Reach was once a bastion of human civilization. But it was consumed by the plasma fires of an old war. Still, it held on. It came back, reformed, rebuilt, regrown. But the Flood didn't care for what Reach represnted. They only saw it as something else to _consume_. _Consume, consume, consume_. That's all the parasitic abominations could think, swarming in hordes through the streets of New Alexandria. _Consume, consume, consume_. Screams were dying down, now. New Alexandria presented little challenge at this point. With so few combat forms and two hundred infection forms, it was difficult to press on the city. But one made it through. It only takes one spark to start a fire. _Consume, consume, consume_. They must eat... I-we-must... Eat... I... I have to fight it! _Consume, consume, consume_. Stop... Please... _Consume, consume, consume_. I... I can't... Can't... C-c-on... _Consume, consume, consume_. C-c-on-consume... _Consume, consume, consume_. Consume... Consume... Consume... _Consume, consume, consume_. Consume, consume, consume. _Consume, consume, consume_. _Consume, consume, consume_. _We are the Flood. You are the Flood. We are all._
I'm interested, but I'm new to the arena section, so I'm not sure what I'd need on the CS...
I suppose I'll be doing this, then. OOC will be up probably at some time during the weekend.
Mkay. So, I'm thinking the following would be OK for characters: -Civilians -ONI Personnel -UNSC Marines, Army, or Navy -Small amount of Spartans -ODSTs -A sangheili/elite or two(I'm thinking only elites that are friendly to humans, but we can have Storm Covenant elites if people want it. And if we have an elite maybe we could have someone be an unggoy/grunt that is employed by the elite, for comic relief.)
> Limitations on the type & number of characters we can play? I'd be thinking one to two characters for each of us. And a MAXIMUM of two Spartans. And, of course, who gets the Spartan slots would be decided by CS quality.
((Assuming I can drop in using a character from an already established universe uvu)) Name: Robert-016 Gender: Male Age: 27 Appearance: [MJOLNIR Armor](http://imgur.com/9uNdVF7) World: UNSC Controlled Space, Earth, Alternate Universe World Description: The UNSC controls a large portion of space with the capitol of Planet Earth. Power: SPARTAN II Augmentation + MJOLNIR Powered Armor Power(s)' Description: The augmentation and training granted to Candidate 016 has catapulted him over every normal human subject, and his armor amplifies his combat efficiency. Speed- Spartan Robert maintains an average speed of 40 MPH, and brief bursts of 55 MPH by temporarily overloading MJOLNIRs speed capacitors. Strength- Robert has strength that has never been properly measured, due to danger to the trainers. In the field, Robert has shown the capacity to flip a 66 ton M808 Battle Tank over, lift 15 metric tons of equipment in a non-combat scenario, with possibly more strength when under pressure. Reaction Time- Just under fifteen miliseconds in combat. Robert has been reported to occasionally see things happening in slow motion, during what is called "Spartan Time." Training- Robert has received advanced military training since the age of six. He is able to out-think his opponents more often than not, and has the skill and ability to preform countless advanced combat maneuvers. Master of hand-to-hand combat as well as ranged, Robert can also adapt to learn new weapons to strategies quickly. MJOLNIR Armor: MJOLNIR armor is a major key to his success. It allows him to achieve the strength and speed listed, and is also equipped with a regenerating energy shielding system that can take a small amount of damage, titanium-A armor plating, and magnetic plates for his weapons. The armor also have biofoam injectors that heal his wounds after a period of time in which no damage was taken(one min. or more w/o damage). Equipment: -MA5D Assault Rifle: Semiautomatic weapon. 32 round magazine, he carries 224 rounds extra into battle with him(total of 8 magazines, counting the one already loaded.) -M6H Pistol: High-powered sidearm, good for headshots. 8 rounds to a magazine, 32 rounds extra. (5 mags total) -SPNKR Rocket Launcher: Rocket launcher, fires rockets at high velocity. 6 rockets total, only two may be loaded at a time. Weaknesses: -if MJOLNIR is EMP'd or sufficiently electrocuted, it will stop running, causing Robert to be severely impaired and nigh motionless in a fight. -Sufficient damage will destroy MJOLNIR and its occupant. - There's always the possibility of running out of ammo. -The idea of 'powers' is completely new to Robert, and in the first five or so minutes of a fight they may be taken advantage of before Robert beings to understand their limits. Backstory: Robert was born on planet Earth. He lived a normal childhood until age six; when he was abducted by the Government. The Office of Naval Intelligence decided they needed a team of badasses stronger than an entire platoon of marines- Their answer was The SPARTAN II program. Robert, along with his companions, were trained to be the deadliest force in the galaxy- And they were. They were augmented and given power armor- Then they were next to unstoppable, destroying many operations by the insurrectionists. Unstoppable until the Covenant came, anyway. The Covenant were a race of aliens bent on destroying humanity. The Spartans, Robert included, fought hard. The war went on for years, but eventually, thanks to the efforts of another Spartan, it was won. But many of Roberts friends were dead. He was reassigned from the Navy to a new branch, the Spartan Branch. After a few successful missions he was visiting an ancient alien site, accidentally activating some technology. This technology zapped him to some alternate universe- Where he was told he was a 'champion'. He didn't know what that was supposed to mean, but he knew what he'd use his wish for- To get back to UNSC controlled space.
Would anyone be down for a Halo RP, based on the idea that Flood have begun taking over human worlds? It'd be almost like a zombie RP, but with a Halo setting. If people are are interested, I'd want to go with the idea that the UNSC are beginning to fragment, unable to keep order with the rampaging infection, so we'd be without orders in the new, crazy world, or maybe a few of us could be civilians. Our primary goal would be to survive and stuff. Thoughts?
