I have an RP idea in mind where you play either a militarized task force designed to eliminate paranormal activity, or something akin to the Umbrella Secret Service.

I am trying to worldbuild god civs akin to the Time Lords or Xeelee, but so far I've yet to get anything concrete down. It is a tad frustrating, but I'll come up with something eventually. I hope.

@Obscene: And that is true. I might try that with a character I'm making for a fic actually. Though they'll be no-nonsense in a largely jovial kind of way.

Yeah. Static was just what popped into my head as the closest descriptor since those are less focused on the character's arc or internal struggle. Not the best wording to use admittedly.

I just want more protagonists with that same resolve, or barring that ones who aren't confused young adults looking to find their place in life analogues.

I've been craving some light hearted blast from the past, not trying to be anything other then it is rp recently. Bonus points if it does end up Isekai.

So tentative interest from me! I'll probably play good-hearted but dim oaf or a over the top kingmaker type character, if another player is down to have a loyal but goofy companion.

>I really need to sub to my own posts...

>Anyway! I'm thinking it could either be a mix, so like we have veteran heroes or villains who were isekai'd doing things alongside people from a traditional fantasy land world, or just straight up isekai. I've got a worldmap ready either way, though the lore will literally whatever we decide to write for any given location.

>And as for myself, I'm thinking an edgy looking swordsman who's got an aversion to brooding in dark corners in a room.
@Zyx Really cool character but I'm thinking he might be just a tad bit too strong for this... mainly it's the 'practically immortal and resurrects within seconds of death' thing that has me concerned. Also being able to sustain an undead army of 500 men. I guess he just feels in a certain sense a bit too 'invulnerable' for the overall feel of the game...

>I'd a feeling he might be. I'll do some more brainstorming and see who else I can come up with then.
>Alright. First, I apologize if there are any mistakes in this sheet. It's 6 AM where I am and I'm quite tired. Second, he doesn't have any servants with him at the moment so no need to worry about that yet. And third, let me know if his present level of magical acumen is too extreme for this and I'll see if I can't come up with another character.
@Zyx Heya, yeah I think we could fit you in if you like. Probably want to get caught up in the IC thread but basically the ship just recently set sail. Feel free to post a character if you like. I'd suggest a somewhat less "noticeable" character -- for example a highly decorated noble wouldn't work too well since they surely would have been noticed by the other characters by now.

>Oh I think I've got the perfect one in mind. Just give me a bit and I'll finish up some minor details on his sheet.
>Query: Is this still accepting?
I'm kind of interested in the subverted anime tropes concept but sadly don't know enough anime to do it effectively xP

>Fair, but to play Devil's advocate a bit, anime has base tropes that are common across certain genres. Using edgelords as an example, they're not exclusive to anime, and besides a lot of these tropes can be found on sites like TV Tropes if you need a quick refresher/explanation.

>Also, don't forget that this is supposed to be satire. Humorous satire at that, so the main goal is writing something funny or entertaining using anime OCs.
>So I'm not going to bother with fancy graphics or titles on this one. The basic premise I want to try and do is to make a roleplay that satirizes traditional anime tropes in things like isekai and shonen. So imagine a group with a reformed, or perhaps not so reformed, edgelord, tsunderes, etc. Just all the tropes rolled into one generic fantasy world that totally isn't a carbon copy of every other, but definitely is.

>As for the plot, honestly we can just make it up as we go along. If anyone's interested in this idea for a group RP let me know.

>Thanks.
>I have elected to rejoin on a whim, new face and all, although this time I'm here strictly for the RP. When I have the time to get around to it anyway.

>That aside, hello again Roleplayer's Guild.

>It's been... a year or two at least. I'm not entirely sure, haven't kept track.
