The Hero has betrayed us

Feon had just entered the small Village of Lemhard. It was a village that was already destroyed by the Hero, or atleast the inhabitants were killed many of them now walking around as undead. It seemed that Tyrant had obtained a new power in the way of necromancy. Many of the towns inhabitants were seemingly guarding the center of the town.

"You better not be lying about this Rem." Feon said to a seemingly invisible force. She waited for a moment as if hearing the answer the turning her attention towards a statue in the middle of the town. Feon had realized long ago that there was no way for her to defeat the Tyrant on her own. Atleast not without help. So as a way to find help she had spread a rumor about there being a way to defeat the tyrant in the middle of this town.

Feon gave a sigh when she felt a hand on her shoulder. She turned to see a single undead lightly brushing against her, then realize that she was living and attempted to attack her. Feon got into a fighting stance with a fist held up glowing with holy light. She reared her hand back then threw a punch into the undead's stomach sending it flying into a bench near by.

Thankfully none of these undead had the capacity in them to help each other so Feon's action when largely ignored.

That's pretty mundane, but I wasn't expecting anything outlandish like him to walk around as some hybrid all the time.

I'm guessing that the inherent light/Holy power of his Angel parent and darkness/Demonic power of his Demon parent cancel each other out, but do they completely neutralise each other (so he has no alignment to either side) or are they in a state of balance (in which he has both Holy and Demonic powers that he can use separately but not at the same time)?

The latter has more narrative potential, but I understand if the former is simpler.

They would cancel each other out I'm afraid, But... I would allow mini wings that are useless if you like, The idea is that the union of an angel and a demon is what created the human race

@Cuccoruler I probably didn't gave enough detail or I haven't expressed myself properly.

She is useless in combat for a few minutes ( aka incapacitated ) that doesn't mean she can re-use the ability after those minutes pass.

Nevertheless I added this to the ultimate ability description : " After she uses the ability, she needs to wait a day before she can use it again. "

Alexis Shadowborn

Appearance:

Shadow Form

Name: Alexis Shadowborn
Age: 21 ( she looks 21 but as she was merged with the Shadow she stopped aging. She is technically 90 years old )
Gender: Female
Race: Shadowborn ( The Shadowborn are half-human, half-shadow creatures )
Personality: Bi-polar. Can either try to kill someone for the pleasure of doing so or save that person because she just feels like it.
Alignment: Walking the line ( Neutral )
Class: Illusionist-Rogue
Equipment: Two shadow swords that have a small chance to pass through solid matter

Powers: 1. Shadowshift : Alexis is able to change from a human form to a shadow form at will. Making her faster, stronger and more resilient to damage.
2. Phase : In her shadow form, Alexis is able to phase through matter making her "ethereal" ( she cannot attack but she cannot be attacked also )
3. Shadow Illusion : In her shadow form, Alexis can make two copies of herself to confuse attackers. The copies cannot deal damage.
4. Shadow Shift : In her shadow form, Alexis changes shape into a living wall of shadow capable to stop most damage but too much damage put on the wall, will inflict damage on Alexis.
5. (Ultimate Ability) Merge : In her shadow form, Alexis completely disappears and merges with an enemy. She then takes control of the enemy and can kill him using his body. An enemy with strong willpower is harder/impossible to control but even those need to take a few seconds/minutes to fight her off. Alexis is weakened after the merge and can be useless in combat for a few minutes. This is a last stand ability that she doesn't enjoy using. After she uses the ability, she needs to wait a day before she can use it again.

