Public Service Announcement: Roleplay is a hobby about writing, but further about writing together. This means that communication is critical. Be sure to express yourself politely to new acquaintances

Public Service Announcement: When you DM someone for an RP, show interest beyond just a hello and an offer. Offer what interested you, and perhaps something to work with beyond just stating interest.

Public Service Announcement: Please remember that this is a "give and take" hobby. We are here to write, read, and be read. All three parts are important. If you want to be read, then you should read.

Bio

I'm a generally chill gomboblin that can be kinda particular. I grew up with plenty of electronics and video games, mostly with games like Final Fantasy, Zelda, and StarCraft. Lots of Nintendo. Dark Cloud is pretty sick. That's a lot of variety, and I do like to play a lot of different games. I like to blend magic and technology in my writing, bringing fantasy into space and sci-fi.

Magic in space is something that I find isn't done very much. Airships and spaceships could make for some cool centerpieces. Skies of Arcadia did a fantastic job of this. Perhaps that's not in space, exactly, but it's pretty close. Some of those ships may as well be space ships.

Regan frowned softly, considering Akira for a moment. She seemed eager to prove her worth here, yet was that really her goal? She spoke of an inheritance, though she didn't seem excited for it. She continued to speak of her skill, and perhaps there was something to back up her talk after all... but even if her last comment was in jest, it spoke to her impatience. If she was even going to consider letting this girl on the team, there was a lot of work to be done. First, she would have to temper her eager attitude with patience.

"The tournament will not take place today, and I won't make you show up for practice. However, if you win your place on the team, I'll be needing you to show up to at least three practices a week." Perhaps she could find someone among the first years good enough to teach the girl a bit of humility, too. That would come out in the tournament, most likely.

More than that, something about this girl's attitude was grating. But what, exactly? She would have to figure that out in time... and determine whether it was something she'd have to deal with on a personal scale, or if it would have something to do with the club. She had a hunch it was Akira's attitude toward Kendo, but she'd have to consider it more carefully.

"But, since you're so eager... Kasumi. Show me what Akira-kouhai's made of."

A second year, who had been showing some of the first years around and answering questions and such, acknowledges and goes to put on her gear. She emerges again, shortly, prepared and with a shinai. She proceeds to their mock match court, waiting for Akira before she'd move to the standing bow location and bow, then take three steps and ready her stance, just like she might in an official tournament.
Solya looked over her shoulder and sighed softly, shaking her head. It was good they could remain so light-hearted, at least. After a moment or two, emergency lights within the building flicker on, slowly, as though they'd never been activated in many, many years. It was a surprise they still worked. "... Emergency lights? Alright, girls, I need you to stick together. Keep your fairies close. I'm going to make sure the other students are ok."

Lumina departs and joins Solya at her side as she strides away. "Solya. They're here."

"Had a feeling." She sighs and, once out of sight, forms a weapon of magic in her hand. A scythe made of light. She arrives on the scene as the two fairies are ensnared. She jumps to action, severing the connection to the wind fairy, but not the electric. The electric fairy is pulled away, as though by a tether, before she can sever the connection. "Tsk."

"Aah, a warrior presents herself? How quaint..."

"I'll rescue your fairy. Go meet up with the others and get everyone outside, understand?" Solya positions herself between the girls and the armored man, standing straight with her scythe of light in her right hand. The captured fairy is slowly being corrupted.
Hmm... Think I'll post again, I guess.
Someone should post. = 3= Moon, go! *throws into a wrestling ring*
From the standpoint of a GM, I would say that, as long as no two or three people run away with the whole thing, it should be fine.

But it's not my thread, either way. = 3=

I had the impression you two had wandered off out of sight.

And what animes are these gifs from, anyway?
The little woman nods and follows the priestess as she finds herself a seat. She pulls bandages from her small supply pack, which she had picked up from where she dropped it nearby, and tenderly takes Hanami's arm once she has herself a seat. She staunches any bleeding with a gentle application of Ki and dresses it carefully, using a previously prepared mix of herbs.

"Are you not able to heal your own wounds, Hanami-san? If that's the case, it's very important you not be injured. You should be more careful." She only speaks out of concern, of course. "It would be disastrous if you received an injury none of us could treat fully or properly." Once she's done applying the herbal mix, she carefully wraps the injury. "Is this too tight?" She makes sure it's snug, but tries not to cut off circulation. A tricky balance for one not used to dressing wounds, hopefully Hanami would be able to advise her well on any adjustments necessary to the tension.
But you know where it /has/ been 48 hours? *pumps shotgun* And then some, even. With empty promises, to boot.
"Just because I can braid hair doesn't... mmn, nevermind." Regan sighs softly and shakes her head, though one of the girl's following comments caused her to frown. "You're a first year, too, aren't you?" She looked at the girl sternly, disapproving. "Your pride will crush you."

With that, she went to go deliberate on their lineup for competition. To decide on which first years to include, she decides to hold a small tournament, to find the strongest first year. While making up the tournament list, she frowns softly. Akira seemed fairly determined to get some sparring in, and it was difficult to determine how serious she was about it. "Akira-kouhai. We're going to hold a tournament among the first-years, to decide who will be placed among our regulars. If you win, I expect you to take this on with dedication. Did you want to participate?"
