I was confused at that for a moment, but then I considered that the cannibal probably just misconstrued the statement as delivered towards him. Which... in hindsight, doesn't really make much sense.

The only thing I'm still confused about other than the capital "you" is why whizz thought the joke worked if the cannibal isn't human. :/
I assumed that cannibal just meant "eats their own kind". Therefore, I assumed the cannibal thought that the bar didn't serve his kind of "food", and therefore he should leave.
