Eh, Asuras put quite a bit of effort into the CS, and went into depth about his species. I'm ok with accepting him... Though, we'll wait until Grey and Lucius log on. Just finished one of today's tests... three more to go. *Sigh* May coffee save me.

I'm sure Grey and Lucius will agree with you two. I just want to make sure everyone is on board. Aww, poor Jed. It's Friday, hang in there.

I did speak to Jed, but... I'll edit my post, since I didn't actually get the other GMs' votes. I'm super sorry!

Oh. Don't feel bad, hun! We all make mistakes ! I just wanted to check with everyone first so that we're on the same page due to limited spaces. c:

Sauron, I think we have to look over yours, but we'll get back to you ASAP.

Accepted! Welcome aboard, Aurus!

Uhh. Green, did you consult with Grey, Jed or Lucius? I haven't checked yet myself, but I think we are voting on character sheets.

Well i don't know how to extrapolate onto a "Quiet" personality. Quiet, doesn't make noise, doesn't communicate often. i don't see the point of complicating an aspect as self explanatory as that. And just because my CS bio isn't "completely fleshed out doesn't mean that its an act of no effort. It was done that way because the OP specifically asked for. Of course i had plans to flesh it out once the RP got going and the need arose. I don't get this. Why ask for things you don't actually want.

If you're going to continue, then we can reject your Character Sheet. It's not that hard to write out a personality, I'm sorry, that was a mistake on my behalf, but there's absolutely no reason to continue on with it. Fix it, don't. We have enough people who want to join, but we'd rather help you so that you're accepted. If you're going to whine about it, we'll gladly reject you and move on.

The mistake was mine and I didn't edit it PRIOR to putting in Casual due to personal issues. The Mods have the same power I do and if you do not comply with a request, well, then that's an issue, isn't it?

Are you going to fix it or continue with this tirade? Choice is yours.

Edit: We aren't saying you didn't put effort into it. We're saying that it doesn't meet our standards and we have rules that are to be followed. If we let you slide, we'll let others slide and it'll become a trainwreck eventually. And we aren't telling you to discard it either -- we want to help you expand it. That's it.

You should shove that in the OP, Cyn

Just did. Sorry, been running around all day and I didn't get the chance to look over the Character Sheet before the transfer. This was entirely on me. It's fixed now. Let me know if there is any other errors in the first post itself.
For the people who keep asking, I'm going to make this short and simple:

We do not know if there is room or not. This is a transfer from a Roleplay that was going to exist in Free, but was moved up for more standards. We aren't quite sure how many people are going to follow us, but there's already almost 19 or so characters accepted, so do not ask if there is room. The status is unknown for a reason, but it is technically "open" until Saturday. I can't guarantee how many spaces are open or if anyone is going to be accepted right now.

Do not post a character sheet if you are not going to put any effort into it. What counts as effort? Descriptions that are more than one word/sentence, proper grammar, etc. If English is not your first language, that's understandable, but please run your post through a spell-check in English to assist you. Due to crammed spots, we'll be forced to turn down multiple character sheets.

This does not mean to not send in a character sheet period, we're keeping our minds open until this weekend, so if you're going to put the effort in and not drop out, we'll be more than likely to look over your request. Be patient as this Roleplay is a bit of a mess right now and we're still working it out. Thank you very much.
If you're interested in following us to our upgrade, please follow us here. Higher standards will be put in place with much more expected, but if you're willing to take the challenge and put the extra effort into it, then sign-ups will be closed ultimately on Saturday.

People will be able to repost their CSes if they made the new Mod's list, since I won't ask for this thread to be deleted until Saturday. Thanks for everyone who showed interest and I apologize for this change.

Roleplay Information

GMs: Cynder, Grey & Lucius Cypher.
Co-Mod(s): greennhorn & Jedly.
Level: Mid-Casual.
Status: Closed and currently not accepting.

Introduction
The year is 2066.

It has been exactly twenty years since two parallel, yet unseen worlds, finally made contact with one another. It has been officially nineteen years since these worlds viewed and respected each others differences and soon, it'll be time for the 19th anniversary of peace between this two extremely different worlds. After the very fabric of time and space split, Lucis and Earth, forever separated, become through a massive wormhole in the sky.

This wormhole, dubbed by common tongue as the "Black Gale" is home to miles of unexplored wilderness and the infamous "mysterious labyrinths" which are known for appearing randomly, spawning a number of monsters and always changing in design when entered. In order to combat the threat of wildlife, labyrinths and even potential war between the two worlds, a number of academies have begun to pop up all over the areas of the Black Gale currently inhabited by humans.

