"Okay then, I guess you're not here to make friends.

Cho sensed the hostility of the woman way before her shield went up, but he kept his distance. This lady had appeared seemingly out of nowhere, armed to the teeth and with an intent to seemingly cause hurt.

Then again, this was an arena and arenas were where people came to fight. Cho guessed that she was the same, no doubt told by whatever high powers that she followed. It was eerily similar to his encounter with Kolskegg, when he was human.

He wouldn't take a chance this time.

This warrior had only a sword, spear and shield with her, along with armour. Using his sniper rifle here would be overkill. That being said, he flipped Tac's bipod down and took off the sling, moving slowly to the side to set the sniper rifle down on a nearby piece of marble. His remaining three weapons would do the trick, he surmised, and he'd probably be using his knife a lot more. Tac wasn't very pleased.

"Boss? Again? Really?"

He chuckled and sighed.

"Relax, Tac. You'll get your chance. Besides, it's not like I already use you a lot in regular missions, right?"

The daemon, and by extension the rifle, harrumphed in resignation.

"Ugh, fine. But not again, y'hear me? Next fight you're taking me along!"

Inwardly Cho could imagine the plague demon crossing his arms in defeat.

Focus. This is a fight.

Right.

He took Kris into his hands and shouldered the submachine gun. The shadow daemon within giggled with glee as Cho thumbed off the safety and held her in a low ready stance.

"Ooh! Ooh! New person to shoot! Glee!"

"Patience, Kris. Relax."

The soldier glanced down at the gun. It seemed like she was...grinning? He couldn't tell.

Cho returned his gaze to the warrior ahead of him. She'd backed up against a large broken pillar, her shield blocking most of her body and her spear creating a very good reason not to get too close to her.

"Warrior, at least give me thy name! It would not be fair if I were to fight a nameless hero!"
@Imaginary Oh, it means that the pistol projectiles that affect the shield can possibly weaken the shield to the point of it having chunks broken off of it.

Think it something like making something shatter after it's been doused with liquid nitrogen.

Also will get a post up later. Kinda busy right now.
Here would be more likely though.
@Hexaflexagon I think maybe if @Nevermind doesn't post today, maybe we should just keep the story going. If we wait too long this is gonna stall and it's gonna die.
@Imaginary Its projectiles would splatter against the shield and harden into black crystals, weakening the shield. If he shoots the crystal formations again, they shatter, causing a large amount of damage, possibly breaking the shield entirely or just chunks of it.

Hmmh. I thought I'd explained his weapon abilities enough. I guess not.

Anything else you don't understand? I can explain it all. o.o
@Juka Gearsworth I think this is just a place to post your arenas, even though I don't think Dynamo has to be around to vet them or anything.

@Hexaflexagon Yo Hex, you still with us?
@Nevermind You too?
@Rilla Hey Rilla, did I write the motivations clearly enough? D:
Suddenly the arena erupted with sound, making him start slightly, bringing Kris up to bear on the ghostly apparitions that appeared in the stands.

"Woah what's going on who are those people can we shoot them please please please please -"

"No, Kris. Those are ghosts. They must've reacted to something."

"Ahead of us."

Tac spoke up from his long silence, pointing out a figure ahead of them that wasn't glowing or translucent. A figure clad in a robe that was discarded in short order.

"Tre'Yan."

He recognised the figure in the photo as the very same...man (thing?) standing in front of him. True to form, Tre'Yan took up a boxing stance as soon as he was spotted. The man was expecting a fight.

"Boss, you need us?"

"Nope. I only need one of you."

Cho strode forward to close the distance between the two. Nearby, on a conveniently placed shield, he laid down first Kris, then Hek after he drew the pistol from its holster. Then he removed Tac from his shoulder and laid him down gently on the dirt, flipping out his attached bipod to make the rifle...comfortable? At ease? He didn't know.

"What're - what are you doing boss?!"
"Boss?"
"What's going on, boss?"

"Relax, fellas. I got this."

He gave the weapons a brief glance, then returned his attention to the boxer in front of him. With one hand, he drew Barr from his sheath, and with the other he unzipped his combat vest and dropped it to the ground.

"Tre'Yan T'Mass, the Raeym Corporation extends its regards. Recently, they have been...concerned about the losses you've cost the company after your two losses previously. Now, it's none of my business about how you lost and why, but they've hired me to make sure debts are paid in full. And they wanted me to do the job...up close. Nothing personal."

Cho brandished the knife in a backhand grip and adopted a simple stance; knife hand close to his face, blade pointing outward, free hand loose and easy in front of that with palm open and facing his opponent, left foot forward and right foot back, body in a slight crouch.

"Alright, boss! We gonna carve this guy up or what!?"

"Don't underestimate him, Barr. I've heard that Tre'Yan is an amazing boxer. We're going to have quite the fight on our hands."