History: Alexis doesn't know much about her place of birth. She knows she was once a human, like any other. A thief. She long heard rumors about a distant temple that housed the greatest treasures, anyone has seen.
Like many others before her, she tried her luck at stealing the treasures within the temple. No one ever came back and that would raise questions in anyone but Alexis. She was determined that she would be the first to succeed what other failed. After 3 years of constant traveling throughout the lands, searching for the hidden temple...she finally found it but when she finally arrived, she knew something was wrong. There were no guards, no treasure, nothing...except a small ring in the middle of what looked like a sacrificial chamber and a lot of skeletons. Deciding that no matter what, she wouldn't return empty handed home...she touched the ring and that was her final mistake. Shadows emerged from the ring and entered Alexis and she doubled up in pain and screamed for what it seemed like hours and then she fell unconscious.
For two weeks, she stood there on the ground. Not moving, breathing or anything like that but when she did...she knew something was wrong, different. Not longer a human, not a shadow but both. Human and shadow.
Most of her life after that she herself doesn't remember. The shadow taking away her mind while she could barely control her own body. For 60 years, she stood in the temple. Guarding it, as if there was anything valuable inside. After the first 50 years, thieves stopped coming as the rumors of " The Shadow Woman " started spreading as wildfire between thieves and would-be thieves.
After some time she left the temple. Seeing the world, she left behind.
Now, in control of her mind and body, Alexis wanders the lands searching for others like her. Other touched by the Shadows themselves.
The Demon Lord got her attention as The Hero, rose up to fight him. She found this funny, because how can a mere human fight a Demon ? But when the Hero defeated the Demon Lord and took his place, Alexis's smile faded. She knew that the Hero will conquer and destroy her hopes of finding others like herself.

I would say accepted, however I would like the ultimate ability cool down to be that of an entire day instead as a few minutes is far to simple for an attack like that.

@Cuccoruler I was thinking of doing a character with a mixed race (Half-Angel, Half-Demon), but I wanted to swing the concept past you first.

His class would be a mix of a Mage or Exorcist and a Ronin

No, If he has parents that are angel and demon then he must be human. Simply put angel+Demon= Human.

So I was bored, found a thing, inspired me to do a thing that was based on a thing from someone's cs here

Class: Angel of Retribution
Equipment/powers: While not as powerful as an angel of war or death might be, Tabris is still a force to be reckoned with, wielding both blade an magic with seemingly limitless stamina and power and with unmatched strength and speed. Armed with a powerful twin-forked spear and often using her wings in combat her relentless strikes often come from a large and unexpected variety of angles, making her an extremely hellacious opponent.

Tabris wears a simple yet highly resilient set of armor and though it does not cover her wings they are remarkably resistant to physical punishment. Her spear amplifies her power and she often throws a duplicate of it made entirely from divine light, though she prefers much closer combat.

History: Though she was among the those looking on from the heavens Tabris' attention was never on the Hero that had been blessed to challenge the Demon Lord. No, she was focused elsewhere, to the town and villages ravaged by the Lord's legions. She appeared to a guardsman as he fled from the remains of his village, She gave him a gift, a slightly weaker replica of her own spear and a small fraction of her power, and commanded him to turn around and destroy the monsters that had been assaulting his home.

She continued to look on as the man became a hero in his own right, not nearly as grand as the Hero of Legend but he protected many small towns and travelers from demon attacks, at least until his defeat at the hands of one of the demons she'd set him against. It was an end Tabris had to have known was coming but she still found it nonetheless infuriating. And so, angered by the death of her champion and the perversion of her gift, she descended for a second time to personally bring her retribution to the demon that slew her Hero.

I love character, however in order to make things a bit better, I would suggest a rule that angels cannot have wings while on earth so no wings. Also due to anatomy reasons their bones will be hallow so breaking of bones will be much easier

The demon to human ratio should be not even close to equal, in my opinion.

My impression of this roleplay when I expressed interest wasn't "Demon Adventures: And Humans Tag Along Too", it was that we would have a mixed cast of races that would each bring something unique to the table and we would use our combined skills to overcome a far superior foe.

But what do I know? I am just a humble tomato, after all. Squish.

Out of the total cast we have there is one confirmed demon and two pending. Over all that would make a ratio of about 3 to 6, if we include the dead demon then it is about 4(1 confirmed demon, two pending, one dead) to 6. I do not want half of them to be demons either, but the ratio isn't that bad at the moment.

Also after reevaluating how many demon characters there actually are I am fine with an extra demon character so that is open again.
