It probably is. I never end up reading notes, and am therefore not motivated to attempt to take good ones.

I've never read notes before either. But I refined a note-taking system for both my school and for lectures. Although I don't suppose you could really say that the latter is particularly... refined.

I just write whatever I think is important as fast as I can. It's actually a surprisingly effective tactic.
