Look at you posers, having to bang dragons or sell your soul for magic when you could just play a lute for some. Anyways, here's Wonderwall. - Bards
@Masaki Haruna Wouldn't aerokinesis user be able to sense other people based on the "wind" they give off, thus being less likely to be caught off guard? Or should that be something limited to higher levels (lvl 4+)?
wait, can you have multiple characters at once or are you allowed to only have one since I kinda want to also RP as a another one of my OC whose level 4/level 5 candidate who can control wind/air.
Tall and very handsome, he also slick black hair that is combed back. Has exotic blue eyes from his father. However, he has an air of mysterious, interesting and secretive.
Name: Anderson, Jistudan (アンダーソン, お金) Nickname: Anderson (preferred name), Blackjack Magic Name: Aurium078, the sun that never sets of the frozen world Position: Skill-Out (He’s the leader of a gang that isn’t really part of Skill-Out, but this is the closest I could get it) Seat Number: 7 Nationality: Half American, Half Japanese Age: 17 Gender: Male Bloodtype: A-
Biography: Born to an American gang leader and a Yakuza princess, Anderson’s life has but full of crime and sin since he was born. Raised in Las Vegas for the first half of his life, he has learned how to gamble and cheat like it’s the back of his hand. At the age of eight, his father was killed in a street fight against a rival gang and Anderson was smuggled away to Japan where he was to live with his mother.
Although she is a tough Yakuza princess whose beauty betrays her intentions, she is very motherly towards Anderson and very supportive in his goals. She taught him how to fight and how to shoot a gun amongst other skills like coercion. When Anderson started to build his own criminal empire, his mother granted him a pocket watch that was actually a magical device, making become a magician in a way.
Anderson has recently transferred into Academy City for two reasons: 1)to make money off of the naïve students of the city and 2) to grow his criminal empire. He cannot be touched by Judgement and Anti-Skill after he successfully blackmailed the heads of each organization, much to the annoyance of the law enforcement. Although he is leader of a criminal gang, his actions are fairly tame considering the actions of other gangs, mostly staying in the realm of blackmail, information dealing and fraud.
Personality: While acting antagonistic, Anderson is a good person at heart, always making sure his gang’s member are happy, he does legitimately care for even the people around him as long as they are not openly hostile although he will often cover up his kindness with some dark excuse. He is incredibly charismatic and gladly exploits it to his advantage in gaining people’s trust. He also tends to be secretive, always having an ulterior motive that no one can quite pick out and headstrong/cocky as if he controls the world (which in some aspects he does).
Likes: Exploitation Gambling Toying with law enforcement Occasional Anarchy Information
Dislikes: Pointless and long explanations Arrogant and boastful people Bloody murder Harming of people under his control Fried Dumplings
Skills: Anderson is incredibly intelligent and charismatic and thanks to his informant network, he has dirt on just about everyone. He is well versed in business and manipulation with smuggling an easy task. He is also a surprisingly good shot with a pistol and quite deadly with a knife.
Magic:Time Slow: The power that is embedded in the pocketwatch he got from his mother; the world moves to the beat of Anderson, allowing him to move at normal speed while everything else is slowed, giving the impression he is moving faster. It can only be to slow a maximum of thirty minutes a day and rests at midnight. Dispute its potency, Anderson tends not to use this very often in favor of more traditional “methods”.
Extras: - His name in Japanese can either mean "Money" or "Live Ammunition", fitting considering his line of work. - His weapons of choice are a Beretta Raffica and a butterfly knife with a combat knife-styled blade - The name of the gang he leads is “Coercion” and it deals in information trading and its large informant network. Anderson claims he has agents everywhere, even in Judgement and Anti-Skill but as no one has proven it. Either that or his agents are really just as good as he claims. - He is noted to be both an excessive gambler and really lucky, so he wins nearly all his bets.
Just finished adding a huge chunk to my nation sheet, I only now realized how much of my life and love I've sunk into it. Part of me asks "What am I doing with my life?" and the other part says "Happily living a no-life."
I feel that I must agree with the second part completely.
I thought something while making the economics section of my nation sheet and then looking at other people's rolls. About the "unique resources" thing, does it mean that only that nation will produce dye, incenses, etc. or does it mean they simply make it better? Since if that is the case, I'd like to propose an easy system of grading trade goods:
- Unique Grade: This is meant for the nations "unique resources", they are generally more expensive but they are great at what they do (ie high quality timber allows you to make better quality ships)
- Quality Grade: A middle ground between quality and quantity, items aren't too expensive but they aren't quite as good as Unique grade items (ie Excellent grade Critus will make your navies more combat effective by 10% (just a number) while Unique grade citrus boosts it by 20%)
- Standard Grade: The cheapest quality but not exactly "state-of-the-line", Standard Grade is meant for times where mass production is need and quality isn't (ie you need metal for troops, but you don't have too much of your own so you import tons of cheap metal to armor you men quickly)
The system also would allow people to have otherwise unique resources in their own lands, but of less quality so there is still value in trading for someone's timber even if you have your own. Nations who don't have to money to spend on high quality resources can trade for lesser grades of the same thing to save money. It would also allow people to trade goods that are typically associated with the culture they use as inspiration so a France-inspired nation could still have wine even if their neightbors have that as their unqie resource but they do not. Also, how big is the list for unique resources? Looking at the rolls it seems to be fairly small seeing as how many peopple either share or flat out have the same unique resources across the board. (Dyes and textiles seem to be pretty common for "unique" resource)
I just added more spoilers to my sheet for organization and explained the general military tactics used. Perhaps I'm putting too much love into this sheet, because it's already taken me a few days and I'm only about halfway done.
Welcome to the team then, after joining yesterday, I've already created a beast of a nation sheet on a word doc that's longer than any of the essays I've had to write. Then again, it doesn't help I'm creating detail tabs that describe in detail the religion, military logistic, agriculture, etc. I think this is just something imgainative people tend to do when they're meet with something of interest and its also the reason I enjoy making OCs and nations :3
@Spartan2961 AN idea that I came up for that is that one of the anamatronics will seem less hostile (not apparent at first) and will usually only full on attack the group when with another anamatronic. Eventually, through security camera footage, that anamatronic seems to sit down more and ignore the fact they are being watched by cameras while the others will actively notice or "troll" the cameras.
This could lead to an event which that anamtronic will try to "warn" the group when another anamtronic is coming or will attempt to "hide" certain members if they are cornered.
