I never really liked that whole sentiment of a guy "deserving" a girl, especially since it's like you said, the implied reward for behaving a certain way. I mean, when you can subtitute "I've been a nice charming guy, I deserve a girlfriend" with "I've been a good employee, I deserve a raise" and maintain the same implications, it's a bit fucked up. It's part of the reason the "friend zone" is stupid as fuck because the implication there is that if you're nice and devoted to a girl outside of a relationship, she's a bitch for not wanting to date you. It's a shitty term for shitty people.
As for shooter McGaven here, he was obviously fucked up and had way too many things wrong with him, but him being a pig is just a garnish. I wouldn't blame his actions on him thinking he was being screwed over by girls and it drove him nuts, since he went after his housemates mainly, half the victims were guys. You don't stab three people to death and then shoot three more over blue balls, otherwise half the internet would have murdered somebody by now.
Long story short, you probably aren't going to find why he killed those people on his YouTube videos. His shitty opinions aren't a precursor to murder.
