Was talking to someone who worked in closed captioning who is now getting a new degree because so many companies are turning to AI to close caption now… Which AI is pretty shite at it still.

Kiki eyes dance as she watches Avery’s every move, his kiss on her hand setting off goosebumps. “I’ll have to agree.” She says as she bites her lip in thought. She almost winces, afraid she’d split her lip wide open again before she remembers that its healed. She blinks a couple of time and takes a few deep breaths to keep her mind from spiraling out of control.
“Scotch, neat. Please.” Kimiko asks of the bartender almost immediately when they reach the bar. She hopes Avery didn’t catch the little whirlwind of emotions she had just from biting her own lip.
Nicholas “Nic” Wu
Location: Nic’s New Apartment - Chicago, IL Skills: Fit
Nic shakes his head. “Yeah, no. Perfection be damned, I want to make sure my girlfriend is okay. If that means letting the others take on more of the workload for a bit, that’s fine by me. They all owe me favors anyway.” Well, except for maybe Caden’s staff that’s helping them, but Nic will eventually do something to have them owe him a favor, he’s sure.
“When I’m starting to feel overwhelmed and about to have a panic attack, I like to use this method called the ‘five senses grounding technique’. You have five questions you ask yourself that will help pull you out of your own head.” He taps Cass’ head with his finger, still holding her face.
“You’re going to ask yourself what you see. Once you’ve identified that, you’re going to ask what you can feel. Then what you can hear and finally what you can taste and can smell. The last step is to remember to breathe.”

Kiki’s eyes close from the movement of his nose against hers and his soft kiss makes her knees wobbly. “Gods, yes.” She breathed, definitely feeling thirsty in that moment. My wolf She smiles goofily to herself at that thought and opens her eyes to stare into Avery’s. “But seriously, I have never been more attracted to someone than just now. You’re dangerous.”

Nic can’t help but chuckle softly. “It shouldn’t come as a surprise to me that you’ve never taken a vacation before.” He gently prays her face from her hands so he can cup her cheek. “The nice thing about planning this early though is that we have plenty of time to make plans for your shop and our kiddos - including the plants.” He tells her before standing a little to kiss her nose.
“Alright, what else is going on behind those beautiful eyes of yours?”

Kimiko starts, somehow finding Avery’s words just as bad as him turning her for a kiss by her chin earlier. She doesn’t miss the group of older ladies cooing over Avery, however, and that makes her move her feet quickly over to her wolf. Hers? Yes, hers. She grabs his face with both her hands and kisses him a little forcibly before pulling away. “Can you stop being so bloody attractive?” She whispers fiercely to him, face about as red as her fox fire now and probably just as warm.

Nic crouches in front of her chair, resting his hands on her knees and rubbing circles into her legs. “I think you might have had a panic attack… Have you ever had one before? Some people describe it as almost feeling like a heart attack.” His face is full of concern, but he’s still gently smiling up at her. “If you want, I can show you how I cope with them.”

“That was bloody peng.” Is all Kiki can say. It was a true show of skill that he had gotten the first two axes to align, but the wink that Avery shot her before hitting that bullseye made her knees suddenly feel a little weak.
“I mean I’m feeling rand- I mean that was hot.” Her cheeks and ears flame as she realizes how attracted she is to Avery in that moment and she looks away from him, realizing how much she needs a drink.
Peng is slang for ‘hot hot hot’ / Randy is slang for ‘turned on’ Granted this was from a buzzfeed article so…
Nicholas “Nic” Wu

Everyone was laughing a little at Cass’ reaction, but Nic knew something was off when she got quiet and just nodded. “We’ll be right back.” He tells the room before grabbing Cass’ hand and leading her up the stairs and out on the terrace. He has a feeling being outside will be much more helpful than in his room.
“What’s going through that mind of yours? Are you okay?” He asks her gently. Nic’s glad to find that the little chair and table he had at his old place is already set up here and guides Cass into a chair.
Nero nearly breaks the kiss to once again ask where they are going, but finds kissing Caden to be the more enjoyable thing right now. Especially with his wandering hands. They return the passion of the kiss, moving one hand to the back of his neck while the other one plays with his earring. Kissing can be a good way to pass the time, right?

Kiki sets her axe down and quirks an eyebrow at Avery’s request. “By all means, go ahead. I might even enjoy the show.” She replies with a small smirk. If Avery ‘showing off’ meant using any of his fine muscles, Kiki would definitely enjoy it. She was also thankful for the change in subject.
It’s not as if she’s hung up on Caden, but he really is the only one who took her on a date before. For a while, Kimiko thought he’d ruin all other possible dates because he had been a perfect gentleman… and lover. She’s just not sure of how Avery will react if she tells him that the last time she had been intimate with someone else had been with his ‘alpha’. She begins fidgeting with her hands again.

Jane immediately snorts with laughter, nearly doubling over as she cackles. Nic shoots her a glare before smiling gently at Cass. “There will be a medical convention in November, one of the focuses being on nursing. It’ll take place in Montana and I’m wondering if you would like to go to it with me.” Behind him, Jane finally catches her breath, leaning on Kat for support after her uproar.
Nero nods as much as they can in their current position. “Even if you won’t tell me any of the details.” They say, squishing Caden’s cheeks in a little before kissing them again. His hands on their legs keeps sending enjoyable chills up their spine.

