Zakroti pulled his sword clean from the warrior's leg and the Drakken fell to the ground with a cry of pain, dropping his own blade and rolling onto his side. Zakroti glanced over towards Lugft who was lying in a heap on the floor. Kzaar had struck him over the back of the head with his wargamers and it had apparently knocked the warlord unconscious.

With the final of Lugft's bodyguards dealt with, Zakroti sheathed his blade and looked over the carnage. His eyes came to rest on the two bloody Gemminite carcasses and he stared silently for a few moments before he motioned to them and glanced to Vain.

"Hilyatew gehdzi kala geheiz mathi. (Send them to their homes.)" Zakroti ordered. Vain nodded silently and motioned for two of the men at arms around the room to see him. Zakroti stepped over his fallen foe towards Kzaar and nodded as he looked up towards the massive warrior.

There was a weak moan from the chair where Aurien sat, his wound being tended Toby Gaikas

"Vivpre, lal. You will endure." The old blackguard said. The Serjeant at arms nodded in response and shifted in position, glancing towards the dead men around him. Many of his own soldiers had fallen in this battle hand-

There was a sudden call from down the hall for a healer and Gaikus glanced around before standing up and leaving. Zakroti's eyes glanced back to the two dead Brides- Kasari. She had been brave and would have made a fine addition to the household. He wished he had gotten to know her better than he did.

Indeed, he wished he had gotten to see her perform or to at least show her prowess with her element. Zakroti watched as one of the men at arms lifted the girl up over his shoulder...

Suddenly, a deep and powerful voice rung out; "I trust you have a suitable explanation for this, Zakroti."

Zakroti swallowed and turned slowly towards the doorway where his grandfather now stood, clearly unimpressed by the scene that was before him. Zakroti paused for a few moments before raising his hand and speaking "Vivpre, grand father. Lugft attacked us after his bride fled, we did only what was necessary to defend ourselves."

"Xarxze wel! Wre jusla bathoz acta krepre. (Foolish child! You have started a war.)" Nastaki grunted as he glanced down to Lugft "You should hope he lives- or war is inevitable."

Zakroti paused for a moment before approaching Nastaki and speaking to him again, looking up to him from the floor "Epe kala o lalyent-seran, zu gehdzi epenasze odzieiz Limeiz grunda, zara wre zela gehdzi? (Tell me Grandfather, if they disrespect our family's honour, would you let them?"

Nastaki glared at him for a few moments before seizing Zakroti by the throat and pulling him forwards; He drew his blade and brought it up through the air in an ark, swinging it down towards Zakroti's head. The blade drew nearer and nearer and Zakroti could see his men reaching for their weapons - Finally the blade struck, digging deep into his left horn.

Nastaki let out a grunt of effort before using all his might to break the damaged horn in two and send it clattering to the floor. He released his grasp and Zakroti fell to his knees.

"Wre jusla grundaze! (You have no honour!)" Nastaki declared as he sheathed his blade. Zakroti looked up to his grandfather and then glanced to the floor again

"Kas, muthseran. (Sorry, grand duke.)"

Ayltam chased Aymiria through the hallways and down into one of the rooms; The steam had exploded on the Gem as she had darted off and Ayltam herself had been sent off her feet by the blast. The young drakken burst into the room after Miry and dashed over towards the Gem as she wrapped herself as in blankets.

She reached out and gently peeled them back, horrified at the extent of the burns. She dashed back out and back towards Zakroti's room, finding a pitcher of water and dashing back into the hall. As she passed she raised her voice to cry out "We need a healer!"

She dashed over to Mirys side and gently poured the water over some of her burns, using her elemental powers to slowly creating a thin layer over them and removing burnt clothing from them.

Gaikus stepped into the room behind her and looked down at the injured bride "Alas, a victim of her own trap." Gaikus mused as he knelt down next to her and reached to his belt, taking out a small bowl of a murky black substance and gently rubbing it into the burns. Once he had done that, he took a roll of bandages from the pouch and held it up. "The water, put some on the bandage."

"Right?" Ayltam replied as she trailed the water to the bandage to make it somewhat damp. Gaikus unravelled the bandages and used them to gently cover the burns. "Skill she be alright?"

"Her wounds are grave. With what I have with me, the lasting physical damage may be great but with Vivari's grace she will survive." Gaikus said as he glanced towards Ayltam "Perhaps more could be done once we get back to Jupostat. Help me cover her wounds and then bring her. If she awakes, I can give her something for the pain."

