Advertising another RP site in your is not against the rules. It's making a whole thread to advertise (or I suppose even just a single post) - that sort of thing. In fact, iirc, "either put a link in your signature or just stop advertising altogether" is usually what the mods say to people who try to advertise (or at least, the ones that are clearly still members of the community and not just here for the sole purpose of advertising).

I remember talking with Lillian about it the last time somebody was advertising. She confirmed signature links are a-okay, but making threads and posts and shit are a no-go.

It honestly perplexes me why anyone would even want to steal shit. They're meaningless items in a game that's on a server that was purchased so friends and acquaintances could hang out and do shit. I sure hope you enjoyed potentially fucking up your reputation and friendships for trivial bullshit.

This right here is fantastic advice. Before I jumped over to being a primarily Advanced roleplayer, I was slapping high-casual labels on my RPs and I'd happily been roleplaying with several players for months, many whom I consider friends. I realized after a month or two of running my games in Casual that the standards easily met Advanced standards. So when Newguild came into being, I moved my games to Advanced and the writing quality and expectations didn't change. It felt like a good move and it was!

When you want to do a new game, ask some of your buddies if they'd be interested in doing an Advanced game with mainly them. It's hard to feel pressured to perform when it's people you're comfortable with, and most guys and gals in Advanced are super friendly. They're also usually the ones who participate in these discussions regularly because generally sharing experiences and helping less experienced players is something that only helps everyone. I've had fewer prouder moments on RPG than being told that I was the reason that a couple players tried hard to improve their writing.

Don't be afraid to challenge yourself! Just never forget you roleplay for fun.

Filler is fine! But as I said, I'll be moving things along likely this weekend. Things will get awfully explodey before you know it. This is mainly to let player decide where their characters are, what they plan on doing, and the quick prep before we hit the point of no return. Nothing kills the pacing of action scenes like everyone filling in the details leading up to it like some kindof chronological time travelling warlock who forgot he left the oven on during a castle siege.