Name - Grant Smith Alias - Indigo Powers - Advanced combat training. Indigo has been militarily indoctrinated since his birth, and is completely loyal to the US Government. His costume has been made with the explicit purpose of maximum protection for minimal cost- It's comprised of kevlar, giving him a good amount of protection and a very slim profile on the battlefield. His gloves and boots are the only metal part of his suit, giving him maximum punching and kicking power. His cape is fire-proof, as well. Due to his augmentations, Indigo has a maximum lifting strength of 1 metric ton with some difficulty(theoretical absolute maximum of 1.5 to 2 metric tons, though untested due to potential danger to subject), a maximum speed of twenty five miles per hour(subject once achieved thirty MPH, but his Achilles tendon snapped in the process)., and improved reaction time. He carries twin pistols, an assault rifle, anti-material rifle, six grenades(two smoke, two frag two flashbang), lockpicks, tazer, a small amount of shaped explosive charges(ranging from the ability to blast through a doorknob to blast open a man-sized hole in a wall). Weakness - Human things. Bullets, physical damage, etc. Minimal resistance to psychics due to severe trauma at the death of his team. Experience - Training since birth. Field experience two years. Appearance - [Costume(but the cape, mask, gloves, and boots and indigo colored)](http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/infamous-rpg/images/c/c3/The_Darkness.jpg/revision/latest/scale-to-width/368?cb=20130718012408),[Face(except with both eyes)](http://img3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20110330231711/rvb/images/7/72/YorkFace.png) Age - 20 Brief Bio - Indigo is a product of Project: Color, a program of the U.S Military. Project Color's origins trace back to the HERO/HUNTER program by the PMC C-Tech. C-Tech conscripted two children and forced them into training, producing the super-soldiers Blue and Red. The company was shut down, but if gave the government their own idea- What if they made their own supersoldiers? Blue and Red were signed on as trainers after a short service records of two years in their respective fields. Blue would train a division specializing in urban warfare and civilian protection, where Red would train a unit of soldiers for secret deployment in the war front, though, both units would often train in tandem. Project Color began the same as HERO/HUNTER, searching for specific genetic markers in a set of adults. But it was different, this time. Instead of abducting children, the government subliminally influenced them to donate to sperm and egg banks. Their genetics were taken and this time, twelve children were made. Six to Blue team, six to Red team. The children were given first names at random, and nondescript last names. For example, Grant Smith. Their code names were varying shades of color- for example, Indigo, Maroon, etc. Teams Blue and red were trained, meals laced with chemicals, like in HERO/HUNTER. However, this time, due to different budgets and superior access to technology, rather than being given power armor, at age twelve, the children underwent augmentation process to make them faster, stronger, and better than the average human, no armor needed. Their training was similar, if a deal more rigorous, to HERO/HUNTER. Units have also undergone accurate battlefield simulations, with a nigh perfect service record. At age eighteen, team Red was sent to war, and team Blue was deployed to hunt for evil superhumans. After several successful kills, the team encountered a superhuman that was ready for them- The warehouse was rigged to blow, the bomb was specially created to be undetectable to their equipment. All of Team Blue was killed, except for Grant, Indigo. The Government reassessed their situation, and after a few months, discontinued Project Color, no more future generations would be trained. Research efforts were instead put into the possibility of artificial superhuman powers. However Team Red still operates in the field, and Indigo continues hero work in Millennium City. Notes - Occasionally experiences flashbacks to his team, and their deaths. Commitment - Shooting for a minimum of 3 a week, possibly a bit less at times due to school.
Kurt watched disinterestedly as Artemis made her entrance. This one was okay. Maybe six out of ten. Artemis has such a penchant for over the top entrances it had become almost mundane. He watched as she tackled Julius and threatened him. Mildly entertaining, to be sure, but not entirely out the ordinary. Probably quite the spectacle for the students, however.
Kurt walked through the great hall, reaching the Ravenclaw table, looking through the sea of heads for his friend. He smelled a wonderful toffee smell coming from somewhere, and was about to go investigate, when he spotted Terrence in the hordes of other Ravenclaws. He started pushing his way through people, making his way to his friend.
Indigo stood in the center of a street, staring into a complex. The glass doors were completely shattered, and there were clear burn marks around it- indicating an explosive device used to 'open' the glass doors. Unnecessarily sloppy, in Indigo's opinion. Whoever these people were they wanted in and out very quickly.
He was mildly surprised he had been sent here, instead of the developing situation at the ball drop. But he had no doubt several other heroes would be on the scene, and he'd grown used to working alone. Something about going it alone had an allure to him. Easier stealth, the joy of victory... No more fear of loss...
He shook his thoughts away. He surveyed the opening further, focusing on the vans. Probably used to reach here, the question was, would they be used to get away? Hopefully. He only had enough shaped charges for one enemy-killing explosion. If they didn't take the vans he'd have to improvise a bit more. Assuming they took the vans? Well, his job got a whole lot easier.
He approached the vans quickly, his boots making not a sound on the concrete. He approached the gas tank of the center van and pulled a small item from his belt. He shaped it quickly, placing it on the underside of the vehicle. He set it to receiver channel one- and his detonator the same. He went around to the other vans, placing explosives on their gas tanks- All receiver channel one.
"Shaped charges, a man's best friends." He thought to himself, moving past the vans and approaching the complex. He crouched, outside of the doors, hiding in a bush rather unceremoniously. He pulled out his assault rifle screwing a silencer on. It would turn the weapons barking fire into a barely audible cough. He thought for a moment before inserting an cartridge of shredder rounds, designed for tearing through flesh and light armor. Unless these guys were kitted out with anything better than low grade kevlar they'd be destroyed by a burst of them, internal organs torn apart.
He stayed in the bush, waiting for his prey to come out.
