Artemis looked around trying to see what was going on. "I think I heard something about a hyena...We are just over here just to be safe. We are perfectly protected." She said as her gaze tried to find Cyren. She wanted him to be careful but she felt in the pit of her chest of when her old mate would go on a hunt. She shook off the feeling knowing it was different this time.

Kalina walked over to a tree log and scratched her nails up against it trying to distract herself. Nikko looked around trying to see the hyena but couldn't. "I wonder what its doing here?" Nikko asked Gumu wondering if he knew.

Artemis laughed as he said that. "Well its nice to meet you Prince Gumu." She said smiling at her two cubs. "I am glad you two found a friend." She said to them as Nikko went over to Gumu laughing. "Why did we have to go over here mama?" Kalina asked getting worried. She crawled over to her hiding behind her front legs.

Artemis smiled as she brought everyone to be in the shadow of Pride Rock. She did not want to be out there in case their was an attack. "Hello. I am Nikko and Kalina's mom Artemis. Whats your name?" She said looking at Gumu. She saw him earlier but never met him till now.

When Cyren headed to the king she knew something was wrong. "Cubs...Come here. Nikko and Kalina that means you!" Artemis called out and ran towards them. "Its not safe come back." She said as Nikko and Kalina started heading to her immediately. "Gumu come with us." Nikko said wanting him to be safe too. He was the prince basically.

Nikko tried to chase after Gumu but she could start to feel low on stamina. He knew he would not be able to keep up much longer. He tried to reach her paw out to touch his shoulder hoping he made it.

Artemis could see her cubs starting to slow down. "See, they are getting tired already." She said laughing as she looked back over to Cyren rubbing her head on his side softly once too. She was happy to have met him. He gave her more of a reason to keep going on just like her cubs.
