Johnny panted and let his legs fall to the floor. He was too crushed to even move. His chest could barely lift under the strain of all the gravity, and his lungs and heart were gasping for air and oxygen. His legs could stand the weight easily enough, he'd trained with heavy cast-iron weights on his lower legs back in Basin, after all. His body, however, wasn't trained to that extent, and he was suffering for it.

This was far from a fair fight. As much as he hated to admit it, the further he fought the worse it got for him. It was only a matter of time before he conceded defeat.

From his place on the floor, he craned his neck forward to get sight of his foe.

He was advancing forward with cruel intent.

He could only defend at this point, and air pressure could override the crushing gravity easily enough.

By creating sheaths of compressed air under his calves and heels, he detonated them and used the force to flip himself up and over, executing a backward roll onto his feet. He planted both hands on the floor, feet wide and legs wide as his body bent close to the floor.

He had to do it.

The Crash.

The innocents in the room would suffer, but he had to ensure he had the advantage.

Bracing himself, he gathered all the strength he could muster and took the deepest breath he could manage. It would give him about a minute of life to deal with his strongest area attack.

He gathered air, more than he'd normally use, compressing it into bundles and sheaths around his legs. Of course, since the room was so huge, there was a huge amount of air, and the more he compressed, the less it would be like a bullet, and more a bomb. He'd only pulled this off several times, to extremely good effect. No fire, no fuss, just a compressed air bomb that destroyed environments and left him unscathed. Usually.

He struggled to stand upright, even as his legs sucked more and more air out of the room, accelerating the process of creating two huge invisible bombs around his waist. The air would get thinner and thinner with each second, making it harder and harder to breathe. Next to this, he built two balls of compressed air underneath his feet, completely separate from the bombs he was making. He'd use the balls to blast himself into the air as the final prep for the Crash.

The air by now had reached the consistency of extreme high altitudes in the span of a second and a half.

It was time.

Johnny detonated the balls of air under his feet, rocketing into the air past the higher gravity. He barely reached halfway up the room before that same force began pulling him back down, faster than normal.

With his mind, he shifted the air so all of what he gathered was now under his falling feet in a massive bubble.

When he impacted the ground a second later, it took him an additional split second for the bubble to compress, before it popped.

The shockwave created was massive and intense, in similarity to a high yield explosive detonating in the center of the room. The rapidly expanding air drove everything not bolted or tied down against the walls and ceiling. Glass vaporised, wood shredded and people screamed and were hurled around like confetti amidst the chaos within the center.

And, in its epicenter, a tired, stressed out Johnny, seemingly unaffected by the whole deal.

The created blast would be something akin to standing way too close to a military jet taking off from a standstill, and expanded around Johnny in a sphere, crushing everything and sparing nothing.

Not even gravity would change any of this.
@Skallagrim But I thought I was already a pushover.
These are the times that make me wish we were set somewhere past Mass Effect 2. XD

Hazan...hmm. He's the sort of person that spends his time alone or with one or two friends. Drinking, playing cards, talking about life, that sorta thing.

I think the thing you'd find him doing the most is wandering somewhere outside, in the dark, gazing out at Omega or the stars and just thinking, contemplating life. Alone. Maybe with his rifle and a few empty bottles to shoot. He isn't very sociable for reasons of war and stuff, even though he gets along with the team fine, he can be quite awkward in proper social situations.

And he'd read. He does chat via email with his friend in the Citadel on a regular basis, along with the news. It wouldn't be too far off to see Hazan seated in the group's headquarters, a hot mug of whatever amino-stable breakfast drink in one hand, a holopad on the other with the latest issue of ANN on it. Being a morning person does that to ya.
@Dynamo Frokane I just happen to be a little bit of a gun nut. So sue me. XD
.... I don't know I thought Rilla was our judge D:

I'm now confused halp D:
Maybe we should let our judge @Rilla decide on post order, to avoid a small argument erupting over it. D:
As the monk's bracer covered arm deflected his blade, he saw him raise up his right arm to bring it down hard against his back. There wasn't any avoiding this so he let the hit come. Besides, there was an advantage to being on the floor.

The elbow smacked right onto the meat of his back, sending him down towards the ground. However, as the monk foolishly swung his knee upward for what he presumed was to be a knee to the face, all he did to avoid it was to shift and turn over to the left slightly, since he was mostly on the floor at that point with his right side facing the monk.

