Alright, so the most BASIC form of bare bones is up. I'll be creating an OOC Chat for us to discuss ideas. You can find the OOC here.
Joining The Mission

In order to be accepted into the ranks of the Guild Future Society, there's a few questions that you must answer first. Answer them as clearly and honestly as possible without leaving any residue from the explanations that our recruiting officers have so kindly included for you. Please leave your information sheets in the OOC to be accepted by our ranks before placing them into our character tab. Thank you!

The Guild Future Society is aware that there are other gatherings as well. Instead of shunning and pushing these individuals away, however, compromises are being made and allegiances are being formed. Even if you have different end-goals than the Guild Future Society, you and your group members are still welcomed into their ranks as unity is key. However, records of your group is required to be fully recognized so in order to do so, please answer the following registration as clearly and honestly as possible.

Mission Board

General Interest Check

These are the current missions available in this Sector. Please be sure to state your mission Claim in the OOC so we can monitor who is with who and what they're doing. The bracketed text indicates the amount of players required for a Mission to start. They also indicate whether NPCs can be used in order to fill vacant mission Slots. Once the correct amount of slots have been filled, players may play out the mission however they see fit, so long as the Mission Objective is completed. It will be possible in later missions to fail an objective, which will result in new missions.

Please Note: Some missions may rely on, or crossover with, other missions. In this event, please mention everyone related to those missions in your posts so that no one misses out or becomes confused.

KBots! Come And Get Them!: The GFS Peacekeeper Forces are slowly being overrun from the KBot advance into General Interest after breaking through the Free Interest Section. The Brass have ordered a Defensive Checkpoint to be setup before the Guild Future Society HQ to stop the Bots from advancing any further. Fortunately, the streets grow narrow as they stretch toward the HQ Building, allowing for Peacekeeper Forces to mount a defensive stand at a crucial choke-point. It is your job to assist the Peacekeepers in holding the line until the Checkpoint can be set up. Once the signal has been given, you are to then fall back to the Checkpoint in order to make our last stand. Stand firm, hold your head high and remember, no heroics! (Min. 5 people required. NPCs allowed)

Our Checkpoint Will Blot Out The Sun: The order has been given from the higher ups to construct a Defensive Checkpoint in front of the Guild Future Society HQ. Whilst we already have engineers working on it, there a few sneaky KBots who have made it past our defensive lines. Your job is to protect our engineers at all costs whilst they complete works to the Checkpoint. Once the building work has been completed, you must give the signal for our soldiers to fall back, making sure their path is clear. From there we will show those Bots what it really means to fight in the shade! (Min. 3 people required. NPCs not allowed)

______________________________

Plugging Leaks: A new wave of KBots have broken through from the 1x1 Section. We need an assault team to go and meet this new threat head-on before we're completely overrun. If the KBots are allowed another route into this Section, they'll be no stopping them. It'll be your job to barricade that entrance point by any means necessary. Your team will be leading three other teams of Peacekeepers. Be sure to keep them alive, we'll need every pair of hands we can get if we're going to plug all of these leaks. (Min. 5 people required. NPCs allowed)

Claimed By: Matheu, Slendy

______________________________

Mopping Up: We've had a few KBot teams spill over into neighboring Sections, namely Casual Interest & Tabletop Interest. We need a small team to enter both of those Sections and hunt down those stray KBots like the dogs they are. Initial reports indicate little to no casualties but they are making one helluva mess. So grab the mop on this one, you're probably going to need it. (Min. 3 people required. NPCs not allowed)

The Situation

Please standby for an emergency broadcast. . .

It's been almost two years since the original Guildfall. It was the great hero, Mahz, who is credited with the success of The Great Revival of Guild City. Since then, the people of Guild City have lived in harmony and peace among the many sectors. Although the peace and harmony has been kept, there has been little mingling between the sectors. Among the sectors, people have created their own culture, conformity, rules and standards that they stick to. While the people in the Casual Sector smile and wave at the people who hail from the Advanced or Free Sector, there is an invisible barrier that has always divided them.

But you already knew that, didn't you?
You don't need a history lesson, you need to know what's in the present, what's in the now.
You need to know why this broadcast is being sent out and I'll make it clear to you:
We are in danger. We need unity. We need to win our future.
And that's why we exist. . to do just that. And that's why we need you.
So please, hear us out.

Within the recent past months, we have seen a shift in the atmosphere in Guild City. Like everything does, this also started out small. First, it began with the advertisements. Advertisements that flooded the sectors. Ones that we thought were paid for and in reality, weren't. Someone had hacked and overridden the servers for reasons that are still unknown to us. This was harmless at the time. . Then came the bots. Originally, it was only the FBots that attacked, they were considered small and little of a threat. They were weak, slow moving and not built to be long-lasting. They were quickly destroyed by those who kept peace in the sectors and were gone before long. By then, however, the Bot Killer Squad had already come into existence. People laughed that them, thinking they were taking the entire situation out of control. People from all sectors had the audacity to mock them.

That's because nobody knew it would get worse.

And then the KBots came. The KBots swooped into Guild City in hordes. They vary in size and are superior to the FBots. They are fast moving and merciless. And worse of all, they're the reason that millions have lost their homes, their lifestyles and for some, their lives. Sections of the sectors have been closed off and lost because of these KBots with people still trapped inside. And the KBots continue to make their advancements into the major sectors. And now, they threaten the lives of millions more. All of Guild City is in our danger. We are in a state of emergency waiting with our families and our lives. We are waiting for the end.

