Just watched Prometheus

It was okay, nothing fantastic. It's easier to swallow if you pretend it isn't meant to be some spiritual prequel to the Alien series. I think a big part of it's suckage is it doesn't really keep with the technology and feel of the Alien movies. Hard to believe something's like hundreds of years (or whatever it is) before Alien when the technology is way the hell more advanced than anything you see in the Alien trilogy (plus, Resurrection, I guess).

It's part of the reason I'm actually pretty excited for that Alien: Isolation game. One of the design philosophies they have for that game is that everything in the environment needs to be faithful to the first movie and should look like it could have been a prop made back in the 1970s for the first movie, so the 70s vision of the future.

Voice of the Sky I wanted to keep going, but we hit a point where we lost too many of the original players and it was just becoming a big, disorganized mess where I was dealing with some players I shouldn't have accepted and it was becoming akin to pulling teeth to get the plot moving. GMing is much, MUCH easier if everyone posts once in a while. :P

Nope, name's right! You have nothing to fear. :D I'm kind of surprised how many mage characters are in the game, especially compared to the last one. o.O Had I known, I would have tried a different character. But generally, roleplayers need some kind of creativity, and I think everyone accepted fits that expectation. Either way, looking forward to some good character interaction and the story hitting DEFCON 2 with the Ikana thing, because I just know there's going to be something terribad going to come with that.

Ah yes, agreyloon(atic). I knew things were going downhill fast when she compared me rejecting her to Adolf Hitler. After shitting all over our OOC proclaiming her superiority, she was warned by a mod to leave the game. Then she started trying to provoke me via PM by insulting my province and trying to get me to flip my shit. She's by far the worst person I've met on this site. I didn't know her friend copy and pasted shit, but man, that was a crappy sheet. Expert at everything? C'mon.

Overpower characters are the worst because they are in no way interesting, compelling, or fun to interact with. One thing I've really wanted to do with this game is make it so it had a place for everyone from experienced killers to your average joe just caught up in crazy events, and look where it's got us; a diverse cast of characters that are distinct from one another, well roleplayed, and quite memorable and likeable. I honestly love what this game's become, and it's because of you guys. You may have had to jump through a few hoops before you got accepted, but I think you'd all agree in the end it was worth it, because the people here now wanted to be here enough to work with Soul and I to make a character that would fit well in the story and you all went above and beyond expectations; that's why I moved this to Advanced, because instead of a couple paragraphs like we expected, you guys have put together some fantastic long reads that I am overjoyed to see. Honestly, can't stress it enough; you guys are fantastic, and you make me want to keep this game going until it reaches a satisfying conclusion, and I want you all with me when that happens.

That said, I hope Vanq's okay, because I haven't seen her online (I have her on Skype, too) for quite some time. :/
