It seems the RPguild took a shit and double posted for me. So I'mma take this post and edit it to add:

Mormons survived, so I don't see why the Muslim-Americans would. After all the Vaults not only doubled as twisted experiments, but also a way to keep the populations of the United States alive. Just because there hasn't been any characters who suggest that Islam has ceased to exist doesn't mean it's completely shut down. There are after all plenty of places across the country with significant Muslim populations which would have been there before Fallout's history divergence, or in the case of any and all immigration between the forties and 2070 would have laid foundations for continuing growth of Arab-Americans.

And with the vastness of the former United States unexplored by the games it's very likely that they could still be there, like the Mormons in Utah. Just in a smaller concentration. And the area of Detroit - in particular Dearborn - are particularly unexplored by canon and just as well open to the wide and wonderful world of fanon.

And Dearborn holds call to the majority of the United State's currently 3.5 million Arab Americans. The 'burbs of Detroit also has a Bektashi chapter which was established in the fifties, the era the game holds claim to in its retro-future feel. Giving further support to such a fanon possibility.

I was thinking something more...wastelander-ish. I don't think there would be anyone in the wasteland with knowledge of Islam.

You doubt the Greater Detroit Area.
Depends. Can I be a Bektashite?

Another fantasy NRP set in a Europe-esque setting. It's as if the other six continents do not exist in the NRP section.

We need more fantasy zulu.
And I double checked the Royal Italian Army's size and you are right, they were considerably large. Almost disproportionately.

And I called in Googer, but he's playin' Total War so I don't know if he got the message or will be on the way in. But it'd be nice to probably talk to him since he's had a big effect on Italy in RP lore and is the major power in Europe (that's active, at least).
Also the history flies in what we've left as the nation's canon.

"Fought on the side of the Allied Powers during the Great War. Invaded by the Ottoman Empire in the early 1970s. Spanish support helps secure the northern part of the country and halt the Ottoman advance. By 1974, the Spanish governor of Northern Italy - Aurelio Batista - rules the north alone. Later, Batista goes on to push the Ottomans out of Southern Italy. Shortly after, he cuts his ties to Spain. He rules Italy with an iron fist for several years.

In 1976, Italian rebels begin to fight back against the Batistan regime. Spain - enraged that Batista refused to heel - begins to secretly assist the rebel cause. In early 1977, Spain declares war on Batista's regime and engages in open warfare. Batista flees the country and the rebels take over, forming a new government."

It's in the the three OP posts, under European lore summaries.

The military is also considerably bloated. And using the current active-duty service members as a base Italy only really has a 200,000 strong army, roughly 300,000 with the reserve. And I don't think the Italians were ever so much of a naval power they needed - or could ever muster - something like an aircraft carrier in order to project their power, their influence has only been localized.

We'll also need Googer here.
I need to get back on that.
