Current Remember, nobody actually enjoys roleplaying if there isn't at least five shameful fetishes uncovered by the 2nd page.

Somebody stole my mood ring. I don't know how to feel about it.

Let's be honest, it's far more satisfying and challenging to actually imagine what a character looks like than paste a hundred gifs of a celebrity and call it good.

So, a team of players who are good at playing as a team in a team-based game are individually bad players. Seems kind of silly when you put it like that, no?

My goal these days is to have an RP that can actually finish, or the very least, last a few years. I see way too many die on page one to take chances

Oh man. You and Dripper both had some shit luck, Vakte. :/ I hope you manage to get your stuff back, or at the very least the police catch the bastard.

I goddamn hate thieves.

This is the most mighty of pick up lines.
Hugely. When I was a teen, most of my music was stuff like Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Offspring, Blink 182, Sum 41, and assorted music in a similar vein. The only bands of those that I still listen to outside of 1-3 songs worth of nostalgia is The Offspring and older RHCP, and even then both those bands are "sometimes." Oh, and Billy Talent has always been a big one, still is when I'm in the mood.

Now my most listened to bands are Suidakra, Alestorm, Turisas, Powerwolf, Amon Armarth, and Nightwish. Rounding it out is assorted metal, classic and contemporary rock, punk rock, oddballs I enjoy listening to, and even occasionally the odd folk tune and rap song.

Interesting thing is, it's actually pretty common and widespread here in Calif. Maybe in the urban areas it's a bit more stigmatized, but all the suburban/rural areas I've lived or been to have had tons of gun owners. Most people I known up here have guns, and it's not a huge deal to people. Lots of hunters too.

Yeah, usually it's city people who've never seen a gun in their life that are the most ignorant and afraid of them. They don't see the sportsman side of things, they just see the 5pm triple homicide special on the news. It's that disconnect that causes most of the issues, I find.

Ironically, they're usually the ones who approach wildlife in provincial/ state parks because they don't think they're dangerous because they're used to humans being around. But that's a story for another day. Basically ignorance makes you paranoid or reckless. Not good.
Up here in Canada, especially out West, gun ownership is pretty much normal and nothing special. We have a big hunting culture and it's not hard to find a shooting range. The vast majority of gun owners are responsible, law abiding people who know that screwing around can lead to stricter, stupid laws that just punish everyone needlessly. It's not as weird as you might think, most of it's out of sight, out of mind.

As for knife fighting, it's pretty quick and brutal. A lot of it is being able to deflect your opponent's arm and then going for a disabling or lethal strike, and keeping your knife hand back and your unarmed one forward. Getting hurt in the arm is a lot better than dying because you lost your weapon.
Sorry about the typos, typing on a phone isn't as fun as they make it sound.
I don't think they had a doubt that the Protheans had a role in their technological advancement, as they discovered Prothean ruins like every other race, which led them to the Mass Effect relay in their system, and then to the Citadel. They never thought they were special and did what other species accomplished without Prothean technology.

Keep in mind, until Javik, nobody knew what Protheans looked like and the Prothean grooming you mentioned was thought of as their goddess tens of thousands of years ago. When something has been a part of your culture and religion that long, you tend to accept it, especially since their government mist have known since they kept it such a tight secret and prevented researxh on their religious artifacts.

It's kind of like how we all laugh at the ancient astronaut theory as ridiculous nobsesne only to find out that it's totally true when they find a UFO in the Great Pyramid.

Yeah that's something I want to get into as well. The problem is only that while the fencing community is small, the classical swordplay community seems even smaller. I've mostly only stumbled upon people who make swords and weapons, or who appreciate and collect.

In Edmonton, there's an organization that practices medieval European martial arts and what not. I think it would be rather fun to do that, especially learning how to ruin somebody's day with a hammer.
I will have another post on the go tomorrow, I hope!
