Fine, here have a fucking post.

I'm done. Hate people being fucking dicks. Fuck this.
Marcus, Audrey and Cole.

@Virani

"Caramel latte! Extra caramel, extra cream!"

"Got it boss!"

Marcus placed a cup of milk underneath the steam spout of the café's coffee machine and gave it a frothing, even as coffee dribbled gently from the filter into a porcelain mug set underneath it. Once the mug was almost full he pulled it away and stopped the drip, adding a hefty amount of caramel syrup and full cream into the coffee as he stirred the dark liquid with a spoon. Then he poured in just the right amount of milk to make a nice creamy layer on top, and topped that with a dash of caramel and a sprinkling of brown sugar for added sweetness. Then he placed the steaming mug onto a plate and stepped out from behind the bar to deliver the drink.

The café today was quiet; the mid afternoon crowds had petered out to a light sprinkling of patrons spread out amongst the tables. It wasn't late enough for people to be off work, which meant a more relaxed atmosphere instead of the hustle and bustle of the working crowd looking for a cuppa. His boss, Audrey, was on the register, as usual, and his colleague and friend John Cole was in the kitchen doing a stock check. A handful of patrons inhabited the café, including his target today: one Cora Dubois. He ambled over to her and set the mug down on her table, smiling and tipping his baseball cap while he did so.

"There ya go, miss Cora. Caramel latte, extra caramel and cream, just like you always order. If'n there's anything else you need, just head up to the counter."

Marcus gave her a wink as he ambled back to the counter, eliciting a groan from Audrey. As he squeezed past her to get back behind the bar she slapped him in the chest with another receipt, making him yelp in surprise.

"Ow! What -"

"Another order, casanova. Latté, double espresso. And please, stop hitting on every poor devushka that walks into my café."

"Aw c'mon boss, I ain't gonna hurt 'em or nothin'. Besides, Cora's been in here for months now, on a regular basis. She's cool."

"No thanks to you, now get to work!"

"Y-yes ma'am."

As Marcus retreated to the bar to make the next order, Cole emerged from the back kitchen, a clipboard in his hand and a frown on his face. He approached Audrey and tapped her on the shoulder.

"U-uh, ma'am Audrey?"

With a quiet sigh she softened her expression and turned to him.

"Yes, John?"

"We're out of mozzarella, and, um, linguini too. Also, um, rye bread and plastic cups."

She sighed and squeezed the bridge of her nose.

"Well, we can't stand around and do nothing. Marcus!"

He looked up from the drink he was finished making and cocked an eyebrow. She scowled as he approached her, drink in hand. Without any warning she took the drink from him and slapped the clipboard and paper on his chest.

"We are missing things. You will go down to corner store to buy. Go now."

With a weary sigh he took the paper and stowed it in a pocket.

"Alright boss."

Marcus headed outside and went for his bike, which was clamped to a nearby lamp post. The corner store in question wasn't far, and as he unlocked the clamp and saddled up he relished in the opportunity to get away from work and enjoy the wind in his hair. He took off his apron, stuffed it in a pocket and sped off, bike wheels spinning rapidly as he shot away from the café.

Audrey watched her employee pop a wheelie as he cycled off and sighed.

"One day that blyad will be the death of me."

As Cole watched in wonder, she went back inside, heading for her own escape at the end of a cigarette, leaving the boy to tend to the register on his own.
You're mean. :(
Oh my god I just realised I lost my post.
@Kingfisher So are we freshly arriving on the planet, or have we traveled there on the Outlander?
@Kingfisher How are we tasked of entry? Like, following the Captain, or something else?
@Virani Gonna make a post!
Daniel instinctively covered his face as an explosion rocked the hall. A corpse flew their way as beings made of shadow and whose weapons were dark and glistening with blood approached them.

Skallagrim gave him a glance as he readied his weapon.

"This is not your fight, Daniel. You should go."

He merely scoffed and drew his sword, holding it askance from his head in his right hand, blade outward as he held up his left hand in a "come hither" position, assuming his sword fighting stance as the winged shadow beings towered over them.

"Like hell I'm leaving."

As the Forgotten swarmed towards him, his black blade glistened with oncoming frost, and as he swung it shards of ice shot from his sword, burying themselves into those that came towards him even as his blade met that of a Forgotten. His left hand shot forward, grabbing the Forgotten's wrist and pulling it towards himself, even as his sword hand released the blade lock, twisting his black blade round to the left to chop its head off as he yanked it past him. The beast's black corpse fell past him even as another charged him, and he met its downward swing with his raised sword. With the clash of metal ringing in his ears, he shot his left hand forward again, grabbing its weapon hand to pull it forward as he chopped his blade down, severing its hand from its wrist. As it screeched in pain, he flipped the hand around so its blade was facing it and drove it straight through its skull.

Daniel fell back a step as that corpse fell to the ground, and was immediately buffeted by the winds that echoed past him as Skallagrim flew by, crashing through a wall that separated the hall from a main lobby where more innocents ran around in a panic, trying to get through escape portals on the other side.

"Skall!"

Abandoning the fight for now, he ran towards the lobby area, where his skeletal friend was engaging in combat with a bigger shadow fiend, one armed with a huge glaive that was on a collision course with his pal. He coated his feet in ice and speed skated towards the conflict, reaching the barricade just in time. With his momentum he took a step onto the barricade and leaped into the air, twisting around to his left while his left hand drew his pistol and fired all the bullets in his magazine into the fiend's face.

His momentum led him on a path straight down in front of Skall, and as he landed he ejected the magazine from his pistol and slapped in a fresh one from his belt, the racking of the slide louder in the sudden silence. With a backward glance, he grinned as he raised and readied his sword, his right hand holding the blade so it rested gently on his shoulders behind his head, left hand holding his pistol pointed straight at the dark terror that stood before them.

"You're the one that brought me here, Skall, and I'd rather be dead than miss a chance to fight with you instead of against you this time!"
Lol. XD
I usually keep my intro posts short and succinct. If it's supposed to have a story, maybe longer.