A moment was all it took for Daniel to switch the grip on his katana from backhand to forehand, and he used the monk's raising knee as a point of weakness. With a flick of his wrist and a raise of his right arm, he brought his sword up between the monk's legs, the blade aimed for the bottom of his right thigh, near the back of the knee joint. The blow was angled slightly with a shift of his wrist so that the blade would cut perpendicular to the rising knee and, though light, had the momentum of his wrist flick behind it and would cut deep from how sharp the sword was.
Well we could get the introduction posts out of the way first. Those don't have any order, right?

So, should the order be Khan, you, me then IN?

Or Khan, IN, me then you?
Did I ever mention that Itsuki is my answer to the question "is there such a thing as a killer genki girl?"

Gratuitous Japanese ho!

itsukireaper9

Itsuki finished her tweets and tapped the button to send them off to cyberspace, just as the rift disgorged her in a large, mostly empty room. Beside her stood her companion, the "stuffy British guy" with whom she was paired with got this contract.

"Well, seems like we made it in one piece."

Her mission was simple: within these ruins there was a book, a very special book, and she was to retrieve it. Inside the book were secrets meant for inhuman eyes, but not hers. All she knew was that her employer was paying her an exorbitant amount to retrieve this book.

However she had been warned of resistance. A rival corporation had hired two other mercenaries to retrieve the book as well, and they were here, no doubt. She had been told to handle them using force, of course, but no guns. Her boss didn't want a stray bullet to damage the tome.

She hated that rule, and so did her guns.

Her shotgun, Hana, and her pistol, Goku, were seated within their holsters on her back. She'd have to leave them here for the mission, leaving her with her sword and dagger, Akuma and Sei.

Just then, her companion spoke. A big, muscular man called Tordor, his voice was light and accented, since he was British and all.

“We should get started. The Lady mentioned we might run into trouble if we took too long. We might not be the only ones looking for this thing.”

"Mmm. Might as well disarm then. No guns, remember?"

Her voice was quite accented with her native Japanese, even though she'd been speaking English for as long as she'd become a Reaper. She was the second newest amongst the Four Horsemen, the newest being the Russian, Nataliya. The rest of her team wasn't here though, they were all busy doing their own thing for now.

She drew her guns and placed them gently on empty racks nearby. As her hands left her shotgun the two weapons apparently awoke, judging from the eyes that opened sleepily to gaze at her.

"Eh? Itsuki-chan? Nan desuka?"
(Eh? Itsuki? What's up?)

Her pistol, Goku, spoke first. He was the quicker of the lot, though also quick to anger. She smiled as she gave the top of the little gun a pat.

"Daijobu, Goku. Watashi wa shibarakunoaida nokoshite imasu."
(It's okay, Goku. I'm just leaving you here for a while.)

Goku's eyes widened. The little pistol started hopping about in his rack angrily as she knelt to be on their level.

"Nani?! Naze anata wa, ni sotte atsukamashī chīsana on'nanoko ga watashi o toru koto ga dekima -"
(What?! How dare you leave me here, you impudent little gi -)

"Goku-san."

"Eh?"

Hana, below him, signed and shook its...head? Barrel? Itsuki couldn't tell.

"Watashitachiha, Itsuki wa, kanojo ga yatte, naze tan'ni rirakkusu shite daun shizumerute inai koto o shitte iru kakushin shite imasu ka? Anata wa nokori no bubun ni ōku no jikan o sagashite ita iimasendeshita ka?"
(We are sure that Itsuki knows what she's doing, so just relax and quieten down, okay? You did say you wanted time to relax by yourself, right?)

"Sh-shikashi, kanojo wa totsuzen no nai basho no man'naka de watashitachi o hōki suru hitsuyō wa arimasen!"
(B-but she doesn't have to abandon us here by ourselves!)

"Gokū, daijōbudesu. Mata, watashi wa Akuma-san to watashi to Sei-san o motte imasu. Daijōbu."
(Goku, it's okay. Besides, I have Akuma-san and Sei-san with me. It's okay.)

At that, the pistol settled down, grumbling under his breath. She smiled. Her little Goku could be such a handful at times.

As the pistol and shotgun got comfortable in their racks, she stood and rolled her shoulders. Only two weapons remained on her: an elegant katana with a black sheath gilded with flowers, and a shorter knife in its own sheath. The two weapons were attached to her back by way of several vines that grew out of her. Itsuki walked back to where her colleague stood and smiled sheepishly.

"Sorry. Having living weapons is like raising children. They all throw tantrums every now and then."

She extended her hand for the man to shake.

"Ishida Itsuki. Reaper of Famine. A pleasure."