“I can’t wait to discover those talents.” Kiki winks at Avery, facing him too as he asks his question. She almost starts chewing on her lip, but she stops herself out of habit from the last week, pulling on her fingers nervously instead.
“I’ve, uh, only really been on like one… I don’t usually make time for dates?” She tells him sheepishly before practically running away to retrieve her axe in embarrassment.

Jane glances over at Kat and the two share a knowing look before Jane turns to Nic. “You know, the medical director’s been on my case about sending someone to this nursing convention in Montana the first week of November. You should go and take Cassi here with you.”
“I just got back to work-” Nic starts to argue but Kat moves closer to and puts a hand on Nic’s shoulder.
“You’ll be back at work for like six weeks by then. You two should go.” She says with an alarmingly pointed look at the nurse.
Nic glances nervously between the two friends before looking over at Cass. “Hey, Cass? Would you like to go to Montana with me in November?”
Nero giggles as they’re carried out of the bathroom. They try to keep their hold on Caden’s thumb, but he knows their weak spots and soon captures their lips. They smile against Caden’s lips before kissing him back, holding his face with both of their small hands. They nip at his bottom lip, unable to stop the giggle that leaves them.

“I’ll be honest, I’ve never really been on a proper date before. What are the typical first date conversations?” Kiki leans against the little ledge as Avery makes his way back. “Shame about the bullseye though.” She adds as a tease before she throws her next axe. She doesn’t make a big show of aiming this time, easily hitting another bullseye.

“I’d rather have our first time not be where I work.” Nic mumbles as the elevator doors open and the two lift the couch and carry it into the apartment.
“Wait, you two haven’t…??”
Nic gives her a flat look. “It’s never been the right moment - last week she had that concussion and this week I’ve been busy with work and the move… I want it to be special.”
“You’re such a girl, Nic, I swear to god.” Jane says before quickly changing the subject as Ren Wu comes through the door with more boxes.
Nero makes a sheepish expression, their face turning red at the comment. “I do…” They say as they twist their hand to hold Caden’s wrist and bite down on his thumb instead, a wide grin spreading on their face.
“Sometimes I just need to bite something though.” Nero says, holding Caden’s thumb in between their teeth as they talked still.

Kiki laughs before making the trek to go grab her axe from the wall before rejoining Avery. “I think that chump will think twice before underestimating someone again.” Kiki coos with a wide grin as she sets the axe on the ledge with the others. She tucks her hair behind both ears and looks at Avery, waiting to see his attempt.

Nic sets the box on the trolley before he and Jane pick up the couch and head into the elevator with it, but he stays a little distracted by the pretty little sorceress he had left in the moving van. When the elevator doors close, Jane calls Nic’s name several times before he realizes and grins sheepishly at her. “What was that?”
Jane huffs, but laughs as she shakes her head. “I was asking how the two of you were doing, but that kind of answered my question. I’m glad you’re going to have your own space now because you two need it. Although, there’s always the on-call room.” She wiggles her eyebrows at Nic before laughing as his ears grow warm again.
Nero tries their best not to look like a guilty party trapped, but it’s hard when they turn around and see how much of the doorframe Caden takes up. The little imp momentarily considers locking themself in the shower before they decide that would just be futile. With an innocent smile, Nero spins in a circle to look around before meeting Caden at the door. “I, uh, seem to have trapped myself.” They say before biting their thumb as they look up at Caden before smiling crookedly.

Kiki, sensing the tension practically rolling off of Avery, squeezes his hand and places her other hand on his upper arm, leaning into him more as the instructor finally lets go of his previous misconceptions. When he finally offers an axe, Kimiko kisses Avery’s cheek before unwrapping herself from the wolf to take the axe.
She makes a show of looking like she’s trying to line up the axe with the target before she easily tosses it and hits the bullseye. Kiki turns to look at Avery and smirk, feeling like she could be the Chesire Cat’s twin. “Wow, I must be lucky, huh?” She says in her best ‘valley girl’ American accent. The instructor just kind of stands there with his mouth agape before he hands over the rest of the axes for their turn and goes to help someone else.

Nic pins her a little more against the wall of the van, one hand leaned against it for support by Cass’ head while his other hand holds her waist. He lets them both get a little lost in the moment, Nic almost ready to pick her up and move her to the now available couch, until he hears the doors open and the very clear voices of Jane and Kat.
He pulls away from Cass, breathing a little heavily, as he runs his thumb over her bottom lip, subconsciously licking his own before he pecks her nose and picks up the box he had stolen from her. Jane and Kat’s faces appear just as he starts walking to exit the truck with the box. “I think we’re about ready to try our hands at getting the couch inside.” If either of his friends notice how red his ears are, they keep it to themselves.
Nero smirks as they follow Caden’s eyes until his are locked onto their own. “Maybe another time - something else has caught my attention instead.” They wink slyly before jumping off the bed and running into the bathroom. “This bathroom for instance!” They say gleefully.

Kiki purses her lips and narrows her eyes playfully at Avery. “Then why does my trainer make me work on upper body strength so often?” She teases before pulling him along so they can get an instructor and lane for the axe throwing. She doesn’t miss that the human employee seems to think she won’t be able to participate.

Nic bites his lip as he watches Cass tease him, very aware of how warm his ears had grown. “Much better and much more distracting.” He throws a glance at the doors to see if anyone is walking out before jumping easily into the van, plucking the box out of her hands to set it down, and pulling Cass in for a deep kiss,
