Current Remember, nobody actually enjoys roleplaying if there isn't at least five shameful fetishes uncovered by the 2nd page.

Let's be honest, it's far more satisfying and challenging to actually imagine what a character looks like than paste a hundred gifs of a celebrity and call it good.

So, a team of players who are good at playing as a team in a team-based game are individually bad players. Seems kind of silly when you put it like that, no?

My goal these days is to have an RP that can actually finish, or the very least, last a few years. I see way too many die on page one to take chances

I'm the most unbiased news source around. Just ask me.Oh, and Al Jazeera is not in any way a credible news source. It's a government owned body that's highly supportive of tenuous organizations like the Muslim Brotherhood. A partisan, government owned company does not a reliable news source make.

Source?

All I can find is what the US claimed about a particular reporter, who has wiki-leaks documents that go either way.

Source one.

This one's a bit more damning; it claims that reporters are tipped off about suicide attacks prior to them actually happening and says that they were given bin Laden videos to air, so there'd be some sort of connection with Al Qaeda that way.

Source two.

Then there's all the bits on Wikipedia:

Source three.

Anyways, I'm kind of finding conflicting opinions and reports after a few minutes of Google searching (can't be bothered with more than that for something I don't particularly care about), there's likely some sketchy connections, but there's also a lot of accusations which may be baseless. Either way, I'm primarily going off of what I've heard as a general consensus, which is Al Jazeera is generally pretty solid for reporting. I'm not defending or denying any of the accusations leveled at it, it probably has some dirty laundry, like most other news organizations. Chances are, most of their articles are probably pretty factual, regardless.
Glad you're okay. But it's not the Jeep's fault; black ice will make most anything spin out. Proper tires matter more than brand of car.

AL Jazeera? You did not seriously say that effed up news source is unbiased? *eyeroll* Sorry, but EVERY news source is biased, I don't care where you go. You won't find one unbiased. And ESPECIALLY nothing from the frikkin middle-east where their leaders are a bunch of propoganda spreading anti-American haters!

Al Jazeera actually has a very solid reputation when it comes to reporting.

As for the Middle East disliking the US and a lot of nations having shitloads of anti-American sentiment, you kind of need to realize how the US' s actions look to a lot of the world, even going as far back as ousting the moderate Iranian government in favour of the current fundamentalist one back in the 1970s, I think it was.

Some people consider the Cold War as the third and the war on terror as the fourth, so the next one can in fact be labeled the fifth.

Some people also think the Illuminati rule the world and Obama's a lizard man, so some people might be idiots.

I hope WWV has better effects and casting that the 3rd and 4th installment, which were totally just cashing in on the franchise.
Haha. That Blitzkrieg pic is pretty accurate for boot camp instructors. Mine came down hard on people who referred to a rifle as a gun.

Yes, Trilby's are still nice.

Not really a fan, and not because the internet associates them with assholes. I think it's just because of the small brim, it just looks small and awkward.

Oh crap, I hoped it didn't look that way. You're all like the brothers I never knew I had, it would take a lot for any of you to hurt my feelings, lol. Was simply pointing at something I thought was funny. And thank you all so much for the well wishes! Made the chest muscle go boom. The event did last the weekend, but most of that time was spent in recovery-mode. I am so aged and weak -___- The liver is not quite what it used to be. In saying that, I'll get straight into those collab's so they can finally move along. Sorry, you patient saints.

Don't worry; I knew you were joking. You coo' in my books, friend of friends!

And brothers, eh? I could always use a spare sister, especially one who can drink me under the table. :D
It's a really cool idea that depends largely on if people are musicians and if you have means to record and post things. I'm sure you could get it to work with some creative ideas, but I think it's a bit of an uphill battle. I've seen people attempt to do RPs where all the participants would draw little comics for each of their posts, and it was REALLY cool to see unfold, but they don't typically last long because if you think getting writer's block is bad, try adding the pressure of drawing a comic with every panel to it.

I hope you get this idea off the ground!
I think a big reason for character sheets is to make sure that the person wishing to join a game is a right fit for the game, as well as keeping numbers manageable. You kind of want to make sure that there's a certain level of expectations to meet, otherwise you really don't know what's going to walk through the door until it's too late.

My old forum from my youth didn't have character sheets and everyone joined everything, and I have nothing but fond memories from the whole time I did it (it's why I'm here!), but I'll tell you now, if I went back and read the shit I wrote back when I was 13-14 with no standards or expectations, I'd probably lock myself away in embarrassment. I know I would have wanted somebody to tell me to not do A LOT of what I did.

Even on this site, I feel like I dodged a few bullets from interested players in my games (or others I was participating in) when it was pretty obvious right off the hop that those people were not going to be a good fit for that particular game.

So yeah, character sheets? Good things!
