Current Remember, nobody actually enjoys roleplaying if there isn't at least five shameful fetishes uncovered by the 2nd page.

Somebody stole my mood ring. I don't know how to feel about it.

Let's be honest, it's far more satisfying and challenging to actually imagine what a character looks like than paste a hundred gifs of a celebrity and call it good.

So, a team of players who are good at playing as a team in a team-based game are individually bad players. Seems kind of silly when you put it like that, no?

My goal these days is to have an RP that can actually finish, or the very least, last a few years. I see way too many die on page one to take chances

I wish I had an awesome street party to go to. Glsd you had fun!

Alright, I had started writing timeskip because I thought it's what was wanted, and now there's a strong voice for continuing where we are. Both have ups and downs, but I figure we should sort it out now.

I will say that the general idea, now the resistance is buckling, is to start pushing East and the two groups meet up en route. I'm just generally of the opinion that a change of setting and no overlying rules are something that would help people write a bit more. Heck, we could write as if the two groups had just met up a few days prior to the timeskip so there's still that friction.

Volty, don't worry about Blade, I'm pretty good for writing deus ex bullshit na to get him back with everyone and it opens up a little side arc I had bern planning for a while.

So where's everyone at? Skip or no?

Thought I'd share my Halloween costume with you guys!"History prefers legends to men. It prefers nobility to brutality, soaring speeches to quiet deeds. History remembers the battle, but forgets the blood." - Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

I quite like it. I have no costume this year because my plans fell through last minute. Bitching party I assume?

Now all we need is Echo, and it'd be the month of returns! Anyways, you know that Zaskar Cs? I nearly had it done, annnnd then lost it all through a misplaced click. All of it. Gone. Didn't save any of it. *Headdesk* Expect a longer time before Zaskar reappears.

Don't forget you posted an older version here for review! It's not all gone!
Alright. After everyone gets their posts finished, I'll work on the timeskip as per suggestions. It'll be a big chunk of time, so head's up for that.
Filling in the blanks won't be much of an issue, and if we do this, I need you guys to at least try to be more active. I don't want to bust my ass off trying to keep this game alive and come up with stuff for you guys to do to be met with a resounding "Meh", and I'm sure Soul feels the same way. We've been running this for nearly 3 years now, trying our damnedest to make up new events, characters, and encounters for everyone while also fielding questions from all of you guys. Hell, the last several IC posts have been collabs with GMs. Our intention with this game was to gradually back off and let you guys start making your own choices and paths with the characters where we, as the GMs, would start reacting to what you guys did. But the more it seems we back off instead of keeping this thing on rails, the less you guys seem to want to post. It's kind of discouraging, to say the least.

I understand you guys are all busy with personal life shit, but don't think that Soul and I aren't either; we MAKE the time so we can do this for YOU guys. When this game is active and flowing, I absolutely love doing it and don't mind taking time out of other stuff I could be doing or SHOULD be doing because it's a lot of fun, but when I work my ass off, taking hours to write something up so you guys have something to do and absolutely nobody replies, it doesn't exactly make me feel like doing this anymore. Trust me, it isn't that hard to take 10-15 minutes a day to write up a paragraph or two and then come back to do another paragraph or two the next day; you can get a post up pretty fast that way with absolutely minimal time commitment. I don't know how many times we have to keep saying this: The expectations are 2 paragraphs, we're not looking for 10+ every single time you post. The reason the GM posts are that long is because we're juggling a shitload of NPCs and events for the player characters as well as taking the time to do collabs with you guys whenever you ask us to. Once again, we're making the time to do this for you guys so you can enjoy the game. We don't do this because we have no lives and this is our only creative outlet.

A big problem, I think, is that instead of interacting with each other's characters, a lot of you seem to have decided to turn a bunch of NPCs into pseudo player characters that your character almost solely interacts with. As for the absenteeism, I would like to point out that if we followed our posting guidelines, this game would have died a long time ago because pretty much nobody is meeting them.

What I'm getting at is that the last thing I want to do is a large time skip that would take us to Skyrim, write up a summary of all the stuff the happened (or would have happened) in a summary, and then set you guys up to keep posting and then nothing. It's pretty much where we stand right now, and honestly, I have very little expectation of this game surviving in its current state. I would like to stress this; this game is very close to being shut down because we're running out of steam and seeing absolutely no reciprocation of our efforts. We aren't demanding much, and even that apparently is too much, especially with the latest chorus of check in.
I would have loved DA2 if not for the fact that it had you going over the same half dozen copy/ paste maps for the entire duration of the game. It was less "epic quest simulator" and more "You are the landlord who has to keep evicting shitty tenants from your property simulator".

That said, I enjoyed the story and the characters and I am excited for Inquisition.

I'll probably be running Cassandra and Verric non-stop.
Saw it last weekend, was very impressed. I was also surprised at the rating it got, it's EXTREMELY graphic. I mean, one scene a guy is pulling somebody's face out of a tank that had been torn off from a shell impact. It definitely wasn't a feel-good movie and it definitely did a good job at getting the brutality of war across, although that final scene was well done, it was also by far the least believable part of the film.

Also, Shia LeBeefy was actually a really, really good actor for that role. I dare say he was my favorite character in the movie, which isn't saying much considering the vast majority of the characters are irredeemable battle hardened assholes who have very little humanity left.

Mewtwo*, don't lead these people on with your disinfo. We all know that Ridley is too big for SM4SH.

Size was never an issue. Captain Olimar should only be the size of a D battery if scale was enforced, and characters like Bowser are much smaller than their typical portrayals.

Does he necessarily have to literally be clinically insane? Why not have him be just a guy who believes in Boethian/Nietzschean philosophy? Respect none but yourself, legitimize no royal with your hatred of him, only disregard them as what they are- a shape of metal and the weakling hiding under it. You read that reddit link I sent you? Disregard whatever anyone here has to say about reddit, that post is good.

But reddit is where the autocannibalistic clown rapists dwell. :(

Anyways, on the topic of mentality ill characters, my advice is to ask yourself if you think you can maintain playing a character like that consistently. You might not be happy playing a character you always have to check to make sure you're playing correctly, which may take the fun out of it.

Not to say it can't be done well or enjoyably, but it's certainly something to consider if you're not sure if it would be something you would enjoy writing for long periods.