Ayltam nodded and set about gently covering the burns with the bandages, looking down to the young girl with concern. "Her sister - she..."

"A scared beast does peculiar things. Tragic things. It is best not to dwell on it while there is work at hand."
I'll probably post tommorow after class.
Minor collaboration between myself and @RomanAria solely because both are short enough that they may as well fit into one post.

Edwin stood motionless and dumbstruck for what felt like an age, staring at the man before him in shock. What the devil? Had Prince Niklas really said that or had his ears deceived him? He glanced to the faces of his betrothed and of Mei and their expressions confirmed to him that he had not misheard.

He blinked a few times as he tried to clear his head and decide upon a course or action; Then he crossed one leg in front of the other and returned an exaggerated bow.

"Well met, Prince Hooligan. I am King Rich Twit the seventeenth, lord of the inane and protector of the absurd. To what do I owe the pleasure of your company and if I may, I would like some information regarding the nature and the source of the medication you are taking." Edwin said in an exaggerated RP accent before righting himself again with a small grin.

"I am elated to make your acquaintance, Prince Niklas, Princess Mei; may the light of lights illuminate your path. I am indeed Edwin, King of Anatolia and Prince of Britannia. Is there something you require of me or my betrothed or are you here merely to talk? We would be glad of your company."

Liv felt a rush of frustration as Edwin looked away from her, past and somewhat above her - was she really already boring him so awfully that he had to glance around the room? Then she noticed he'd gone slack-jawed and was staring at something with confusion on his face. The girl turned, coming face-to-face (or rather, face to ribcage!) with Niklas Konig and Mai Mei. She frowned for a second and replayed the last few seconds in her mind.... and then wondered if she was hallucinating. But no, judging by the looks on everyone's faces...

And of course, then Edwin replied with an equally outlandish declaration. Liv turned to look at Mai with a horrified and confused expression, biting her lower lip uncertainly. She did draw some small amount of comfort from the equally-horrified look on Mai's face, but still... She glanced back at Edwin as he righted himself and resumed his proper tone of speaking. It was only at that moment that the sheer absurdity of the situation hit her and she let out a small giggle, which she quickly stifled by covering her mouth with one hand.

The small girl turned back to Mai and Niklas, a soft grin still on her face, and curtsied to them. "Ave, Prince Niklas, Princess Mai. Quid famili--" she blushed and cut herself off, quickly backtracking her words. "--To what do we owe the pleasure of your company?"

XD that was going to be Liv's reaction except in Latin...And she might jump and hide behind Edwin cause yay shyness and scary tall people.

Collab maybe?

Of course!
It's been nearly a week and I still haven't the foggiest idea how to respond to the interesting introduction given by Niklas. At this point I am tempted to have Edwin stare at him for a full minute before going "Uhm. What are you on and where can I get some?"
Prince Edwin of Britannia

Edwin grimaced at Liviana's rattling cough, taking a handkerchief from his pocket and offering it to her. He quickly changed the expression to a friendly and reassuring smile. He had heard that she had been a sickly child - no doubt her stature was a result of her poor health as well - but he had not expected her to still be so ill from it all. It was foolish of him to be so naive as to believe that she might have recovered, it should have been obvious that her sickly childhood would taken its toll.

"I suppose Aciras is to my liking though I do find myself slightly homesick. That is likely a result of this occasion rather than any dislike of the place itself. I wonder, is it to your liking?" Edwin asked with a small frown, looking around the room quickly "As for the trip, it went well enough though I confess I could find no comfort in coming to this occasion."

Edwin paused as he and his betrothed were approached by a pair of young woman, some of the servants Casimir had decided to gift during his extravagant entrance. With a small frown he turned to look at the girl who had approached him, nodding awkwardly as she curtsied and went to introduce herself.

“My name is Ashi Astillo, your grace. I will be in your service for the next three months by the order of Prince Casimir. How may I serve you?” She said with a smile. He took a moment to examine her; She had long dark hair, tanned skin and startlingly vivid green eyes; Her facial features were slightly marred by a crooked nose though he would not consider it to detract too much from her appearance. Certainly, she would be considered attractive - though perhaps not beautiful. (He couldn't help but note that both of the servants were taller than his bride to be.)

