The idea of a a Empire of Greater Greece is just... downright silly. Even if Greek is Christian the Concert of Europe is not just going to stand down and let Greece upset the balance of power in the region, and as Legion has said a lot of that territory is slavic and with Russia's panslavic position they probably invade to stop the Empire. The creation of maybe a Greek State incorporating the current territories it has in IRL could happen, but there is no way in hell Europe would support the creation of this Empire.

Edit:And to be honest, it seems like you think it would work purely because it worked in Victoria 2. Which is not the case.

Any of you fine modern nations want to start the RP with a lease at Vesuvius or Etna? I'll throw in land for a military naval base too, so long as the GM approves of all this, of course.

Northern Italy mainly has the resources.

I might allow for a few blue coal deposits, but I rather keep it limited in Europe. As I said a majority is in Asia, and I want the focus to be less on Europe and more on Asia. So a few small deposits there is fine.

I have a question about technology. In 1866 Ironclads were fairly new, brand new even, and breech loaded weaponry just got introduced. Wont it be odd to already have tanks and mechs stomping around on the battlefields instead of cavalry? And I also read about a radio proposal. Wont it make more sense to start out with the telegraph? Because the inventor of the Radio, Guglielmo Giovanni Maria Marconi, isnt even born yet :P

Just my thoughts on it, since it was asked.

Well part of the idea of Steampunk is that we have futuristic technology in the past, Ironclads were introduced around 1854 shortly after the discovery of blue coal as it sparked a huge rush of invention. And even if the inventor of the radio isn't born yet, we can always just have had someone else invent it.

@TomeBinderWhile everything seems good, and it is kind of funny to see the outdated army amongst all of the armies of airships. I do have a concern however that you seem to think sheer manpower could match the output of industrial machines. That really could not work, maybe if it was on the scale of a Chinese-size population, but that is currently not the case. You be pretty behind in terms of agriculture production, if you can acknowledge this then I can accept your app.

@Legion X51 As with Monkey it looks good so far, however while this may have been intentional you seem to have left out Ukraine and Belarus. I will reserve final judgement for when it is finished.

I posted this in the interest check before I noticed that this thing was already made so here, a copy paste of my request :)

Can I join as a United Netherlands? In which Belgium lost its independence war/got reconquered by the Dutch? If I can can I then also please keep Indonesia? Unless someone else wants it... Then I'll have to take it by force! :P

United Netherlands is acceptable.

On the subject of Indonesia however I planned to have the Japanese start at war to take Indonesia for their own. I would not have it, the war would just be beginning. I was hoping that someone would join as the Netherlands actually so I did not have to NPC them for the war.

Well Cixi did perform some form of western industrialization in the early 60's on Cixi's orders after the Second Opium War. But it probably wasn't near aggressive enough at the start, and given the date difference it probably wouldn't amount to much.

What really sank them was their refusal to update the military. They attempted to do so, but Cixi got pissed off when the British ships they bought came to China with a British crew and still under British command. When negotiations on them turned sour they sent them back to England.

The idea is that blue coal allows for extremely rapid industrialization, and I am not pushing for total historical accuracy.

On the subject of Siberia: It has a few huge blue coal deposits but they will be hard to exploit.
