So, about the skills, how does it make sense that our characters are masters at certain things, but complete failures at everything else? I mean, suppose I tag Speech, Guns, and Sneak. Am I completely awful at repair? How am I a master of the operation of firearms yet have no idea how to take care of one? I'd suggest adding another section to the character, where you can put two or three skills that you are proficient at(NOT a master at), perhaps as long as you explain how it is related to one of the three skills you have mastered...?

EDIT: Reading over this again, I apologize if it comes off as hostile.
Count me in, then. Will people be expected to organize themselves into "teams" on different ships, and compete with one another, then?

Well, your character is expected to do whatever they think is best for them, whether that be organizing themselves onto a team, going it alone, or simply murdering people because why not?

Interested! Most definitely.

Question: How bad to our characters have to be to survive? Could I get by palming bribes and turning a blind eye to violence, or would I have to indulge in some puppy kicking to get by?

Accepting bribes is most definitely okay.

Anyway, OOC should be up sometime either Sunday or Monday. I apologize for how late that is, but this has been a rather busy week for me.
Apologies for such a late response, I've been extremely busy today.

That said, the question that first comes to my mind is "What is 'evil' here?" Do people use all of their powers for evil because evil is awesome, or are you saying people are generally amoral in their decision-making, and it just looks evil to us?

Do people IC register what they do as evil, even? Or is genocide just your average news story, not worth mourning in the slightest unless you're a psychotic vigilante?

Allow me to offer you an analogy- Imagine the worst neighborhood in a city you've ever heard of. Some place plagued with gangs and crime, some place so scary that even the cops don't like thinking about it. The people in it aren't evil for the sake of evil, or necessarily amoral. People do bad things for many reason, be it wanting power or money, greed, revenge, having a bad background, anything.

To answer IC response, once again, return to the analogy of the terrible neighborhood. Imagine that neighborhood, except it expands across a few solar systems. Somewhere, somehow, there will be at least once depraved bastard who thinks genocide is a perfectly moral thing. On the other side of the same coin, there will be those who realize what they do is wrong, but keep doing it anyway out of necessity. As for public response, people generally try to put it out of thier minds. Politicians will make a show out of some kind of effort to improve economy there, or brings jobs and clean up to that sector of the galaxy, when in reality they simply say those things to scrounge of extra votes. There was a time when the place would make the news, but now such terrible things happen so often there, nothing except the most monstrous activities ever make galactic news.

And what's the focus of this? What are the characters we're playing as trying to accomplish, if we're trying to do anything? Truth be told, a single-thread RP is rarely fun for me unless it's got a clear goal for the characters to try to reach, even if it's just a MacGuffin, because it's a reason why protagonists don't just go on their merry way and enjoy their own story completely separately from other characters.

Every character will be advised to have their own goal, but there will be two main plots that will intersect with each other at various points.
The first is the pursuit of the legend of one of the greatest criminals of all time. Their ill gotten gains and the secret of their power are all said to be hidden somewhere in the galaxy, and it's up to the scum of the universe to find it. There will be plenty of back stabs and shootings and a generous amount of homicide and explosions in the hunt for the fabled treasure.
Of course, characters may also choose to pursue an alternate interest, partaking in the crime of the century. A genius man has been going around the seedy part of the galaxy, taking on anyone that will help him in his plan- Stealing everything in the Governments federal reserve, then making off with it through use of the fastest space faring vessel in the Government's hands.
Gonna wait for a few more til I get the OOC up.
Traditional Science Fiction stories will tell you tales of the justified side of things. They'll tell you about the heroes protecting the galaxy, or the young rebels fighting against an unjust government. Traditional Sci-Fi stories stay away from the dark, though. In those stories, yes, things may get grim at times, but it never gets dirty. You don't typically see those paragons of morality getting down and dirt and doing something genuinely wrong. Sci-Fi doesn't let you look into the grimy, festering holes of the scum and villainy in the galaxy, murders and thieves, rapists and drug dealers, or the goddamn insane pigs and vigilantes trying to bring them in. It's a scary world out there, and people will do what they want.

Imagine a world with Space Age Technology. Faster Than Light travel and communications, advancing medical technology, advanced weapons and defensive technology, androids and robots, cybernetic augmentations, and as much as 10% of the population having superpowers passed down from thier advent generations ago. And just imagine, all of those things used for evil. Maniacs with fire powers and a plasma based hand grenade senselessly murdering train fulls of people, or some idiot and his bastard children having a drug trade across the stars. The kidnappers and the corrupt all wallowing in their filth. And that's the world of Underbelly.