Edwin blinked a few times, glancing to Liviana as she bumped into him from the side, apparently startled at the sudden appearance of the two servants. He couldn't help but smirk at her repeated apologies and in turn he assured her that no harm was done. Once Liviana had dispensed with her servant on an errand to fetch her personal items, Edwin snapped his attention back to Ashi and gave a small wave of his hand.

"Hm. Well, it would be best for you to help the other servant- Asavi, was it?- to move Princess Liviana's belongings. She could do with your assistance more than myself at this moment."

"As you wish, your grace." Ashi replied with another wide smile, spinning on her heel and hurrying off after her colleague.

Edwin waited until the girl was out of an earshot before he spun around and leant in towards Liviana, speaking in a quiet and slightly concerned voice "Perhaps I am being paranoid on account of my nervousness but don't you find that to be somewhat - suspect? A gift of servants who no doubt will be in close proximity to the royals and whose loyalties almost certainly lie with Casimir- I am ill at ease with it, they could all too easily be passing along anything we say. Perhaps it would be information that is comparatively inconsequential given what I hear of him - But all the same, I am not sure I like the thought."

@RomanAria
...like I said conceding to the tactician here. @.@ Just ignore silly little Aria please.

You are not silly. Don't put yourself down like that xD

weeeeeeeeeell Lugft isn't rational or forgiving... but honestly a fight might not happen at all, I don't know if we need more than a mexican standoff that just sorta ends honestly, especially if we don't need/want anyone to get injured. Lugft came unprepared for a fight with few guards so would probably bluster and threaten before brutally Murdering Talli within earshot/sight of Aery and blaming it on her before angrily leaving to get new brides (See:Nadia/Amalia and such)

True, I suppose xD Zak, at least, wouldn't be trying to kill anyone important.

And yeah, that would make more sense than Lugft trying to rambo in with a handful of men (Which I think would probably end with tragic consequences for the poor Red Shirts in the equation xD). It'd be better for the drama anyway... and probably makes more sense overall. As brutish as the Drakken are, I find it difficult to believe that two lords could get away with having a full blpwn skirmish in the middle of the Wroth without any consequences (which I think I would be correct in guessing was crown land, given that all the major Drakken seem to live well away from it?)
@RomanAria so the original plan was to kill off my only character before leaving the RP statting area...

Ok moving away from that, the whole defending bit is a bit off considering several elements. For one, your comparing a door as equal to a mountain pass in defensive standing is ridiculous. Mountain passes have room for a defensive force to maneuver and defeat a larger force, no one can maneuver effectively in a door except for one person either way.

Aldo drakken have elemtal powers tailored for combat, why rush s defended door when you can set the door on fire?

Its not as stacked a fight against Lugft as you think.

Regardless a maiming is fine with me, but zaks forces getting off largely uninjured is absolutely unfair and makes no sense. I'm not asking to win, losing is fine but as the odds are not as stacked as you think it needs to make sens. Zak should take more serious injuries than superficial scratches, that's ridiculous

My 2 cents

This. I don't think anyone needs to die or get maimed really. That probably wouldn't be the aim of anyone in fight- Assuming there actually was an all out melee which is less than likely anyway.

zak wouldn't have 'held' the doorway anyway; the plan was to sandwich Lugft's men between two groups, effectively leaving them trapped in the doorway area/alcove while getting poked at from both sides with spears and as such get them to begrudgingly surrender and agree to leave (I don't think either party would want to kill the other. That would risk a blood feud and war. At worst they would want to capture the other for ransom I imagine.)
So. @agentmanatee @darkwolf687 @weepingliberty and I think we needta do things with @ellion and maybe @narcissisticpotato is in there too?

How're we gonna handle playing out the kerfuffle? That'll take forever...

Here's my proposed post

"Lugft burst through the door and pointed his sword at Zakroti.

'Unalim! You have something of mine!' He shouted in a menacing voice.

'You know it is extremely rude to burst into people's rooms! Put your sword down, my lord, or I swear to you it will be the last thing your hand holds.' Zakroti called back, his men reaching their weapons to make good on the threat

'Not until you return my bride! Threaten me again and I'll put a maggot hole in you.'

And so they yelled profanities and threats at each other for several minutes. Unfortunately for them all, in the end they shouted so loudly that the roof collapsed and everyone died."