In our darkest hour, we stand divided. Our great hero, Mahz, has disappeared into the shadows and we cannot find him. In our darkest hours, we must come together. We must stand as one with our expertise and skills. Whether it'd be magic, weapons, technology or anything else, we welcome you into our ranks.

Guild City needs you and so do we.

This has been a broadcast commissioned by the Guild Future Society.

Guild City

After the success of the Great Revival, Guild City was built from the ashes once again. To prevent danger from ever touching the city ever again, it was created in a circular shape with walls separating each and every sector. It is General Interest Checks that is considered to be the exact center of the city and is believed to be the origin of the attacks.

The Future Guild Society has provided you with a helpful map in regards to Guild City and all of the recent Bot attacks. Each soldier will receive a map to keep as their own and thanks to recent advancements in magic and technology, each map will be able to update on its own.

The following key has been provided:
  • Red: This sector of the city has been overrun by bots.
  • Orange: This sector of the city is in danger of being overrun by bots.
  • Green: This sector of the city is currently safe from the threat of bots.

Each part of Guild City is divided into "sectors". There is a total of twenty-seven sectors in total. Being that the Future Guild Society is compromised of individuals from all sectors, the organization has taken the time to interview those from each sector and compile a list of information for those who aren't heavily educated on the matter. Said information can be found below.

Factions && Other Affiliations

Within the ranks of the Future Guild Society, many other groups, affiliations and factions can be found. While all of these groups may have different goals, origins and so on, they have all agreed to an alliance with the Future Guild Society. Whether you're already a member of one, looking to join up with one or are simply curious, the Future Guild Society has released all public records of these groups to you and your fellow soldiers. Said information can be found below.

  • The Bot Killer Squad - The "original" group dedicated to destroying the bots and keeping Guild City Safe. Led by Kurai.
  • Society Of The Evening Star - An organization with radical means that wants to abolish all inequalities. Led by Kilo Leon.
  • The OldFucks - An "ancient group" with no true purpose or goal. Has no defined leader.
  • The Order Of Mahz - Holy warriors, missionaries and educators dedicated to the great hero, Mahz. Led by Grand Master Clower Ekolis.
  • I.D.R.I.S - A covert organization that works "for the best interests" of Guild City. Their leader is unknown.
  • The O.R - Or Outcast Roleplayers. This is an organization that is simply a gathering of rejects trying to survive.

The Enemy

As we work together to dispel the enemy from Guild City once and for all, we need to know exactly who and what we are fighting. In order for all members to enter the fight as prepared as possible, the Future Guild Society has gathered the most available information at this time regarding the enemy. Said information can be found below.

The Guild Future Society Guidebook

In order to partake in the Guild Future Society's missions, there are a series of rules that you must agree to abide to. By agreeing to these guidelines, you are not only raising the chances of survival for yourself, but also for your fellow soldiers and the civilians of Guild City. Failure to follow these rules will lead to warnings or immediate termination of your alliance depending on the severity of the misconduct.

  • Absolutely no OOC drama is permitted. First one to start is the first one to get a kick.
  • All writing styles are welcomed! But please make sure that your post is legible. We wouldn't want any confusion now.
  • Take the time to read all posts even if they don't apply to you. You could be missing something major otherwise.
  • Romance is allowed, of course! But anything past the PG-13 rating is to be taken to PMs or "fade to black".
  • Character death or harm is perfectly fine with me! Don't do either to another player's character without permission from said player.
  • If your character is killed in combat, you may make another one.
  • No meta-gaming, godmodding or forced romance is allowed. Any "overpowered" character will be nerfed.
  • Character limit is undecided and flexible, but for right now, two to three is recommended.
  • All Co-GMs will have the same powers I do, regardless if they have a fancy title or not.
  • Patience is virtue. This goes from asking questions, to posting and so on. Please keep this in mind.
  • All ideas are welcomed! Please come to me or my Co-GMs before doing something major in the Roleplay.
  • Do not post in the Character Tab until your character is accepted in the OOC Tab.
  • Obviously, all regular site rules apply.
  • Have fun! Roleplaying is a hobby, not a job. Don't be ashamed to take a break or drop out.

dude .... YES !!!

I'll take this as interest.
Ill help write up the Bot Killer Squad Faction sheet if you want.

That'd be great, but hold off just for a bit. I'm going to make a general outline for factions. And yes, you may create your own faction if you'd wish. Seeing as unity is huge in this Roleplay, I'd love for all factions to be affiliated. Doesn't mean they can't have bad blood with rivals factions thought.
I'm going to have the OOC up before the end of the night, but it'll only have the character sheet, rules and story so far. Factions, the world and so on will be added in the near future.
I come back from shopping, hoping the site would still be up, and I come back to see this thread...

Tell me why I would not be in!

Mind you, I'm on my phone so technically, I'm not at home but I'd be happy to send in ideas if any come to mind; I still have whiplash from the swarm.

See you soon!

Of course the site is up, we still have our great hero, Mahz. Our rhetorical RP selves, however, do not.
Alright, I'm going to go run off and play 3DS for a bit, but before I do:

  • Have ideas? Great! Wonderful! Feel free to drop me a PM or leave them here in the thread.
  • Is everyone alright with this being in Casual? I was going to drop this in General, but that'd be hard, considering our situation.
  • Still gonna go ahead and try to recruit people from all sections.
  • Is everyone alright with playing a "beefed up" and altered persona of themselves? IE: I'd play as Cynder, etc, etc.
  • Any other questions? Send them to me or leave 'em here in the thread.