So... Anyone interested?
Very interested. Now, who to play? Decisions, decisions, decisions...
Eobard Thawne didn't like travel. An experience with time travel makes one... Reluctant to go much place else. But here he was, Gotham City. He'd once heard a quote of streets being nothing more than extended gutters, and it was never more true than for Gotham. Human slime waited around every corner, the lowest class of criminal, scum who reveled in their muck only to steal purses from little old ladies. Such petty tasks- Criminals these days hardly had vision. That was what Eobard had that the others didn't- Vision. He had his intricate plan all laid out, his masterstroke. It would put him as the true king of the earth, and his throne would be built of the broken bodies of each Justice Leauger. He'd have a sword made from the Flash's spinal cord, and a shield of Batman's rib cage. And now, he was here to acquire the shield.

Most villains seemed to have a hard time of figuring out who the Bat was, but Thawne completed such a simple task in a single afternoon. It had taken only a few minutes for Zoom to thoroughly analyze every scrap of data on every Leaguer in history. It was easy to convince a hacker to access Justice League systems when you'd pulled the still beating hearts out of each of his friends torsos, before ripping off their limbs and utilizing them to beat compliance into the hacker. Now Zoom was fully aware of every weakness and secret I.D. of each Justice Leauge member. The Flash, Barry Allen, was already known to him, but the others were interesting. Superman, Clark Kent, Lanterns John Stewart and Hal Jordan, and the one he was here for, The batman- Bruce Wayne.

Zoom held in his hands a complete floormap of Wayne Manor- Cross referenced with historical data and his findings from the Justice Leauge computer. the infamous Bat-Cave stood out like a sore thumb. Zoom was sure Batman was there now- Over the course of a few dozen miliseconds he'd done an entire sweep of the city, finding the Bat nowhere. The only logical location was the cave.

Zoom was there in just under a millionth of a seconds, vibrating his particles through The Batcave's rugged rock walls. he darted forward, snatching up the Dark Knight in his gloved hands.
"Mr Wayne, I'd like to introduce myself." Zoom smiled crazily through the only gap in his mask. "I am your death."

description:
Professor Eobard "Zoom" Thawne, or "Professor Zoom" and "Reverse-Flash", is a comic book supervillain in the DC Universe. Eobard Thawne is the archenemy of and a foil for the superhero Barry Allen, the second hero to be called the Flash. He is also the second of the Reverse-Flashes, as well as a maternal forefather of Bart Allen and Owen Mercer. Created by John Broome and Carmine Infantino, he first appeared in The Flash (vol. 1) #139 in September 1963, and remained one of Barry Allen's most formidable adversaries in comics over the next quarter century.

In Flash #324, the character was apparently killed by the Flash in an effort to save his fiancée, and spare her the death that Thawne gave to Flash's first wife, Iris. Largely unseen over the next 25 years except in sporadic appearances, Thawne was resurrected by writer Geoff Johns in 2009's The Flash: Rebirth, and reimagined as a major villain in the DC Universe with his reintroduction. Johns compares this to his similar treatment of Green Lantern villain Sinestro in an early outline of the Rebirth series.[1] In 2009, Professor Zoom was ranked as IGN's 31st greatest comic book villain of all time,[2] and in 2015, he was ranked #2 on their Top 5 Flash Villains list.[3] Eobard Thawne/Reverse-Flash made his live action debut in 2014 in the CW's The Flash, portrayed by Tom Cavanagh and Matt Letscher.
I'll post after Enalias posts, and hopefully LupusIntus posts soon. I'll post after those two, or if Lupus takes longer than expected, I suppose I'll go after Enalias.

A few things to fix, and then it will be good to go. One; why did the Marine Corps allow modifications to his armor with the music notes on it? It's an altogether negligible detail though, so if you can't think of something, that's probably fine. Personality needs to be in sentence format. But it's pretty easy to make sentences, just basicallytake the list and say "He is (blah blah blah). He is also (blahblah blah). Around people, he is (blah blah blah)" Like that. Then, is his girlfriend still alive? If so, if she missing or traveling with him? If she's surviving with him I'd ask you to make another sheet for her. If she died, how has that loss affected your character?
