Current Remember, nobody actually enjoys roleplaying if there isn't at least five shameful fetishes uncovered by the 2nd page.

Somebody stole my mood ring. I don't know how to feel about it.

Let's be honest, it's far more satisfying and challenging to actually imagine what a character looks like than paste a hundred gifs of a celebrity and call it good.

So, a team of players who are good at playing as a team in a team-based game are individually bad players. Seems kind of silly when you put it like that, no?

My goal these days is to have an RP that can actually finish, or the very least, last a few years. I see way too many die on page one to take chances

I'll probably do this again this year.

Probably about a quarter of the kids/ mothers who walked by were too creeped out to approach.

On the plus side, I had a lot of pop and candy left over that lasted me well until new years.
Haven't we been having the debate over (insert media content here) is corrupting the hearts and mind of (insert demographic here) since the dawn of civilization? Watching trashy erotic fiction isn't going to make people abusive BDSM assholes anymore than playing Doom gave Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold the idea to shoot up Columbine High School. People are much better at separating reality from fiction than anyone gives them credit for, period.

I'm pretty sure if anyone tries anything they see in the movie, it'll probably be mutually agreed upon and if it's uncomfortable, they'll stop and move on. 50 Shades of Grey is hardly a world changing phenomena, it's poorly contrived erotica that somehow captured the imaginations of women everywhere and left men shrugging about what the big deal is while they go back to Google Image Search and Redtube with a box of Kleenex. We'll probably here about one or two cases of BDSM going bad afterwards (still haven't heard anything really after the books hit it off big), but that's like when Jackass: The Movie came out and a few idiots made the news because they hurt themselves in spectacularly stupid ways. Given how the news isn't exactly the most reliable source of unbiased information these days, it plays up the very few events that do occur like it's a huge trend that's sweeping the nation instead of the machinations of guys who probably would have been sniffing glue if they didn't go to the movies that night.

No, we wouldn't, because Skype is superior and we already use Skype. Go back to the 90s with your IRC crap, pleb.

That and chatrooms have this horrible way of not filtering out the unwashed peasants who smell like three kinds of feces.

First there's the whole issue of finding a good site that's not just an ad-infested piece of shit that tries to bombard you with malware.

I read this as AIDS-infested piece of shit first.
In our hearts and minds.

We love you, Eternal President!
Imma get a Marassa post up soonish, I don't know where Psyker is.

I've never understood why people torrent movies and TV shows. Why not just watch them streaming?

I'm not going to buy a specialty TV package for one show. I don't even have cable or satellite. The only shows I torrent are Game of Thrones and Vikings, but I buy the DVDs when they come out so I really don't feel bad.
With the relative inactivity, I think you're okay.
Everything kind of goes in phases, there's always an interest, it just may not be in fashion at the moment, so to speak. Even with fandom RPs, sometimes there's an oversaturation of a show or game or whatever, other times you'd be hard-pressed to find one. It can just be something as simple as the people who are usually into military RPs are busy elsewhere or just want a break.

Personally, I wouldn't mind trying a military RP at some point, but I'm honestly hesitant about it because I don't think a lot of people who would be attracted to it have the same vision as I do, which is historical accuracy, setting appropriate themes/ characters/ technology/ etc., and a tastefully done story that is respectful of the battle, war, and soldiers who fought. I want to tell the story of someone who was living through those events like historical fiction, not play text based Call of Duty, which I'm all but certain most people do where everything takes a back seat to action. Almost every military RP I've seen has had people arguing over their squad role (ten bucks says it's usually over who gets to be a sniper, even though very few people really understand how a sniper operates or what it's like to shoot at a distance) and expressing discontentment over the weapons they get to use.
It's just one of those genres that I think attracts people who really aren't mature or knowledgable enough to handle in a manner I'd find appropriate because their interests are from video games instead of books and documentaries.

To be clear, I have nothing against people who want to have an action oriented military RP, I'm just saying I'd prefer to have a game about conscripts in Stalingrad that actually reflect the historical accuracy and human element of men fighting a war more so than Ivan Drago killing a plation of German soldiers with an assault rifle that wouldn't be fielded for another year he stole from a dead Nazi.

Strategy: Hmm, this is a question that takes time I don't have in order to answer. My quickest answer that doesn't suck would be to avoid fighting entirely. Find ways to cripple the other nations economy, political might, etc. Make it to where they can't fight, before you even have to.

Short answer: Don't let the bad man hurt me.
