"I'll see what I can think up for a cooling system, for now I'll start in on setting up the backpack. You get any ideas, shout em out"

Brick cracked open the backpack and dumped the ammo belts out onto a nearby workstation.
'Separate and set those up for sale in the shop later' he thought. He stole a glance at the Power Converter blueprints to check the measurements.
"Ok depth is fine, more than enough length, but that width.... hmmm" he muttered aloud "Gotta cut some space here, and here, heat sink's ok...."

His body took over at that point, going through the motions he'd been performing for years. His mind turned inward.

'Three sets of wiring, where does the catalyst spark come from though? Battery cell plus a switched fuse? Could work, given I limit the cell to 2.7 volts....
@CloseEnough @Sohtem

Brick stepped forward and cleared his throat.

"Don't mean to interrupt your conversation there Aurora, but I wanted to run this by you before I got too ahead of myself. So first, a quick recap, Fuago is only gonna work if we can harness the energy of the fusion core and utilize a Tesla Power Converter to maintain that energy flow until the door is open, correct? So we could try and cram the Tesla Converter into Fuago's casing, but I was worried about overheating, so I grabbed one of these" He held up the backpack of a minigun and continued "We clean the ammo out of one of these, and with a few slight modifications, it can be used as a housing unit for the Tesla Converter and all the wiring and stuff we'll need to hook in and get this fine lady working"

'I'm gonna have to tell her' Brick thought 'There's no way I can get away with my "Forge's assistant" story and pull off what I'm about to do with Fuago. I'll wait until we're alone though, no need to spread the secret all around'
@Sohtem @CloseEnough

As he waited for Aurora and Reese to finish their conversation, Brick started thinking of ideas to streamline Fuago's operation while maximizing ease of access and portability. A mounting system would certainly be effective, but it would hinder their ability to move it around the vault door, forcing them to rely on the operator's aim to perfectly canvas the doorway. No, that wouldn't do at all. Either way, it was gonna be a heavy load to carry, so maybe.....

I got it!
@Sohtem

Brick spoke as he gathered up Energy Cells, Microfusion cells, and Electron Charge Packs for the Fuago.
"Well the girl is back in the workshop there, we're working on a project together, can't let ya back there though, my boss would kill me if he found out. I can ask her if she'd speak to you for a minute. And the man just stepped out on the porch there, so I guess you could speak to him. As for your requests, we can take care of all of that for ya. I think that would fall under specialty work, but we'll see what Forge says when he gets workin' on it. We run a promotion with the little inn down in the barn there. The lady down there, Angie, will give ya a bed for the night and a meal for free, if you want to take advantage of that, I can get you a voucher. And, other than that, we're about done here. Payment is only accepted after the work is done. Sorry to have to run off like this, lots of work going on here right now. Me or one of my guys will track you down when its ready. I do have one last question for you, does this weapon have a name? And I'll just get you to hold on for a second while I go speak to her, just knock on the door here if I don't come back out in a few minutes. Excuse me"

@CloseEnough

Brick opened up the door to the workshop, entered, and closed it up again behind him. He set the ammo supply down on an adjacent workbench and then turned to speak to Aurora "So now we've got everything we need. Might be a long night, but Fuago is going to be a beast once we get her all rigged up" As he spoke, Brick was desperately trying to think up some kind of story to justify his skills, but nothing came to him, so he resigned to the fact he'd have to spill his secret for the second time that day.

"There's something I wanted to tell you before we got started, but I can't say it unless you promise me you can keep a secret. We can deal with that before we actually start working, because there's another thing: the guy out there says he was travelling with you? Wanted to say thanks or something? I mean, you seemed a little freaked out there, so I understand if you don't wanna speak to him, but I can crack open the door long enough for you two to speak"
@Sohtem @CloseEnough

"I'm sure we can help you out, got some ammo of all kinds here" Brick started "As for the repair and maintenance work, we can do that too, only real question I gotta ask is what level of service would you need on it, just a basic touch-up, or a full premium service, in which we polish up everything and replace what's needed with top shelf, sometimes custom made parts. Maybe you want something in between? All the prices are on the Service board there. I'll give you a second to mull it over while I check in with those two in back"

SERVICES
Basic Maintenance - 25-50 caps
Complete Maintenance - 100-150 caps
Repairs/Replacements - 75-150 caps
Specialty Work - 100-200 caps
Premium Service - 200+ caps (Top shelf/custom parts. Complete Maintenance Job, plus free ammo top-off)
(Prices do not include labor costs)

Brick slipped into the workshop "Ok great you're all set up. Why don't you grab a screwdriver and start taking the back off the Tesla Pack, so we can get at it's meaty insides. As for you Chase, I know it's not my place to order you around, but I wanna ask you a question. You seem like you know your way around a weapon, and this morning, there was an.... incident. I... I mean Forge killed a customer over a payment dispute. We have reason to believe that the customer was a Raider, and he might have friends out there looking for revenge. I've got my guys keeping an eye on the town's perimeter, and there's a few OBR Riflemen in town who'll pitch in if they attack, but I could really use someone on guard duty on the porch outside. There's no saying when they'll attack, if they even exist, but I'd rather be safe than sorry. I'll finish up with my customer out there, grab the ammo we'll need, then I'll be right back"

He came back out and spoke to Reese "So, you have any ideas?"
@Sohtem @CloseEnough

Had to go back in and edit that post because I didn't see CloseEnough's edit.
@CloseEnough

"Ok, hold on folks, let's calm down a bit. Aurora, I'll tell you what, we can even use Forge's workshop, it's just there through the door, you can head on in there" He pointed to the door, then turned to Chase "Here, you wanna carry this stuff in there, just set it on the main workbench, its right in front of you soon as you head in, can't miss it"

@Sohtem

Brick walked towards the other person who had followed them to the shop and spoke up.
"Hey there" Brick piped up "Welcome to Forge's, I'm Brick, anything I can help you out with?"
@Gurren1 @CloseEnough

Yeah, I figured we'd all be hooking up soon to really get things rolling, thought that opening the Vault would be a good way to kick it off. Only other thing in my mind being the raiders allied with Hardy, 5-10 or so, attacking Davenport in the late night, with all of us who are gathered there fighting them off before travelling out to the vault.
@CloseEnough

Brick chuckled to himself, enjoying the banter between the two. He was curious to see what kind of behemoth lay beneath the covering, if what they were saying were correct, Fuago was going to be quite the sight when it was finished.

"You can set her down on the table. I'll grab the parts we need and see what we can do for ya" Brick moved behind the counter and slipped into the workshop. He fished around for some circuit boards, and then dashed back across the room to pick up an arc welder and tesla pack.

He stepped back into the main room, carrying the goods.

"Here's everything like I said you'd need. Ammo and stuff are in the cabinet there, don't know what you already have access to, but everything is here. We can talk price later, but for now, you want some help puttin all that together? Forge is out for the night, so unless customers come by, I haven't got anything to do tonight"
Brick's eyes lit up when she told him who she was.

'Aurora, pretty name' he thought.

"Nice to meet you" He said. He waited until her companion had gotten her settled away before speaking again.

"Yeah, we've got all the parts you'll need inside here" He thought it'd be rude to ask about the chair, so instead he turned to speak to the red-headed "trader"

"You need some help lifting her up onto the porch?"