These academies vary by location, but all have the same general concept -- "the end result is peace." Each school takes a variety of races from both worlds and by allowing them to co-exist and learn from each other, students work together towards graduation. Upon graduation, students are officially recognized as "Gatekeepers", an honor by any form of government and realized by both worlds to be enforcers of law, peace and overall, protection.

You are one of these students. Perhaps you are ordinary or extremely gifted, good with technology, magic, alchemy or people. Either way, you've been chosen by the headmaster of one academy in particular -- the Academy of The Arcane Artes. It is unknown as to why students are chosen, but the academy itself is outstanding by standards with high graduation and some of the most famous Gatekeepers are known to have graduated from there.

That being said, the option is yours to take.

Will you accept the offer?

The Worlds
To be determined by the members of the Roleplay.

The Academy
To be updated over the course of time. In the meantime, enjoy your uniforms that just recently arrived in the mail -- just in time for the first day.

The Letter
The letter is received at the same time for every student. It is dropped nearby the student (such as a windowsill) by a raven, black as night. It can appear during the night, day, afternoon or elsewise. Should you be a second year student and so on, you receive a variation of this letter that is simply updated information about you. After this letter is received by the academy, you are to receive a uniform bearing the academy's crest with the choice of a cloak or coat.

There is a sheet attached that is required for you fill out. When filling it out, please delete all brackets, thanks guys!

Rules
1.) You may have as many characters as you'd like and/or can handle.
2.) If you have any questions, please leave them in the thread, PM me or visit our chat. You may also request my Steam or Skype.
3.) If I am gone for several days, any GMs or Co-Mod(s) remaining are left in charge of the thread. You do not need to wait for me.
4.) Shouldn't be too much of an issue, but there is to be absolutely no powerplaying, metagaming or godmodding allowed.
5.) Avoid speedposting. There will not be a posting order, however, I do not want two pages between the same two people.
6.) Respect Co-Mods, they have all the same powers as GMs. You may speak to me if you wish to be a Co-Mod.
7.) No smut is permitted, anything past hugs and kisses is either "fade to black" or take to PMs.
8.) You may attack another player's character, however, you cannot kill them without permission.
9.) You'll receive a warning if you start drama outside of the Roleplay: first one to start, first one out.
10.) If a troll appears, feel free to poke at it, but don't feed it. Do not be a troll yourself.
11.) Not a rule, but I'd love to see some character development, plot twists, proper grammar and so on.
12.) You may not control another person's character without their permission.
13.) Have fun and enjoy yourself!

I have mad my stance on the Dev-Journalist relationships clear before. But I will say this aswell. Now it has another huge problem, it is no longer able to operate as "free press" becouse if its content is not to the liking of a organized digital mob, it is bound to come under attack. Its revenue streams get cut off. Journalism does not get to evolve to something higher, and now there will be a toxic cloud looming over anyone daring to critizing 'gamers. You call it dishonest, but organized campaings to shut off journalists for critizing you makes you a bully and a tyrant. You now have a group, who has enough pull to attack and damage its own critics. That is in itself, a form of powerabuse, a form of corruption. It's a unchecked powerhouse. And I am sorry if that offends any GG supporter, as I know there are good people who huddle behind that very hashtag. But its not proving any of your critics wrong, when you attack them. It's confirming their fears of being bullied for their opinion. You are sending a message "If we don't like your opinion, we are shutting you down." There is no longer any attempts at open, proper debate. Its two side slugging it out in a dirtier and dirtier fight. Some called it a consumers revolution. I call it lobbyist. GG is a private interest group for disgruntled gamers. Actively suppressing opinion they do not approve of.

As someone who supports #Gamergate, I entirely agree with you. It is nothing more than a toxic movement, it's returned bullying in a way. As many "gamers" have tolerated hatred for mostly being "cis, white and male" (this is actually true by the way, as someone who used to use Tumblr myself) from people similiar to Zoey Quinn and her supporters, it's no surprise that they'd lash back. However, despite the mistreatment, it does not justify their actions in any way.

Ooh, a hashtag. That's kind of neat, I guess.

But at the end of the day, it's not really making much of a difference. At least that's what I think, anyway.

Hey there, just wondering, are you still accepting? Because I just found this and am very interested

Well, it depends. If you can write up to a casual thread standard, I believe we can have one or two more members join. In all honesty, we already have a huge cast as it is.

Jedly is right, we have a massive cast already. We are also transferring into Casual, if you feel that you can keep up and put extended effort compared to Free, then we would be more than willing to consider your request.
