sword to leap into the air and smacks the exploding blitzball into his opponent by using his tail.)
