Introduction
It's that time again - the time for the new moon and for a new story to begin. As a hero in this story, your destiny and soul mate await, however, you must choose which of two beginnings that you arrive from. Each grouping has its own lore, advantages and so on, so read carefully before trekking into the world of Luminescence!
Love Culture
As a human in Luminescence, there is only one way to stay in the fictional world if you wish: finding your one true love. And you are limited, especially in the source of time. You only have thirty days until the next Lunar Festival, thirty days until the next full moon – only thirty days until you are forced to return home if you don't fulfill the requirements. As tradition goes, once a creature or human find their one true love, a creature must ask a human for permission to perform the Lunar Dance with them, a dance that is performed at the monthly Lunar Festival – in order to seal their fate by binding. Binding does not necessarily mean marriage, but it does symbolize love and it officially makes the two a couple. It also allows a human to stay in Luminescence instead of returning to their real world. In order to marry, a human must offer the creature a tool of affection (it may vary from a ring, to a collar, it depends heavily on the creature's race) and propose to them from the Starry Crag. If the creature answers yes, then the two are able to hold a marriage ceremony and be bonded for life. In a couple, a creature generally protects the human. Creatures have access to animal forms, magic and various other attributes. A human generally wields a weapon to protect their lover in return. Couples choose their life after marriage, whether they'd like to have a home and "settle down" or travel the world: only the sky is the limit.
Improbi
An Improbous (or Improbi for plural) is a monster born from a human who refused to go home after failing to find true love. They are born of anger, hatred and betrayal. They appear like regular humans, but with a slightly deeper voice and dark as night aura. Because of their conditions of creation, they are far stronger than a regular human and have increased speed, strength and the ability to wield a weapon. Most are warned to avoid them – or kill them on sight.
Rules
  • All regular site rules apply, obviously.
  • You can have as many characters as you can handle, just don't expect all of them to get significant others.
  • Hugs, kisses, all of that is permitted. Anything past that stage is "fade to black" or taken to PMs.
  • Absolutely no meta-gaming, power-playing or godmodding is permitted. I will call you out on it if it happens.
  • No OOC drama is permitted. First one to start, first one to get kicked out. No warnings.
  • Do not force romance onto another player or their character.
  • I love enthusiasm! If it's tame. I don't want two pages between three players, so please don't speed post.
  • Fighting is permitted! But do not kill anyone without consent.
  • Third person, past tense, A+ grammar and spelling, a few sentences at least.
  • Roleplaying is a hobby, not a job. Have fun and if it is stressing you out, take a break or don't be ashamed to drop out.

Cast List
Ah, I'm not confident I can run a RP right now with school and everything going on otherwise I would. But I've bumped the general interest check--hopefully that'll help some.
Yeah, I feel you. I'll keep bumping it or so over the next week and see what happens at the very least.
Well, this RP isn't getting as much Interest as I'd hope. If you want, Kidd, you can take over. I have another RP I launched about a week ago that got way more interest and kind of have to focus on that one since there's a LOT of people interested. Unless we can bump the Interest Checks? I put one in each section with a link and still nothing. :c
\^-^/ Slendy's birth day is February 6th!!!!!!!
And we have another winner! Beating Melody by almost a week.
Question: What do you mean by "no super strange" powers? Like what is the limit on gifts, per say? I imagine that time control is automatically out of reach, considering the RP itself is centered around time-traveling.
We have a winner! Someone who finally beats me in term of birthdays that come first!
DID SOMEONE SAY TIMETRAVEL? Interested, tho.
"Helios. And it's Rhys. With a "y"," it was a mistake that almost everyone and their dead mother made: calling him "Reese" or "Reece" instead of the actual pronunciation. When he had met August for the deal, the guy made the same mistake. Now, come to think of it, he was probably after Sasha and Fiona's heads for the same reason that he and Vaughn would be if they had any power: the deal was still a con. The walk through the room was painfully slow, or at least it was for Rhys. The Joxter was meandering at an alarmingly slow rate, either to actually look at the art or just to screw with Rhys. Maybe both. Yeah, the third option seemed plausible. He'd go with that. The art itself seemed boring to Rhys -- most of it reminded him of Helios and the planets that surrounded it. Some of it seemed vaguely familiar, but there were so many planets in the galaxy and not enough time to care about all of them. What was so interesting about that to the Joxter anyway? Probably nothing. Rhys probably should've scanned the art when he had the chance, there was something suspicious about it to him. Instead, he paid attention as the Joxter tore apart an apple with a knife -- cutting it into eight slices. Then he commented about how "skilled" the artists were. Well, talent is one word that Rhys wouldn't particularly use, but sure, why not? "Yeah, they...," Rhys looked at the art again, "...were definitely bored." And the duo left it at that.
---
The Joxter stopped slicing the apple. Rhys noticed it too: the door covered in signs: DO NOT OPEN THIS DOOR. DO NOT OPEN THIS DOOR. DO NOT OPEN THIS DOOR. Well, at least their "host" wasn't very subtle about it. In a way, Rhys appreciated the bluntness. "Well, that makes one less door for us to have to entered," he commented looking at the others doors, now where to?
I'm not going to be able to GM this Roleplay, but if anyone wants it, I'm willing to hand it over to a capable GM. I may join myself, just not right.
