Dealing with a lot of work from uni right now. Probably won't get any roleplaying done for a while. Why can't there be a major in uni about roleplay?!

Hit a bit of a bump (aka writer's block) with writing the starter post. I did update the second post on the thread, which is where I'll be putting event information. Just to give everyone a head's up, we'll be starting off this rp with the Badlands Independence Day, a neutral ground for everyone. It's just going to be a way for everyone to interact for a little while - get the characters to feel each other out without anything coming to blows (hopefully) - before we get to the good stuff.
Avery pursed her lips as she looked over at her roommate. She hadn't noticed her scribbling on a notebook, but now that she did she found that the act irked her. Without warning, she swiped the notebook away from Lena and tucked it into her back pocket. She raised her hand up, stopping any complaints before Lena could even open her mouth. "We're out to have fun and socialize. Whatever crap you're writing there, it can wait." She nodded, as if the action would seal her declaration like law.

She shook her head lightly. "Bars and drinking go hand in hand. So, yes, you'll be drinking." She flashed the girl a devilish grin, her eyes shifting fox-like for a split second. It was a form of warning she often used to signify that yes, she would be using her abilities to get what she wanted. She could imagine the gears turning in her head. A little illusion here, a little illusion there. She shrugged and bumped her shoulder with Lena. "I'm not going to let anything bad happen to you. You just need to loosen up, is all."
I'll try to get a post up later. I just got home orz

Name: Elizabeth Grace "Beth" Castillo
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Pansexual

Brief History: Beth Castillo is the only daughter out of three children of a successful businessman and a respected actress. As such, Beth grew up with all the luxuries money could buy. The only problem was that fame and fortune came with the downside of having extremely strict parents who expected nothing but perfection from they daughter. Anything less was met with the stinging burn of a belt. A lot of her childhood had been ripped away from her, but Beth never saw fault in that. It was just how she thought a parent's love was meant to be.

Her admission to St. Micheal's Academy had been written in her fate even before she was born. The school itself was magnificent, but the routine was droll. Beth was the student council president, but there was rarely any trouble from the students and all her work consisted of was announcing the flag ceremony every morning. When the teachers announced a penpal project that would have chosen students corresponding with students from their sister school in America, Beth knew she'd have to do it. If only as a way to find something new to do in her boring day to day life.
@Zetsuko Ooooh, I like him. Put him in the characters tab!
I'm soo sorry in advance to my room mates LOL <3
Dawn is totally going to be the reason your characters are laying in bed at night and sighing.

> 2:00 am
> Dawn: "If you guys had to rate the butts of all the guys here, who would be your number one?"
> Eli and Dolce: "GO. TO. SLEEP. DAWN."

Pretty sure Dawn's gonna drive Eli crazy with that. :p

Btw, @Roecoon are we going to follow a posting order?
Briar Peyre

Name: Briar Peyre
Age: 25
Gender: Female

Personality:
Briar is a person who believes in living every day as if it was your last, and by the things she did every day, they might as well have been her last. She's a party animal, a socialite, and someone you can find where people are gathered usually as the center of attention. She's a daredevil, doing anything she can and then some. She's eccentric and an avant garde and likes to surround herself with similar people. Briar is smart and a smooth talker, a rather useful combination when dealing with the police. People get easily drawn to Briar, as if with a force as powerful as gravity. Briar doesn't actually care about if she has a lot of people around her. The only important thing is that she was having fun.

Briar can be a bit hot-headed. It doesn't take much to set her off, and she can get extremely violent and uncontrollable whenever that happens. She's also not one to take anything seriously, always choosing to let things run its course, even if it means bad things for her and the people around her. She usually lets things she's not involved in slide off her back, making her seem distant and uncaring. Briar isn't someone that's reliable or responsible, and as such, a lot of aspects of her life has gone awry. People that care about her have talked her ear off about her habits, but she let them in one ear and out another.

History:
Briar thought she'd finally be a hero after the war. She would finally be free of the little girl that people tossed aside once a new toy came around. She would finally be free of the clingy orphan that yearned for something concrete and constant. She would finally be free because she'd have a good life. She was wrong - so, so wrong. After the war ended and they returned victorious, history repeated herself. Briar was once again rejected by the very people she aimed to please.

She was done. The fourteen year old electrokinetic grabbed what little belongings she had and never looked back. She used her powers to get her the money she needed to survive - supercharging ATMs to spit out loads of cash. Of course, authorities caught wind of what she'd been doing and she needed to lay low. She dyed her hair blonde and took a radical change in her clothing preferences. Her ability had been shelved until absolutely necessary.

With the money she stole, Briar was able to make a life for herself. It wasn't the best, but she was surrounded by people and was able to do whatever she wanted. Ten years of living only for herself was working for Briar, or at least, that was what she lead people to believe. Then she found out about her biological family.

They took her in - admonishing her for her previous misconducts but accepting her nonetheless - and Briar hated every moment of it. It wasn't something she was used to, and it wasn't something she wanted to be used to. Her biological parents clung to her, wanting to make up for lost time. She never connected with her older sister. It was hell.

So while she told herself she'd said goodbye to the hero stuff, when she was contacted by Primas she found herself quick to agree. Anything to get out of that stifling house. Anything to regain her sense of independence.

Abilities:
Electricity Manipulation. User can create, shape and manipulate electricity, a form of energy resulting from the existence of charged particles (such as electrons or protons) which give the user control over electric fields, electric charges, electric currents, electronics, and electromagnetism.

Applications:
User can generate, conduct, and absorb electricity.
Charge objects with electricity, heat them and/or making them conduct electricity.
Electric Pull to pull themselves toward something or to pull things toward them.
The user can release/use electricity to attacks of various shapes and/or intensities, either projected, used as a part of melee attacks, etc.

Limitations:
May become useless if confronted electrical resistant material such as rubber or silicate.
Users may short circuit if hit with water. (Only if she's charging her body with electricity)
Briar's precision with her electrokinetic combat ability is a bit rusty after lack of use.

Belongings:
A motorcycle
A pair of gloves that magnify her abilities and allow for better control (currently broken)
Ahh. So maybe she can join in the interaction after everyone's settled in?
@Tancuras I finished Briar. If there's anything I need to change, tell me. :>
I was kinda hoping they'd allow her some time outside. Like in a mess hall of some sorts while everyone is out there too? Like she said, she's been behaving.
