Sorry, Wade, I really would like to say "yes" but I think we have the potential of losing track of people with the size of our group as is.

@Wade WilsonIf someone backs out, looses interest, or is otherwise indisposed, would you like to be informed?

In addition, I highly recommend that everybody in our group or observing try getting a band of people to get to know each other instead of focusing on a game. This will really turn our gaming site into a real community.
The interesting thing about dimensions is that we have access to 3 and a bit. Height, width, depth, and time (sort of.) These are the carnal dimensions. However, there are others that scientists and mathematicians are busily unraveling. There are actually 19 recorded thus far.

1) Height
2) Width
3) Depth
4) Time (Era)
5) Realism
6) Magic (Genera)
7) Technology (Genera)
8) Epicness
9) Character’s Relevance in the World
10) Character's Badassness
11) Action
12) Lethality
13) Humor
14) Morality
15) Mood
16) Setting
17) Premise
18) Lucidity
19) 4th Wall

They are suspended by infinite mathematical possibilities in a fractal arc, and where they intersect they create space/time bubbles and safe havens. Each has its own sets of physical laws that are completely independent of the others. Now, so far as the other non-intersecting spaces... the in-betweens if you would, holds no power over anything (object, person, or craft) all remains subject to the laws of it's originating space/time bubble. This is called "the rift" and this is why we are called Rift Runners.

Basically you... physical, real world you, sitting on the other side of that screen, YOU. Are a Rift Runner in that you play characters in roleplaying games (or as I call them in this thread... "other dimensions") and you are part of this gaming group... The Rift Runners Gaming Group.

Since we don't really want to say "Hi, I'm so and so, I live here, and this is my deepest darkest secret." We are creating real-world analogues for us to play. If you want to make this analog to actually be YOU, that is up to you. In a face to face game I would simply have you guys play yourselves, but I think we should hold a level of ambiguity since it is the internet and some of you might be minors or might not be comfortable sharing things about yourselves with someone you can't even put a face to.

Honestly, if you guys don't want me to run Adventure 1, or if someone is super eager to run their own, then I'm totally cool with that.
So, it looks like everybody is in. How about I kick us off with a 1 shot campaign that sets the stage, and we all develop some character concepts and roles we prefer (so that we don't step on each other's toes) and then we can go from there.

I will actually build a game for us and post the link to the OOC.

The game title will be "Rift Runners."
Sorry about that Primal. I just kind of default "He, Him, His" as when you don't know the gender. I know they changed it recently, but old habits are hard to break.
Name: The Boogieman
Age: Immortal
Gender: Male (duh)
Role: Janitor

Appearance: The boogieman is invisible to anyone without the eyes of a child. The more mature their perspective on the world, the less visible he becomes. To a child he appears as a black form, somewhat spindly. His core is blurred. Then, there are his eyes, which seem like a hole punched through the darkness. He is roughly human, but most noticeable of all is his Cheshire cat smile of deviousness and mischievousness.
At will, he can force himself to become more visible to those with more mature perspectives, but this is temporary and tiring.

Race: The Boogieman

Abilities: Oh, the usual, he can be intangible, has the power of telekinesis, can fly, can smell fear, simple mind reading (of the imagination more than anything), and can walk through other’s dreams and (in fact) can control them into becoming nightmares.

Strengths/Weaknesses: The boogieman feeds off of fear. The darker the hour, the stronger he is. However, even in the light of happiness, joy, and hope, he is not entirely powerless.

The Boogieman is a cleaning commando. He hates disorganization, messy, dirty, and broken. This causes him to tidy up just a little, then a little more until the place is spotless. This is like one of those elite training phases where he blanks out and comes to his senses later on, only instead of killing a room of ninjas, he has cleaned a wing of the apartment complex to exquisit order.

Bio: As the years went on, and his associates dwindled, The Boogieman found that while humans were a threat to him, they were no match. Many monsters before him had boasted invincibility only to have some hero rise up and slay them. But The Boogieman was a cool character, not making himself a public figure, not boasting, not getting greedy, and most importantly, not revealing himself ever.

He is elusive and evasive, and it has paid off. That is not to say that he is a recluse, quite the contrary, however, even those who know him don’t actually have any certainty. He jokes so frequently slathers everything in metaphor and is incredibly unpredictable that even when he does share the truth, there is no way for anybody to know. Likewise, he strikes from the shadows without anybody ever knowing where he came from (and in many cases, that he was even there after the fact.)
@TheUnknowable The idea of having a series of adventures (like 1 episode long) run by different GM's and can be in different generas, rather than a sandbox or a campaign. I asked for a vote right before Primal mentioned his game concept about a dead super-future.

Look for the big "vote here" Otherwise

Vote Here

...if you DON'T want to do a bunch of un-linked adventures by liking this post.

So, if you don't want to, even if we get the majority voting opposed to you, explain why because maybe we have missed something.
Oops, forgot to do an "opposed" post to our adventure based game.
Okay, so I'm taking it that @TheUnknowable and @6slyboy6 are not wanting to do the adventure game then. Is this correct?
Are we still on with just 2? There's 2 right?
Benji woke up 2 years before us, the relationship thing is for when we actually get started and get to know each other. We haven't technically woken up yet, but the relationship things shows others and reminds ourselves the general attitudes towards each other. Besides, most of us have met before going under.
@Primal Conundrum Pretty cool idea. I like it.

*Weird and probably stupid idea* I had an idea so that we aren't constantly making characters if we choose to have a number of adventures. Why don't we just say that they are dimensional travelers that get absorbed by their environment. Therefore a snarky sneaky-thiefy person in one adventure is still a snarky sneaky-thiefy person in another adventure. Only in one they have mad ninja training, and another they have a mutant super-power. Personality is the same, background is similar, performance is similar, maybe even name and picture are about the same. That way we don't have to constantly go back to the drawing board. This, of course, would be for those not WANTING to make a new character, you can (of course) make a new one if you want.
